Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether or not the Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE) is a reliable instrument for determining the level of vigour with which recreational runners engage in their workouts. Information was gathered from a number of runners who were engaged in training of varied intensities, and their RPE ratings were compared with other techniques of determining the intensity of their training. According to the findings of the investigation, there is a significant association between the RPE scores and the actual severity of the training, which suggests that RPE has the potential to be a useful tool in assisting runners in regulating the intensity of their training. On the other hand, this research has certain shortcomings, such as the use of subjective measuring techniques, a very small sample size, and the possibility of bias in the RPE response. An improvement in the validity and accuracy of the use of RPE, an investigation into the variables that impact perceptions of exercise intensity, and an evaluation of the association between RPE and long-term exercise results are some of the recommendations for future study.

Abstract

Basketball shoes are one piece of equipment that determines comfort and the risk of injury that an individual will experience during the game. This research aims to show the segmentation of basketball shoe consumers based on local or imported products in the Bandung city basketball community. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative, where data is obtained through questionnaires based on demographics, socio-economics, geography, habits or culture, as well as psychographics. The samples taken were 70 individuals using the purposive sampling method, the samples taken were individuals who regularly played basketball in a basketball community in the city of Bandung. Based on the data obtained, imported basketball shoe products are more popular than local basketball shoe products. This is based on greater perceived comfort, a sense of security from the risk of injury, a more attractive model, and the social status obtained when using imported basketball shoe products. The conclusion from this research is that imported basketball shoe products tend to be more popular, so that segmentations such as prestige lover, comfort seeker, attention model and trend follower can be obtained. Local basketball shoe products need to pay more attention to the quality and promotional strategies used, so they will not be left behind by imported shoe products.

In improving the ability of athletes in particular athlete athletics PPLP in NTT carried out with various physical exercises activities. Based on the above description that the Development of Physical Ability Athletes Taekwondo PPLP Provincial NTT” has not achieved satisfactory results. This is due to the lack of attention of the coaches to the proram of good training to improve the physical severity of athletes so that athlete's performance is still not maximum. That nutritional status athletes are all normal or not obese. That improved physical workout results are better on formability, strength, and endurance components than on speed, power, and speed endurance.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to produce a test model for woodball game technique skills for South Sumatran woodball athletes. This test model is adapted to the match patterns and playing techniques of South Sumatran woodball athletes. This type of research is research and development using the Sugiyono model. The small scale trial consisted of 9 IGM club athletes, the large scale total of all South Sumatra woodball athletes was 12 people. Data collection uses interview sheets, value scales, test effectiveness observation sheets and test result data sheets. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research are a form of woodball game technical skills test as outlined in the woodball game technical skills test manual consisting of long area, parking area and shoot on the gate tests. Testing the validity of the test instrument produces a correlation coefficient of 0.915 with valid criteria. Testing the reliability of the test produces a correlation coefficient of 0.928 with reliable information. The evaluation carried out by material experts can be concluded that the woodball game technique skill test model is suitable for use for South Sumatra woodball athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of speed and balance directly on the front kick. As well as knowing the influence of speed and balance on the front thrust through the explosive power of the leg muscles. This study used the Path Analysis design or Path Analisys. The population is male athletes of Patbanbu Pencak Silat college in Pekanbaru City with samples using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study from the regression analysis testing of structure 1 and structure 2 showed that there was a direct influence of speed on the explosive power of leg muscles by 26.4%. There is a direct effect of balance on the explosive power of leg muscles by 23%. There is a direct influence of speed on front kick ability of 23.4%. There is a direct influence of balance on front kick ability by 1.4%. There is a direct influence of the explosive power of the leg muscles on the ability of the front kick by 72.4%. Judging from the value of α 0.05, the direct influence of speed and balance on the variable explosive power of leg muscles is all significant because the P value < 0.05. Likewise, the variables of speed, balance and explosive power against the ability of the front kick are also significant because the P value < 0.05. Furthermore, the influence of the speed variable on the ability of the front kick through explosive power was 12.6%. While the effect of balance on the ability of the front kick through explosive power is 18.5%. So it can be concluded that the better the speed, balance and explosive power of the leg muscles, the better the ability of the front kick.

Abstract

Futsal is a form of indoor soccer played on a smaller field compared to regular soccer, with fewer players on each team. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fartlek training on increasing VO2Max of Sinjay FC Bangkalan futsal players. This study used an experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were 25 samples and the sampling technique used cluster sampling, which is a sampling method that involves dividing the target population into groups that are made into research samples so that the sample of this study is U 17-18 athletes who follow the Sinjay FC Bangkalan club. Based on the results of the study that there is a significant effect of fartlek training there is an increase in VO2Max futsal club Sinjay FC Bangkalan which has been taken from the pretest with an average of the total initial test of 35.254. With the treatment of fartlek training VO2Max in Sinjay FC Bangkalan futsal athletes can increase. The results of VO2Max measurements after treatment showed that the overall average of the final evaluation showed an increase to 37.992. So that it has been tested by, prerequisite test and hypothesis test from the analysis of research data obtained it can be seen that the Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the effect of fartlek training on increasing VO2Max athletes who are real between fartlek training and control training. The results of this analysis will show how strong or weak the relationship between fartlek training performed by futsal players and the increase in their VO2Max.
