Abstract

UMKM are crucial to local economies but constantly struggle with branding and digital marketing. This community service program supported Snack Mak Asih, an UMKM in Dusun Karya 1, Desa Jawa Tengah, Sungai Ambawang District, by strengthening its brand identity and marketing strategies. Using Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) and Service-Learning approaches, the program empowered university students as facilitators. The activities included designing effective product labels, creating eye - catching packaging, and using social media for digital promotion. The results clearly showed the UMKM participants grasping the importance of branding. The proactively making their own product label's and now they are ready to facing the modern market demands. This program not only enhanced product value but also highlighted the innovation in a competitive market. This intervention has proven its positive impact on business sustainability and bosted UMKM contribution to rural economic development.

Abstract

The community service program at Therapy Bhakti Luhur Pontianak was implemented with the aim of improving the business management capacity and independence of children with disabilities. The background to this activity was the limited human resources in managing the marketing of the orphanage's products, such as batik, bead bracelets, and rosaries, as well as the children's low self-management skills. The implementation method included the development of a marketing management education website, self-management training with a participatory approach, and holding a Talk Show and Beads Workshop involving the community. The results of the activity showed an increase in the competence of the management in digital marketing, product packaging, and social media optimization. On the other hand, the children showed development in aspects of self-regulation, collaboration skills, and emotional expression. This program is aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 10, Reduced Inequalities, through efforts to eliminate discrimination and strengthen social inclusion. Overall, this activity makes a significant contribution to the empowerment of the orphanage and children with disabilities, and has the potential to be replicated in similar institutions.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Panti Asuhan Getsemani, Pontianak, untuk meningkatkan kapasitas profesional generasi muda melalui pelatihan soft skills, etika, dan kewirausahaan. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi anak panti adalah rendahnya kepercayaan diri, keterampilan komunikasi terbatas, serta kurangnya pengalaman praktis. Program dirancang dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dan strategi Experiential Learning (EL), yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif peserta. Tahapan pelaksanaan meliputi survei kebutuhan, persiapan teknis, pelatihan public speaking, penguatan etika sosial dan profesional, serta simulasi kewirausahaan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keberanian berbicara, kesadaran etika, kerjasama tim, serta tumbuhnya semangat wirausaha. Sebagai luaran, anak-anak berhasil membentuk unit usaha sederhana Lapak Kreasi Getsemani, Bunga Hias Pontianak, yang dapat berlanjut secara mandiri. Kegiatan ini membekali anak panti dengan keterampilan praktis yang mendukung kemandirian dan daya saing mereka.

Abstract

Training on marketing techniques and strategies for processed papaya products, and distribution of processed products has been provided to the Banyumuli farmer group in Bojong Village, Banjarwangi District, Garut Regency, West Java Province. Road access constraints from the producer's location to the market, both to the district capital market and/or provincial capital, are an obstacle to the low income earned by this farmer group. Due to the long travel time, fresh papaya fruit quickly wilts and rots during the journey, thus lowering the selling price. Training on making formulas for processed papaya fruit products in the form of jam, syrup, and jelly candy has been carried out, then the training was continued with techniques and strategies for marketing these processed products. One of the priority problems faced is the aspect of human resource management and distribution strategies for processed products for short, medium and long distances. The method used was qualitative research with a case study approach in a Banyumuli farmer group whose main business is papaya. Data collection techniques included documentation, focus group discussions (FGDs), observation, and interviews. The training objectives are (1) to provide direction for selecting additional group members as production staff, (2) to provide training in making processed product formulas, and (3) to determine marketing techniques and strategies for processed products. The training results showed that participants were motivated to become group members, had the skills to create processed papaya product formulas, and were able to apply marketing techniques and strategies for these processed products.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the understanding and skills of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Cijayanti Village through the application of digital innovation. The program was carried out through training sessions, workshops, and practical mentoring, focusing on the use of social media, e-commerce platforms, and simple applications to support marketing and business management. The results showed an increase in participants’ knowledge and basic skills in creating digital promotional content, managing social media accounts, and starting the use of online stores. In addition, the program fostered motivation among MSME actors to develop technology-based marketing strategies. Although the long-term impact cannot yet be measured due to limited monitoring time, this activity serves as an initial foundation for MSMEs in Cijayanti Village to enhance their competitiveness through the adoption of digital innovation.

Abstract

Program Kuliah Kerja Mahasiswa (KKM) di Panti Asuhan Kasih Abadi difokuskan pada penggalangan dana untuk memperbaiki kondisi fisik dan kesejahteraan anak-anak panti. Berdasarkan survei awal, ditemukan permasalahan serius seperti atap bocor, dinding kusam, serta kekurangan bahan pangan. Tim KKM melaksanakan program selama 24 hari (7–31 Juli) dengan strategi penggalangan dana yang mencakup penjualan basreng dan puding, kampanye media sosial, serta distribusi proposal kepada perusahaan (CSR) dan donatur individu. Penjualan makanan dilakukan secara offline di area taman Auditorium Universitas Tanjungpura. Total dana terkumpul mencapai Rp 4.281.600,00 dan digunakan untuk memperbaiki atap, mengecat ulang dinding, serta menyediakan kebutuhan sembako. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa kampanye dengan kombinasi penjualan langsung dan crowdfunding sangat efektif dalam mendukung kegiatan sosial.

Abstract

Abstract. The literacy culture in Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPQ) still faces challenges since children’s reading activities are generally limited to learning Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an (BTQ), while reading storybooks has not yet become a habit. This condition underlies the implementation of a community service program with the theme of Islamic literacy, aiming to foster reading interest while strengthening children’s character values. The objective of this activity is to develop a literacy culture through the implementation of the GARASI (Gerakan Literasi Islami) program based on prophetic stories, integrated with 15-minute reading habits, reading journal writing, and reward mechanisms. The method applied was Participatory Action Research (PAR), involving 49 students of TPQ Baitul Ilmi Ceria Palumbonsari, Karawang Timur, along with teachers and TPQ administrators. The results show improvements in soft skills, including motivation, reading initiative, and the ability to reflect on moral values from readings, while hard skills were reflected in the development of basic writing abilities through reading journals. This program also fostered more active and creative literacy practices, although challenges such as time constraints, limited book collections, and insufficient parental involvement remain. Therefore, the implementation of GARASI proves to be a strategic step in strengthening children’s Islamic literacy culture in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Children with mild intellectual disability (ID) typically have an IQ ranging between 50 and 70. They retain the capacity to learn basic reading, writing, and arithmetic, and can adapt to social life with appropriate guidance. However, they frequently experience difficulties in concentrating, comprehending abstract concepts, and completing complex tasks. Consequently, they require specialized education and therapy to ensure their potential is developed optimally.  This study aims to determine the effect of the engklek traditional game on improving concentration and social skills in children with mild intellectual disability. The community service activities employed explanation and Q&A sessions, demonstration and re-demonstration, followed by evaluation. The traditional game of engklek was found to enhance both concentration and social skills in children with mild intellectual disabilities.  The engklek game has a positive influence on improving the concentration and social skills of children with mild intellectual disability. Through the activity of playing engklek, children are trained to focus on game rules, regulate their movements precisely, and sustain attention throughout the activity. This process was proven effective in increasing their concentration ability. Furthermore, Engklek also provides opportunities for children to interact with peers, learn to wait their turn, cooperate, and adhere to group rules. These activities help enhance children's social skills in communication and socialization. Therefore, the engklek game can be utilized as an enjoyable and effective learning method for improving the concentration and social skills of children with mild intellectual disability in special education settings.

Abstract

The "Strengthening Digital Financial Literacy in the Babakan Gerung Community" program aims to increase public understanding of the safe and effective use of digital wallets. With the advancement of digital technology, the use of digital wallets such as ShopeePay, Dana, OVO, and LinkAja is growing. However, some residents, particularly in Babakan Gerung, still have limited understanding of the security features and potential risks associated with using these applications. This activity was carried out through four main stages: data collection, outreach, education, and mentoring. Data collection was conducted to identify digital wallet users and explore their experiences with digital fraud. The education program involved inviting resource persons to provide understanding on how to safely use digital wallets, including setting up two-step verification and protecting personal data. The mentoring program aimed to help the community understand how to secure their accounts and conduct transactions safely. Evaluations showed that after participating in the education and mentoring, most participants felt more confident and prepared to use digital wallets wisely. The evaluation also indicated that the program was successful in increasing digital financial literacy and reducing the community's reliance on cash transactions

Abstract

Based on the phenomenon that children often have difficulty memorizing the Qur'an outside of class hours, the role of tahfizh teachers is very important in maintaining the quality of children's memorization, in terms of fluency, consistency, and encouragement to repeat. The purpose of this mentoring program is to help children at Rumah Tahfizh Darul Musthafa memorize the Qur'an fluently, monitor their progress, build motivation, overcome difficulties in memorization, and improve the quality of their Qur'an memorization. This service method uses Participatory Action Research (PAR), which addresses children's difficulties in memorizing the Qur'an through collaboration between teachers and parents in advancing Qur'an memorization. Children, parents, and tahfizh teachers are actively involved in every phase of the activity. The results of the mentoring program show that tahfizh teachers are able to significantly improve the quality of children's memorization with the help of joint monitoring and evaluation strategies, as well as active communication with parents. Teachers and parents work together to create plans that suit each child's needs. Therefore, the guidance of tahfizh teachers not only helps academically but also builds discipline, incentives, and a supportive atmosphere for children to memorize the Qur'an.
