Abstract

Covid-19 is a malignant virus that has spread throughout the world, including Indonesia. In Indonesia alone, Covid-19 has proliferated to 502 districts and cities in 34 provinces, including Harjokuncaran Village, Sumbermanjing Wetan District, Malang Regency. Two main issues, community economy problem and inadequacy of health facilities to fight Covid-19, are addressed and mitigated in this work. We offer some solutions, including the production of a disinfectant sprayer and a call to carry out sterilization activities in public places together. The realization of this community service program uses the Dignan method which includes five stages. The initial implementation of this activity, which was carried out on October 5, 2020 has gone smoothly with the help of the community, while the tools that have been fully provided to the residents are used to carry out sterilization activities on a regular basis. Six months after the activity, we evaluated the success of this endeavor. There are three indicators of success in this activity, namely a recapitulation of monthly spraying activities from October 2020 - March 2021, the addition of positive cases of Covid-19, and how much knowledge of residents about the importance of spraying disinfectant activities

Abstract

Through the implementation of the Aswaja learning model in schools, this community service aims to develop Muslims with religious-nationalist personalities.It was carried out in three phases of activities, namely education & outreach, implementation & strengthening and intensive mentoring from March to May 2021 at SMP Darul Faqih Indonesia, Malang Regency. The results of the activity assessment showed a change in Aswaja's attitudes and practices in fostering religious-nationalist values in students. This also has implications for strengthening religious moderation in the school environment. The results of the correlation test of students' attitudes and practices showed a score (R-square: P-value) of 0.126: 0.000, which indicates that this activity has a significant impact. The implementation of the Aswaja learning model is aimed at providing a balanced understanding of religion and nationalism. Strengthening the understanding of religious moderation with a nationalism - religious spirit will be an important ingredient in the development of peace culture education-based schools in Indonesia

Abstract

The productive unemployment rate in Central Java is quite high, of which 13.5% are vocational graduates. Entrepreneurship can be a solution to reduce productive unemployment. However, to run entrepreneurship requires strong interest and motivation. This community service is carried out to increase the entrepreneurial spirit of students at SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta. The implementation stages include analysis of partner problems, data collection, presentation and training, filling out post-socialization questionnaires, and evaluating the results of the implementation. Tips and tricks, challenges and obstacles, the importance of motivation in entrepreneurship are the main material presented in the presentation. In the training, students make business plans based on their individual choices. The percentage of consideration in the business field choosing is dominated by the suitability of majors in SMK (about 40%) and the trend that is developing (20%). While, the reasons for the suitability of hobbies, family background and others are 18%, 14%, and 8%, respectively. The students' understanding and interest in entrepreneurship increased significantly. This increase can be seen from the change in the percentage of students' plans after graduation. The number of students who wish to work in agencies or companies is around 70% (before socialization) and about 30% (after socialization). The number of students interested in entrepreneurship increased from 15% to 68%. These results show that the students' interest has shifted from "becoming an employee" to "becoming an entrepreneur".

Abstract

Cottok Innovation Park (CIP) is a tourist area that develops technology-based educational tourism. CIP is located on a broad hill. This area was in a barren state when the first service activities were carried out at the beginning of development in 2017. The PLN electricity network is also not yet available because it is far from residential areas. Solar-based technology has been applied and developed sustainably at CIP as an effort to be self-sufficient in electrical energy to provide water and lighting. Water is obtained by a solar pump from a groundwater source at a depth of 40 m. Currently, CIP has grown rapidly and provides night tours. The latest community service activities results are off-grid PLTS-based road signs and the CIP icon lamp to support night tourism. A further effect of this sustainable community service activity is the motivation and confidence of village youth to be involved in village development programs as tourist areas and children's education. It has also impacted the decline in the number of poor people in the village of Curah Cottok.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan perubahan kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat Indonesia. Sekitar 40% pekerja atau pelaku usaha mengalami perubahan pendapatan. Hal ini sedikit banyak mempengaruhi kemampuan masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pangan keluarga. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan pekarangan dan limbah rumah tangga untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan keluarga melalui budidaya lele. Pelaksanaan program dibagi ke dalam tiga tahap, yaitu pelatihan warga, pendampingan, dan evaluasi.Pelatihan warga meliputi pelatihan budidaya lele dan kangkung secara hidroponik menggunakan pot dan pelatihan pembuatan pakan lele dari limbah rumah tangga. Pendampingan dilakukan secara berkala setiap minggu hingga lele bisa dipanen. Evaluasi dilakukan di akhir kegiatan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dan potensi teknologi untuk dikomersilkan. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan bahwa budidaya lele dan kangkung menggunakan pot dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan keluarga dengan harga yang murah. Desain teknologi kolam portabel dari pot ini juga berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai industri rumah tangga. Pakan lele dari limbah rumah tangga mampu menekan biaya pakan dalam budidaya lele hingga 20% dengan nilai rasio konversi pakan (FCR) sebesar 1.11 atau efisiens pakan hingga  90%. Pakan lele ini membantu pengurangan sampah sisa makanan dan sampah dapur hingga 100%.

Abstract

During distance learning (PJJ), teachers have difficulty developing creativity regarding the online learning process, especially when compiling learning media. Service activities were carried out by the Eduscape Group Research team from the Sebelas Maret University FKIP together with the Sociology MGMP of Karanganyar Regency as an effort to optimize online learning. The learning media provided by Google for Education, especially Google Slides, was chosen to be the main target for the preparation of virtual classes because it has flexibility, ease of use, and is easily accessible by both teachers and students. The method of implementing service activities is carried out in the meeting room of SMA Negeri Karangpandan, Karanganyar Regency, face to face with stringent health protocols. Service activities consist of material presentation, demonstration, mentoring and collection of virtual class results. The result of this activity is that teachers can compose and use and create learning media through various online platforms (google slides, online quizzes, pdf converters, exploration of material content on youtube) to prepare virtual classes.

Abstract

Human development in the field of education is very important because it relates to the quality of human life in other fields, one of which is on the social aspects, especially those related to children. The condition that occurs in children today is the high use and negative exposure of mass media, especially from the use of television and the internet. The high use of this media is not accompanied by adequate skills in children regarding access and ability to analyze the content of media messages so that negative impacts of use appear, including social conflicts between children in their environment. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the ability to access, analyze, evaluate and communicate messages in various forms of communication and information media for the prevention of social conflict in children. The method of carrying out activities using lecture, demonstration, and discussion methods. The subject of the activity is elementary school age children in Panembong Village, Bayongbong District, Garut Regency. The implementation process is carried out with the assessment stage, the implementation stage, and the assessment stage as well as the evaluation stage. The results of this activity illustrate the existence of better knowledge and understanding of elementary school age children in accessing, analyzing, evaluating and communicating messages in various forms of communication and information media, especially to prevent social conflict between peers.

Abstract

Salak merupakan ikon Kabupaten Bangkalan. Untuk mempromosikan buah salak sebagai potensi lokal daerah, kami mengadakan pelatihan pengolahan buah salak untuk para ibu rumah tangga muda agar mereka memiliki keterampilan dan mampu untuk membuka usaha olahan buah salak. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yaitu: 1) Tahap sosialisasi kepada masyarakat; 2) Tahap perolehan bahan dan alat; 3) Tahap pelatihan; 4) Tahap pendampingan serta 5) Tahap evaluasi program. Hasil yang telah dicapai sesuai dengan luaran yang ditargetkan yaitu peningkatan keterampilan pengolahan buah salak pada kelompok sasaran. Produk olahan yang dihasilkan berupa donat salak, es krim salak, brownies salak, dan kaligrafi dari kulit salak. Potensi keberlanjutan dari kegiatan ini adalah terbentuknya sentra usaha produk olahan buah salak Bangkalan sehingga bisa menjadi oleh-oleh khas Bangkalan yang diminati wisatawan

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa pelatihan teknologi budidaya tanaman bunga matahari di kelompok tani Desa Bokor. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknologi budidaya tanaman bunga matahari di kelompok tani, dan memberikan pemahaman dan meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat untuk membudidayakan tanaman bunga matahari. Program tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh rencana desa untuk mengembangkan desa ke arah desa wisata. Keberadaan bunga matahari dapat menambah daya tarik dan nilai estetika lingkungan, sehingga dapat menarik wisatawan untuk berkunjung ke desa. Hal ini secara tidak langsung dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan menciptakan lapangan kerja baru. Kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli - November 2020 di Desa Bokor Kabupaten Malang. Metode pelaksanaan adalah metode Training of  Trainer (TOT). Tahapan metode pengabdian yang dilakukan meliputi perencanaan, persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Tim pengabdian masyarakat melakukan  monitoring secara daring dan luring/langsung turun ke lapangan, untuk melihat langsung kondisi tanaman dan berkomunikasi sekaligus berdiskusi dengan perwakilan petani. Di akhir kegiatan pengabdian, tim pengabdian juga melakukan pemberian bantuan benih tanaman bunga matahari yang bermutu tinggi. Hasil program pengabdian yaitu telah meningkatnya keterampilan teknologi budidaya tanaman bunga matahari di kelompok tani Desa Bokor, pemahaman dan partisipasi masyarakat untuk membudidayakan tanaman bunga matahari juga meningkat

Abstract

Asam sunti merupakan bumbu masakan khas Aceh terbuat dari belimbing wuluh yang diasinkan, difermentasi dan dikeringkan sehingga dapat disimpan dalam jangka waktu 1-1,5 tahun. Namun, proses yang digunakan untuk mengolah belimbing wuluh segar menjadi asam sunti berbeda-beda, tergantung pada kebiasaan masyarakat setempat atau permintaan konsumen. Hal ini menyebabkan kualitas produk sangat bervariasi dan tidak memenuhi standar mutu. Pada kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM), pendampingan langsung terhadap satu usaha rumah tangga di Desa Alue Jeureujak, Kecamatan, Babahrot, Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya, Provinsi Aceh. Tujuan dilakukannya PkM ini adalah untuk memperbaiki proses pembuatan dan kemasan sehingga mutu produk yang dihasilkan tetap terjaga dan harga jual dapat ditingkatkan. Kegiatan PkM yang berlangsung selama 3 bulan dengan pendampingan secara langsung di lokasi selama 1 bulan terdiri dari beberapa kegiatan yaitu: peninjauan rumah produksi, perbaikan proses pembuatan asam sunti, perbaikan kemasan produk asam sunti, dan perhitungan harga jual produk asam sunti. Kemasan yang sebelumnya hanya menggunakan kantong plastik tanpa label, saat ini produk asam sunti telah dijual dengan kemasan standing pouch berlabel. Setelah satu bulan pendampingan, pendapatan usaha meningkat dari Rp 334.000, menjadi Rp 436.000, dengan skala penjualan yang sebelumnya tidak terukur menjadi 80 pak ukuran 250 gr dalam satu bulan.
