Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mengembangkan modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi keanekaragaman makhluk hidup untuk memecahkan masalah belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran; menguji kelayakan produk modul pembelajaran yang dikembangkan; dan menguji efektivitas produk modul untuk mata pelajaran IPA siswa SMPN 1 Kendal Kabupaten Ngawi. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan mengacu pada modifikasi model pengembangan Borg and Gall (1989), yang meliputi 5 tahap yaitu, tahap studi pendahuluan, tahap desain produk (perencanaan dan pengembangan draf produk), tahap validasi dan revisi, tahap uji coba dan revisi produk, dan produk akhir. Uji coba dilaksanakan dalam 4 tahap, yaitu tahap pertama review dengan ahli isi/materi serta ahli media pembelajaran, tahap kedua uji coba praktisi, tahap ketiga uji coba produk kelompok kecil terhadap 10 siswa, tahap terakhir uji coba lapangan dalam setting eksperimen terhadap 49 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: perolehan rata-rata penilaian hampir semua tahapan, yaitu pada uji coba ahli adalah 3,6 dalam skala empat, nilai tersebut termasuk kategori “sangat baik”. Pada uji coba oleh praktisi total rata-rata keseluruhan adalah 3,8 dalam skala empat (“sangat baik”). Pada uji coba skala kecil total rata-rata keseluruhan adalah kategori 3,7 dalam skala empat (“sangat baik”). Pada uji coba lapangan total rata-rata keseluruhan adalah 3,7 dalam tabel skala empat (“sangat baik”); efektivitas produk dilihat melalui skor rata-rata post test kelompok yang diberi perlakuan adalah 84,96 dan skor rata-rata post test kelompok yang menggunakan modul tanpa multimedia adalah 79,21. Hasil uji coba dengan menggunakan uji t menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan nilai yang diperoleh siswa yang menggunakan modul disertai multimedia dan siswa yang menggunakan modul tanpa multimedia.

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the effectivenness of headmaster’s leadership toward the implementation of curiculum 2004. This research focused on the the integrity of the headmaste, his ability on overcoming the institution’s problems and his leadership style and related them with the leadership’s effectivenessin in carrying the implementation of the curiculum 2004. This research was carried out at SMAN 7 Yogyakarta, SMAN 11 Yogyakarta, SMAN Sewon and SMAN Kalasan. The data collected by anquette were analyzed by double regression and Pearson’s correlation using SPSS release 10. Intepretation was then made descriptivelly.The results showed that all, the integrity, ability to solve the institution’s problems, and the ladership style of the headmaster, together, affected the leadership’s effectiveness of the headmaster during implementation of curiculum 2004.

Abstract

The goals of this research were knowing difficulties of biological learning in a point of view of personal pre-academic ability and self-learning processes of second grade of SMUN 4. The research was carried out bycollecting the data by using the ex post facto method. Cluster random sampling technique was used when sampling. Two ways Anava was used to analyze the observed data.The result showed that there are significant impacts of personal pre academic ability, and self-learning processes toward the difficulties of biological learning. Those can be seen from the value of F observed <o, os.-2. 3o>=12,667 > Ftable {0,05:2, 30)-3> 32. Abstract

ABSTRACT- It has been widely accepted that environmental degradation is caused mainly by human anthropogenic activities. Indeed, injudicious exploitation towards    natural resources has caused many negative externalities. Hence, cultural efforts are needed due to prevent further degree of degradation. According to the aforementioned goals, people behavior becomes a key factor of realizing sustainable environment. And this change of behavior can be achieved through education. As pertained to the             importance of education in environmental conservation Toyota has contributed to to this good programme trough the programme called the Toyota Eco-Youth (TEY).  This green programme is performed towards students of SMA Negeri 1 Depok. A research about  environmental awareness then is needed to assess student’s motivation to participate in the Toyota Eco Youth programme. This research is considered as a quantitative research. Questionnaire was used to collect the data from all the responden. Samples are taken  randomly in a proportional manner. The collected data were descriptively analyzed by  using descriptive statistic. The result of this research shows that student of SMA Negeri 1 Depok is higly motivated in performing environmentally friendly action. This condition is a good physiological capital to realize chapaign to promote a good environmenta attitude towards the youth. Keywords : Environmental attitude, Student’s motivation, Toyota Eco Youth

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology in the 21st century requires students to think critically, creatively and highly a positive attitude towards science, society, and possess initiative correspond to issues resulted by the impact of science and technology’s application. Learning model that correspond to the development of science and technology is STS learning model, because the learning model allows students actively involved in learning and to show the role of science and technology in society. The aim of this research is to know the influence of STS learning model toward biology learning achievement of X degree students at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in 2012/2013 academic year. This research was a quasi experiment research using posttest only non equivalent group design. This research applied STS learning model towards experimental group upon class X at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in academic year 2012/2013. Cluster sampling was used upon the population. Data was collected using test and non test method, and analyzed by t-test. T-test results of the three domains is t count > t table so that Ho is rejected. This research concluded that the application of STS learning model has taken good effect toward student’s achievement cognitive, psychomotor, and  affective domain in learning biology of SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali.

Abstract

Serangga hama tanaman sawi merupakan masalah dalam budidaya tanaman sawi. Oleh karenanya perlu dilakukan pengendalian hama serangga tanaman sawi. Salah satu cara pengendaliannya adalah dengan menggunakan insektisida nabati. Insektisida nabati dapat dibuat dari tanaman yang terdapat di lingkungan, misalnya cabe jawa dan jahe merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas kombinasi ekstrak cabe jawa dan  jahe merah terhadap pengendalian hama serangga tanaman sawi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan  rancangan penelitian berupa rancangan acak lengkap. Pemberian kombinasi ekstrak cabe jawa dan jahe merah menggunakan konsentrasi 50%. Data yang diambil berupa intensitas serangan serangga hama terhadap daun tanaman sawi yang diamati pada hari ke 10, 17, dan 24. Data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teknik analisis sidik ragam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Fhitung intensitas serangan serangga hama pada hari ke 10, 17, dan 24 > Ftabel yang dapat diartikan kombinasi ekstrak cabe jawa dan jahe merah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap intensitas serangga hama tanaman sawi. Dengan demikian, kombinasi ekstrak cabe jawa dan jahe merah dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai insektisida nabati ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

This research aims at exploring the contribution of the shade of treetowards the density of earthworms. The convertionof forest into a farmland causeda change in the shade of tree from a closed into an open ecosystem that was predicted to be followed by the decrease of earthworms density. The kinds of land thatis used for research are forest, complex agroforestry, simple agroforestry, teak monoculture, teak-accacia polyculture, and peanut crops. The data were analyzed quantitatively using statistical methods by SPSS 0.16. The results show that the wide oftree shade contributes to the density of earthworms on rainy season as much as 71.5% and also contributes to the density of earthworms on dry season as much as 52.2%. From the results, it can be concluded that the shade of tree has a strong role towards the density of earthworms.

Abstract

Rawa Pening is a semi-natural lake and estuary of 16 rivers located in 9 sub-watersheds (watershed). Rawa Pening is a habitat of various types of freshwater fish, such as tilapia, koan, cork, catfish, wader, betutu, and mujair. In this research, inventory of fishing gear used by fishermen in Rawa Pening with Purposive Random Sampling method. Data from the caught fish species were observed directly and interviews with the respondents. The purpose of this study is to identify and inventory the methods and types of fishing gear used by the fishermen and the types of fish caught in the context of conservation. From the research conducted there is a link between fishing gear used with the type of fish caught in Rawa Pening. The catching tools commonly used in Rawa Pening are quite specific for some species of fish. The number of fish species commonly caught is 17 species of fish. For the three types of fish that have the highest percentage of caught various types of fishing gear is (Osteochilus hasselti) and tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) 75% and fish cork (Channa striata) of 62.5%. The catching tools in Rawa Pening are classified as net gear net (gill net), branjang (lift net) and nets. Meanwhile, for fishing gear in the form of trap is bubu / icir. In addition, there are other fishing gear such as spear, fishing line, kere and so on. The net-type fishing gear is found in Rawa Pening waters and has a high average catch rate. Branjang and Kere belong to the highest fishing gear in catching various types of fish and less selective for catching fish. The introduction of introduced fish becomes another factor besides fishing gear against endemic fish population level in Rawa Pening.

Abstract

Microalgae in Sidoarjo Porong River is one component that can be used as bio-indicators of an imbalance in the ecosystem due to pollution load. Since the end of 2009, the River Porong Sidoarjo mud flow of water into which further aggravate the pollutant load to the Porong River. Water disposal Sidoarjo mud into the Porong River is thought to cause changes in the quality or increase water pollution. This study aims to determine phytoplankton found and to know the status of pollution in the river Besuki Porong Sidoarjo. Sampling was performed twice microalgae by using a plankton net and without plankton net or directly in September 2014. The results showed that the kind of microalgae found Synedra sp. The River Porong Sidoarjo. Synedra sp. is a type of algae from Chrysophyceae division that can live in almost every aquatic environment enough sunlight to sustain its activities. Environmental factors were measured at the time of sampling are: light intensity of 251 lux, the pH of 8, the water temperature was 29 °, and the air temperature at 32°C.

Abstract

Assessment for learning (AfL) is considering the results of evaluation to rearrange better learning activities. One of assessments, formative assessment, is an information of development of students achievemnet in the learning activities. In addition, it is very usefull for redesign the next learning strategies to increase students capability, especially for teachers. So that, ability to conduct AfL is necessary for prospective teachers. This research is aimed to describe the approvement and understanding of  prospective teacher to AfL. Survey, by using questionnare, is used in this research. Study objects were 59 students of Pendidikan Biologi Sebelas Maret University who enrolled in fourth semester. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the most of students are realized the functions of assessment in the learning. Arround 67,8% of students stated that study plan can be changed based on the results of formative assessment. Meanwhile, 73,7% of students prefered written examination compared to the oral one and all of students are agree that every evaluation have to performe a feedback. Moreover, they are 69,5% and 74,6% of students decided on written and oral feedback respectively and the oral feedback is given by the teacher or lecturer. Then, all of students agree that feedback has some benefits to rise learning qualities. To conclude, the survey showed that students have approvement and understanding to the functions of AfL, kinds of assessment and feedback, and the subject of feedback. Prospective teacher needs more practice to use AfL and its application to reach the goals of learning.
