Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbasis Scientific Approach terhadap hasil belajar biologi pada ranah kognitif siswa kelas X SMA Negeri  2 Banguntapan T.A 2014/2015, (2) mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbasis Scientific Approach terhadap hasil belajar biologi pada ranah afektif siswa kelas X SMA Negeri  2 Banguntapan T.A 2014/2015, (3) mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbasis Scientific Approach terhadap hasil belajar biologi pada ranah psikomotorik siswa kelas X SMA Negeri  2 Banguntapan T.A 2014/2015. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian quasi experiment (eksperimen semu) dengan design penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Banguntapan. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan simple random sampling, yaitu kelas X3 (kelas eksperimen) dan kelas X4 (kelas kontrol). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, angket, dan observasi. Analisis data hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif menggunakan One Way Anova, sedangkan untuk hasil belajar pada ranah afektif dan psikomotor menggunakan uji Mann Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) model Problem Based Learning berbasis Scientific Approach secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi pada ranah kognitif siswa dengan ditunjukkan p-value sebesar  0,001 < 0,05. (2) model Problem Based Learning berbasis Scientific Approach secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi pada ranah afektif siswa dengan ditunjukkan p-value sebesar 0,029 < 0,05. (3) model Problem Based Learning berbasis Scientific Approach secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi pada ranah psikomotor siswa dengan ditunjukkan p-value sebesar  0,000 < 0,05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur pengembangan modul berorientasi POE berwawasan lingkungan pada materi pencemaran, kelayakan modul, efektivitas modul, dan perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan modul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) yang mengacu pada model Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi. Sampel pengembangan meliputi sampel validasi produk sejumlah 4 validator, sampel uji coba terbatas pada 10 siswa, dan sampel uji coba lapangan sejumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket untuk analisis kebutuhan, validasi ahli, dan tanggapan siswa terhadap modul; lembar observasi untuk hasil belajar psikomotorik, afektif, dan keterlaksanaan sintaks; wawancara untuk analisis kebutuhan, tanggapan siswa terhadap modul saat uji coba terbatas, dan lapangan; dan tes untuk hasil belajar kognitif. Uji coba lapangan menggunakan one group pretest-posttes design. Data hasil belajar kognitif dihitung dengan gain ternormalisasi dan diuji dengan uji t dua sampel berpasangan, sedangkan hasil belajar psikomotorik dan afektif dihitung persentase ketercapaiannya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: pengembangan modul berorientasi POE berwawasan lingkungan pada materi pencemaran menggunakan model Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi melalui tahapan research and information collection, planning, developpreliminary form of products, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, dan operational product revision; kelayakan modul bernilai 3,3 setelah dilakukan uji lapangan dan berkategori “Baik”; pencapaian hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kategori “Sedang”; dan setelah dilakukan uji secara statistik diperoleh perbedaan hasil belajar siswa

Abstract

The aims of this research are to find out: (1 ) the influence of using the OHP media and LKS (Lembar Kerja Siswa/student worksheet) to raise the quality of scientific education (2) the influence using demonstration method and information discussion method to raise the quality of scientific subject education (3) interaction of factor 1 and factor 2 in raising the quality of scientific education.The research used the experiment method with 2X2 factorial design. The researcher collected the data by giving test to the subject. The population of the research was the third grade of senior high school (MTsN) Salatiga, the number of the samples were 80 students (divided into two classes), taken from sub-populations of 268 students (in six classes). The researcher applied random sampling technique. The data was analyzed by using ANOVA at the level of significance (X = 0,05.The results showed that: ( 1 ) there is a significant difference of using the OHP and LKS in rising the quality of scientific subject education (2) there is significant difference of using the demonstration method and information discussion method in rising the quality of scientific subject education (3) there is no interaction between the usage of OHP transparence and LKS with the usage of demonstration and information discussion method to raise the quality of scientific education.

Abstract

The Objectives of the research was to know the effect of cooperative teaching model to increase the comprehension of digestive concept toward the students in the second grade of SLTP Negeri 1 Suruh Kabupaten Semarang.Descriptive qualitative approach was applied in the research with Collaborative Action Research. Questioner and documentary of daily notes and exercises collect the data. To keep the data valid, observations rechecking by other teacher, instructor or the consultant were carried out. Based on the research with was done, it can be conclude that the application of cooperative teaching model have positive effect to the comprehension of digest concept toward the students. The learning motivation and achievement and the mean of score after treatment were better than before

Abstract

ABSTRACT- The research is aimed to know level of inquiry skill of elementary school teacher candidate as this type of skill is considered as appropropriate for achieving science skill processes during teaching and learning processes in scientific knowledge. This research follows the qualitative paradigm. To achieve the research goal, the data was collected upon 30 teacher candidates by using tests, observation, questionnaires, and     interview. The obtained data were descriptively analyzed. The result shows that inquiry skill level of elementary school teacher candidate is regarded as insufficient.

Abstract

The objectives of this research was to improve students written argumentation of the tenth grader of  science  class in a senior high school in Central Java through the aplication of projcet based learning. This research was a classroom action research conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, action, observing and reflecting. The subject of this research was 30 students in science class. The data of this research were obtained from test, observation and documentation. This research was descriptive qualitative research which was analyzed through three components: data reduction, data presentation, and taking the conclusion or verification. This research used a spiral model. The result shows that the aplication of project based learning improved students written argumentation skill, i.e. 22,04% in the pre-cycle, 30,48 in the  first cycle, 25,74% in the second cycle, and 32,01% in the third cycle. It can be said that the implemantation of project based learning can improve students' written argumentation skill in science class.

Abstract

SMPN5 Surakarta has outstanding vision and cultured on faith and Piety.the subjects of biology in this Surakarta SMPN5 not as expected, on his way to the front of learning in general should be improved particularly in the teaching of science including biology science subjects. research that has been conducted on 32 students are 47.5% of students who pay attention to the lessons, 12.5% of students dreamy, sleepy students 7.5%, 12.5% of students do not focus on the subject and only 20% of students participate in learning. lack of student interest in the learning process led to the success of student learning achieved suboptimal anyway. Research conducted in the semester began in July to December 2013, with the implementation of measures in October to November 2013 in SMPN5 Surakarta with the subject viii h grade students who are 32 students. On the first cycle students learn in a large group of 8 students in one group, while in the second cycle students learn in small groups, namely 4 students in one group. Each stage of each cycle consisting of planning actions, implementation of action, observation and reflection action. data using quantitative descriptive analysis by comparing the initial conditions of mastery learning cycle 1 and cycle 2. The results showed a significant increase in interest in learning from the initial condition is active only 8 students to 30 students are active, attentive and happy while learning. learning outcomes of students has increased from baseline to 1 cycle of 21%. cycle 1 to cycle 2 increased 6%. learning outcomes from baseline to 2 cycles increased 29% The results of these studies indicate that through role playing learning model can improve student interest and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisa pengembangan bahan ajar mikrobiologi berbasis inkuiry di IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan model pengembangan 4D dari Thiagarajan (1974). Model 4D memiliki 4 tahapan yaitu define, design, develop, dan dessiminate. Pada penelitian ini hanya terbatas pada tahap develop. analisis data menggunakan statistik Deskriptif untuk menentukan kriteria kelayakan sebuah produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi dari ahli media pembelajaran kategori sangat layak dengan nilai persentase 92,75%, validasi dari ahli materi dengan persentase 89,2% dengan kategori sangat layak dan ahli bahasa dengan persentase 66,6% dengan kategori cukup layak. Dilanjutkan uji keterbacaan oleh mahasiswa dengan nilai persentase 82,2% dengan kategori sangat layak. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa buku ajar mikrobiologi yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk dapat dipergunakan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study of the effect of environment factors on amphibians there is no it in Lombok Island. This study aimed to analyze the environment factors that most contribute to the community structure of amphibians on the island of Lombok. Survey was conducted at 10 locations/points scattered on the island of Lombok. Both data of environment factors and community structure were collected on the square of 5000 m2 at each of the locations in the period from March to July 2016. The environment factors that the analyze including air temperature, water temperature, humidity, altitude, canopy, tree species richness, tilt, river length, width of the river and left-right width of the river to crawl. Amphibian community structure consists of species richness, density, species diversity, species evenness and dominance species. Data were analyzed using principal component analysis (PCA). The results show that environment factors that effect to the factor of the community can be divided into four components, namely component 1 (high effect), component 2 (middle effect), component 3 and component 4 (lower effect). Component 1 consists of humidity, canopy and tree species richness factor. Component 2 consists of air temperature, water temperature and altitude. 3 and 4 consist of a length of the river, the river width, the width of the river and tilt left and right..Key words: environment factors, structure of amphibian community, Lombok Island

Abstract

This research aims to enhance Scientific Writing Skill (SWS) of students on biology through the application of guided inquiry learning with reading assignment. This research was a three cycles Classroom Action Research (CAR). Each cycle consisted of four phases, i.e. planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this research were 30 students of Grade X MIA 7 of SMA N 4 Surakarta, consists of 11 male and 19 female students. Lesson plan of ecosystem were designed for three sub topics, i.e. Component of ecosystem and its interaction; Food chain and food web; and the last sub topic was biogeochemical cycles. The assessment were analyzed using scientific writing skill’s rubric adapted from Toppen (2014), which will measure the ability to develop writing creatively, use spelling and grammar correctly, communicate knowledge which construct and connect science and technology with the real world. The result of this research was guided inquiry learning had effectively increased student’s SWS. The average percentage increased from 38,13 % in pre-cycle to 77,29 % in third cycle, and the skills of students increased about 12.87% after the treatment on each cycle.
