Abstract

The purpose of this research was to got the information about student’s scientific attitude and creativity of product and correlation both of it in enviromental issues through project based learning. This research was conducted from January to June 2015. Sample in this research are 34 students of 2014 grade in FKIP Biologi UR used parameters are (1) scientific attitude with 4 indicators (curiosity, cooperative, carefulness and discipline); (2) creativity of product. Observation instrument managed by reseacher and the realibility values based Alfa Cronbach is 0.70-0.87. The creativity was scored through product (report) by using portofolio instrument, with descriptors are : Initiative (collecting information), inovation (environmental issues that are happening), variation of idea (way of display data), and suitable idea and their solution. The data analyzed is using SPSS. Descriptive statistic are percent, mean, standard deviation and inference statistic (Multiple regretion). Mean values shows us that student’s scientific attitude is 79,99 (good), and the creativity of product is 80,10 (good). Positive correlation among curiosity, cooperation, carefulness and discipline give contribution as 68% to determine the creativity of product. Separately, each aspect of student’s scientific attitude give contribution for creativity of product are : curiosity (60%), carefulness (57%), discipline (48%) and cooperative (47%). The conclusion is student’s scientific attitude and creativity of product is in good category, It mean was there are correlation between student’s scientific attitude and the creativity of product in environmental issues through project based learning in FKIP Biologi UR.

Abstract

Initially trace the genealogy of a taxon is an impossibility, when only few parameters available. Many parameters must be taken into account in data collec­tion. Genealogy of plants is much more complicated than other creatures. One of which that believed to trace the genealogy at the same time ensuring that there is spe- ciation in plants is molecular identification, using either chloroplast genomes, mito­chondrial genomes and nuclear genomes. Until recently molecular analysis options that address to what, and how Indigofeia for the benefit of science.

Abstract

This is a colaborative action research which carried out toward student of SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. The aim of this research was enhancing the self learning motivation by using Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model. The research conducted in 2 cycles, using the criteria of teacher 's performance and student ’s ability toward biological learning The data awas then analized and intepreted to show the improving teacher performance for each cycle.The result showed that the teacher was a good fascilitator (score 2,98 in cycle I and 2,93 in cycle), so it ’s able to enhace the self learning motivation of a student, indicated with the increasing point of the readiness of study, the higly motivated in answer and question interaction, ability in answering the questions, giving opinion, creative, and highly initiative to study. That self learning motivation then gives rise to the average class mark even its equitability thus showed the better teaching and learning proccesses.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to invent the red-algae diversity, its distribution, and the contribution ofphysical environment to to the algae it self and their habitat. Transect method was used with plot area of 1 X 1 m. Study area, 289 m in length, was divided into 3 station with 7 transects and 49 plots. Species diversity, abundance, physical and chemical environmental factors and the pattern of distribution were the focused on.The result showed that 7 species of red-algae were founded, consist of: Corallina sp, Gellidium sp, Laurentia sp, Gigartina sp, Eucheuma sp, Gracilaria sp, and Gymnogongrus sp. The frequency and coverage from the best to the least were as follows: Corallina sp 0,43% and 2,42%; Gellidium sp 0,83% and 19%, Laurentia sp 1% and 10,04%; Gigartina sp 0,83% and 11,8%; Eucheuma sp 1% > and 2,16%; Gracilaria sp 1% > and 9% and Gymnogongrus sp 0,28% and 0,95%. The distribution of each species of red algae was clumped. Physical and chemical environmental factor were driving the distribution of the red- algae. Thus, the habitat was determined on the rocky substrate with some growth orientation toward the sea.

Abstract

ABSTRACT-Yoghurt is one of fermented milk product with the addition of lactic acid microbes such as Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcusthermophillus. The aim of this experiment is determining the characteristics of yogurt made from five different dairy ingredients, each of them are added with a mixture of bacteria Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcusthermophillus. The dairy ingredients used are: fresh cow's milk, skim milk, UHT milk, soy bean milk, and goat's milk. Starter was given with mixing two species of lactic acid bacteria with the ratio 1:1 and the provision of starter concentration is 5% (v / v). The parameters’ have been observed for lactic acid levels, pH and total number of microbes carried out during 14 days of storage. To examine the effect of different kinds of milk and storage time toward the changes in lactic acid level, pH and total number of microbes, we analyzed with ANAVA by two factorial test and if there are any significant effect, it followed by DMRT test. The results obtained from yogurt product quality were yoghurt made from UHT milk was the best quality because it has the lowest average pH of 4,67, the highest lactic acid content of 1,2 % and most stable total microbial 3,05 x108 cells / ml during the preservation time.

Abstract

Pterydophyta epifit merupakan jenis tumbuhan paku- pakuan yang hidup menempel ada tumbuhan lain. Metode survei diaplikasikan pada penelitian ini untuk pemilihan/penentuan lokasi pengambilan sampel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmenganalisis jenis – jenis Pterydophyta epifit yang berlokasi di sekitar kawasan wisata Air Terjun Jumog Karanganyar. Metode yang diaplikasikan pada penelitian ini adalah purpossive sampling melalui penjelajahan lokasi. Penjelajahan dilakukan pada kawasan yang terwakili seluas sekita 0.1 ha. Pada titik tertentu dibuat plot yang berukuran 2 m x 2 m. Jenis tumbuhan paku epifit yang ditemukan di kawasan ini terdiri dari 7 famili dan 11 spesies. Famili Pteridaceae terdiri dari 2 spesies yaitu Pteris multifida dan P. tripartita, Famili Adiantaceae terdiri dari 1 spesies yaitu Adiantum sp., Famili Aspleniaceae terdiri dari 2 spesies yaitu Asplenium nidus dan A. tripartita, Famili Davaliaceae terdiri dari Davalia denticulata, Nephrolepis acutifolia dan N. auriculata..

Abstract

Coastal area around sand dune on the Bocor Beach potentially used as agricultural land especially melon cultivation. It was located at Buluspesantren Subdistric , Kebumen Distric, Central Java. Cultivation techniques in that land were not green cultivation .The use of pesticides, non-organic material, and plant cutting in the area of sand dune have a potential to damage the environment. This event was aimed to introduce the technique of green melon cultivation so that melon cultivation around sand dune can develop and sustainable. The technique of melon cultivation used in this activity was production of melon superior seed and fruit selection. Melodi Gama3 (MG3) was one of the superior seed which used in this activity. Superior seed was able to reduce the use of pesticides and fruit selection can produce fruit in a high quality. Then the group of farmers trained to use local potential as a substitute for a common material used by other farmers. Palm midrib instead of bamboo, pandanus fiber as a rope replacement, and some other potential materials can be used. Cultivation techniques are transfered to farmers group by training and farmers models. The results of economic analysis indicates that the green melon cultivation techniques are able to increase the income of farmers in the area melon around sand dune. After this event, the farmers was expected to develop environmentally welfare farming techniques in the area around sand dune in Bocor Beach.

Abstract

The research aimed to improve student’s questioning ability and communication activness through of  Inquiry model. The research was a Classroom Action Research that performed within 3 cycles used  Inquiry model. The research partisipans were 38students of XI IPA 4 SMA N Karangpandan academic year 2015/2016. The validity of the data used technique of triangulation method. The research used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The  research result showed improvement of students’s quantity question from71 questions in cycle I to 72 questions in cycle II, and 108 questions in cycle III. Student’s question quality improved from C1 to C4 in the kognitif level of thingking. Improvement in each indicator of communication activeness showed 44,08% in listening teacher during class, 43,41% in listening peer presentation during class, 61,84% in answering question asked by teacher or friend, 46,05% in asking question during class, and 63,15% in giving opinion during discussion.The conclusion of the research showed improvement of student’s questioning ability and communication activness through Guided Inquiry model.

Abstract

Successful tissue culture of soursop plants requires proper sterilization techniques and hormone levels to produce good shoot growth. This study aims to determine the effect of sterilization techniques and medium composition of soursop explants, using factorial completely randomized design with 2 factors: sterilizing agents and medium composition, repeated 3 times. Hydrogen Peroxide, Mercury and Sodium Hypoclorite used as sterilizing agents. The medium composition used in this study consisted of 3 levels: MS 0, MS 0.5 ppm BAP + 0.05 ppm NAA and MS 1 ppm BAP + 0.1 ppm NAA. The best treatment is MS medium 0.5 ppm BAP + 0.05 ppm NAA with hydrogen peroxide sterilizing agent which produces the highest propagation level and lowest contamination level.
