Abstract

Loneliness among social media users is often associated with dissatisfaction with real-life social relationships, which may encourage individuals to seek alternative forms of connection in virtual environments. One such phenomenon is the use of roleplay accounts on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where users construct virtual relationships such as romantic partners, families, or friendship networks. This study aimed to analyze the influence of perceived social support and fear of missing out (FoMO) on loneliness among roleplay account users. A quantitative research approach with a correlational design was employed. The participants consisted of 385 roleplay account users on social media platform X, selected using the snowball sampling technique. Data were collected using standardized instruments, namely the UCLA Loneliness Scale (Version 3), the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and the Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS). Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression analysis to examine both partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on loneliness. The results indicated that social support and fear of missing out each had a significant partial effect on loneliness, with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Furthermore, social support and FoMO simultaneously influenced loneliness, accounting for 48% of the variance. Higher levels of perceived social support were associated with lower levels of loneliness, while higher levels of FoMO were associated with increased loneliness. These findings suggest that although roleplay communities may provide a sense of belonging, psychological factors such as social support and FoMO remain critical determinants of loneliness. This study highlights the importance of strengthening perceived social support and managing FoMO to reduce loneliness among roleplay account users in online social environments.

Abstract

The acceleration of digital transformation has fostered an always-on work culture in which employees are expected to remain continuously connected and responsive beyond formal working hours. This condition has blurred the boundaries between work and personal life and poses serious risks to employees’ psychological well-being. This study aimed to examine the role of job demands in the development of burnout among employees working within a continuous connectivity work culture in Jakarta. A quantitative, non-experimental design was employed. Data were collected from 133 employees working in various companies in Jakarta using the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT) and the Job Demands–Resources Questionnaire (JD-R). Descriptive analysis indicated that both perceived job demands and burnout levels were relatively high among participants. Pearson correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between job demands and burnout (r = 0.414, p < 0.001). This relationship was further confirmed through linear regression analysis, which showed that job demands significantly predicted burnout (F = 27.045, p < 0.001), explaining 17.1% of the variance in burnout (R² = 0.171). Additional analysis demonstrated that job demands had the strongest influence on the emotional impairment dimension of burnout compared to other dimensions. These findings indicate that increasing work pressures, particularly in digitally driven environments that require constant availability, substantially elevate the risk of burnout among employees. The study reinforces the Job Demands–Resources model, emphasizing that excessive job demands without sufficient resources contribute to employee exhaustion and emotional impairment. The results highlight the urgent need for organizations to implement sustainable work management strategies, such as regulating after-hours connectivity and promoting work–life balance, to protect employees’ mental health in the era of digital work.

Abstract

Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) memainkan peran krusial sebagai garda terdepan dalam memberikan layanan konseling di lingkungan sekolah. Oleh karena itu, psychological wellbeing mereka merupakan faktor penting yang harus diperhatikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konstruk psikologis yang memengaruhi psychological wellbeing guru BK serta mengkategorikan tingkat psychological wellbeing mereka. Dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) berdasarkan kerangka kerja PRISMA, strategi PICO, dan inklusifitas data, lima studi empiris yang relevan dianalisis. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa emotional intelligence, dukungan sosial keluarga, self-compassion, self-efficacy, spiritual intelligence, religiosity, serta faktor demografis (jenis kelamin dan status sosial ekonomi) berpengaruh positif terhadap psychological wellbeing. Sebaliknya, komponen empathy berupa personal distress memberikan dampak negatif. Kajian ini juga mengungkap bahwa guru BK laki-laki menunjukkan tingkat psychological wellbeing yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan guru BK perempuan, dengan tingkat kesejahteraan secara umum berada pada kategori sedang hingga rendah di dua wilayah penelitian yang dianalisis. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan psychological wellbeing guru BK dengan memperhatikan faktor-faktor kontributif tersebut, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat memperluas cakupan ilmu dari psychological wellbeing untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut kompleksitas dinamika kesejahteraan guru BK.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is defined in terms of pleasure and reward. It includes an evaluative assessment of one's job or work situation, reflecting their response to the characteristics, challenges, and benefits of their job. Work-Family Balance is a comprehensive evaluation of the achievement of roles carried out by individuals in connection with the expectation of negotiation and division of roles with partners in carrying out their roles both in the realm of work and family. This study is to determine whether there is a correlation between Work-Family Balance and Job satisfaction in working moms as nurses. using a quantitative approach with a total of 88 participants obtained using purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool is the Job Satisfaction scale by Hills et al, (2011) of 10 items and the Work-family Balance scale by Carlson et al, (2009) of 6 items. Data analysis used non-parametric correlation test techniques. The correlation test results show a Spearman's rho value of r = 0.452 with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means that there is a fairly strong positive relationship between Work-Family Balance and Job Satisfaction in working moms as nurses. Thus, the better the Work-Family Balance that nurses have, the Job Satisfaction also tends to increase.

Abstract

Coaching telah berkembang menjadi disiplin ilmiah yang diakui global, namun dihadapkan pada fragmentasi teori dan kurangnya integrasi interdisipliner. Penelitian ini bertujuan mensintesis teori psikologi, pedagogi, dan manajemen untuk menciptakan kerangka coaching yang holistik, adaptif, dan relevan dengan konteks lokal, khususnya Indonesia. Metode systematic literature review dengan analisis tematik diterapkan pada 44 artikel terpilih (2020–2025) dari database Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, dan jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Hasil menunjukkan tiga temuan utama: (1) Psikologi, melalui Self-Determination Theory (SDT) dan Psychological Safety, menjadi fondasi peningkatan motivasi intrinsik, well-being, dan perubahan perilaku individu; (2) Pedagogi, terutama prinsip andragogi dan pembelajaran transformatif, meningkatkan retensi keterampilan serta efektivitas coaching melalui pendekatan dialogis dan teknologi (e-coaching); (3) Manajemen, dengan model sistemik dan managerial coaching, mengoptimalkan kinerja organisasi, inovasi, serta adaptasi perubahan. Kontekstualisasi budaya, seperti integrasi nilai Tri Hita Karana (Bali) dan kearifan lokal pesantren (Jawa Barat), terbukti meningkatkan penerimaan dan dampak coaching di Indonesia. Sintesis interdisipliner ini menawarkan model coaching berbasis bukti yang menjembatani kebutuhan individu, strategi organisasi, dan nilai kultural, sekaligus menjawab tantangan fragmentasi teoritis. Implikasi praktis mencakup peningkatan kepemimpinan adaptif, transformasi digital UMKM, serta penguatan keberlanjutan organisasi melalui pendekatan yang terpersonalisasi dan inklusif.

Abstract

Learning independence is an essential aspect of students’ academic development, particularly at the senior high school level, as it enables students to manage their learning processes, set goals, and take responsibility for their academic outcomes. One approach that has been widely recognized for fostering learning independence is Self-Regulated Learning (SRL), which emphasizes students’ ability to plan, monitor, and evaluate their own learning activities. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the application of Self-Regulated Learning techniques in improving students’ learning independence. The study was conducted at SMAN 5 Banda Aceh using a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research sample consisted of 36 senior high school students. Data were collected using questionnaires measuring learning independence and self-regulated learning, and the data were analyzed using a t-test. The results showed a significant difference between pretest scores (M = 70.31) and posttest scores (M = 77.15), with a t value of 5.127 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the implementation of Self-Regulated Learning techniques is effective in increasing students’ learning independence. The improvement was reflected in a shift in students’ learning independence levels from low to moderate and high categories. This study provides empirical evidence that SRL can be effectively applied as a strategy within guidance and counseling services to promote students’ autonomy in learning. The findings suggest that consistent application of SRL techniques can help students develop better self-management skills, enhance motivation, and foster responsible learning behaviors that are essential for long-term academic success.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between sibling relationships and academic performance in university students. Sibling relationships involve social, emotional, and cognitive interactions between siblings that can influence various aspects of life, including academic achievement. This research employs a correlational quantitative approach, involving 380 university students who have siblings. Data collection was conducted using the Lifespan Sibling Relationship Scale (LSRS) questionnaire and academic data based on the Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA). Data analysis using the Spearman Rho test indicated no significant relationship between sibling relationships and academic performance (r = 0.009, p > 0.05). The findings suggest that the quality of sibling relationships does not have a significant impact on students' academic performance. These results provide insight that, although sibling relationships may contribute to emotional and social development, external factors have a greater influence on academic performance. A recommended suggestion is to explore other dominant factors that more significantly affect students' academic performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional maturity and forgiveness among late-adolescent females who experienced breakups due to infidelity. A quantitative correlational approach was employed, involving 114 female university students aged 18–21 who had experienced infidelity in romantic relationships. The instruments used were the Emotional Maturity Scale (EMS) and the Transgression-Related Interpersonal Motivations (TRIM-18). The findings revealed a significant positive relationship between emotional maturity and forgiveness. These results indicate that individuals with higher emotional maturity tend to have a greater capacity to forgive. The study highlights the importance of developing emotional maturity to support emotional healing in young women after breakups caused by infidelity.

Abstract

Adolescents studying at SMAN Siwalima Ambon demonstrate distinctive developmental characteristics shaped by a boarding school education system and the school’s status as an elite institution with high academic and non-academic expectations. These conditions foster strong achievement motivation and competitiveness, while simultaneously increasing vulnerability to perfectionistic tendencies. Although adaptive perfectionism may support high achievement, maladaptive perfectionism is often associated with psychological stress, excessive self-criticism, and emotional difficulties. In this context, self-compassion is considered an important psychological resource that enables adolescents to respond more adaptively to failure and pressure. This study aimed to explore the moderating role of self-compassion in the relationship between achievement motivation and perfectionism among adolescents at SMAN Siwalima Ambon. A quantitative correlational design was employed. The participants consisted of 161 students aged 15 to 21 years. Data were collected using the M-CUP Scale to measure perfectionism (α = 0.90), the Achievement Motivation Scale (α = 0.860), and the Self-Compassion Scale (α = 0.872). Data analysis was conducted using moderated regression analysis. The results indicated that achievement motivation and self-compassion each had a significant negative effect on perfectionism. The results highlight the importance of developing school-based psychological interventions and guidance programs that promote self-compassion and adaptive achievement motivation to support students’ well-being in high-demand educational settings.

Abstract

The Urban Marital Satisfaction Scale (UMSS) was developed to measure marital satisfaction among couples living in urban areas by emphasizing financial and communication aspects that are often overlooked in previous instruments. This scale was constructed based on the theoretical framework of Spanier and Busby, which includes three key dimensions: dyadic consensus, dyadic cohesion, and dyadic satisfaction. A total of 52 initial items were developed and tested through readability trials, expert judgment, and item analysis. Based on empirical testing with married individuals aged 20 to 40 years, who had been married for at least two years, a total of 21 items were retained in the final version of the scale. The item selection process involved eliminating poorly performing items and revising ambiguous or culturally unfamiliar statements. Psychometric evaluations showed that the UMSS demonstrates strong internal consistency and good construct validity. The scale is also able to distinguish between individuals with high and low levels of marital satisfaction. These findings indicate that the UMSS is a reliable and valid measurement tool that can be used in psychological assessments and interventions targeting urban couples.
