Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini dilakukan pada 19 siswa kelas VIII di MTs Al-Mabrur Bone Raya selama dua siklus, mengikuti tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data diperoleh melalui observasi guru dan siswa serta tes hasil belajar. Pada siklus I, observasi menunjukkan kriteria cukup baik, dengan ketuntasan hasil belajar 63,2%—12 dari 19 siswa mencapai nilai di atas kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Karena indikator keberhasilan belum tercapai, penelitian dilanjutkan ke siklus II dengan perbaikan pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasilnya, observasi terhadap guru dan siswa meningkat ke kriteria baik, dan ketuntasan hasil belajar mencapai 84,2%—16 dari 19 siswa berhasil mencapai atau melebihi KKM. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan model PBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan, keefektifan dan kepraktisan dari pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Interaktif dengan Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Brain Based Learning untuk meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep matematis Siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian R&D. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain 4D yang terdiri atas 4 tahapan pengembangan yaitu Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. Subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah Siswa kelas VII1 di SMP Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan, tepatnya dikelas VIII-7 sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan validatitas dari pengembangan Media Pembelajaran dari ketiga dosen ahli sebagai validator yang menilai dari aspek media, materi, dan bahasa yang kemudian dilakukan uji coba produk dengan melihat respon penggunaan produk dan hasil tes siswa berdasarkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah hasil validasi dari ketiga validator memperoleh skor sebesar 93,29 dengan kategori "sangat valid" sedangkan efektivitas penggunaan modul diperoleh dari hasil analisis data tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 86,7% dan kepraktisan produk diperoleh dari respon positif siswa yang dibuktikan dari pengisian angket dengan perolehan nilai sebesar 93,37 atau berada pada kategori “sangat praktis”. Artinya, pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Interaktif dengan Menggunakan Model Brain Based Learning disimpulkan valid, efektif dan praktis dalam membangun kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa VIII SMP negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk Electronic-LKPD (E-LKPD) berbasis wizer.me yang valid, praktis, dan efektif sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D yang mencakup tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Produk ini diuji cobakan kepada 30 peserta didik kelas XI-3 SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi lembar validasi ahli, angket respon peserta didik, dan instrumen tes kemampuan penalaran matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) E-LKPD tergolong sangat valid dengan persentase 84,34%, ditinjau dari kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, tata letak, dan kesesuaian tujuan pembelajaran; (2) E-LKPD berbasis wizer.me sangat praktis dengan persentase kepraktisan 86,2% berdasarkan respon peserta didik. Dengan demikian, E-LKPD berbasis wizer.me yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis sehingga layak digunakan sebagai media ajar dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Scratch-based mathematics learning media on the topic of rings (Gelanggang) to enhance the learning motivation of students at the Institute of Education Tapanuli Selatan. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model, which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The research subjects were two fourth-semester students from the mathematics education program at the Institute of Education Tapanuli Selatan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The validity of the media was evaluated by experts in content, media, and language, while practicality and effectiveness were assessed using student response questionnaires and learning outcome tests. The validation results indicated that the Scratch-based mathematics learning media was in the "Highly Valid" category, with an average validation score of 94%. The practicality test showed that the media was categorized as "Highly Practical," and the effectiveness test revealed a significant increase in students' learning motivation. Therefore, the developed Scratch-based mathematics learning media is effective in enhancing learning motivation and can be used as an innovative alternative learning medium in higher education environments.

Abstract

This study aims to create and test the quality of a math e-module that incorporates ethnomathematics to improve students' mathematical literacy. This is a development study that follows the ADDIE development model, which includes five stages: analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research involved 25 students. The findings showed that the experts rated the e-module at an average score of 80.2%, which is considered valid. The e-module was also found to be very practical based on the student questionnaire score of 89.72%. Its effectiveness was proven with 100% of students achieving over 85% in the mathematical literacy test. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed ethnomathematics-based math e-module for the topic of systems of linear equations in two variables is suitable to be used as a learning material.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies of fourth grade elementary school students in solving math story problems and their inhibiting factors. The approach used was qualitative with ethnographic methods, conducted at SD 3 Wergu Wetan, Kudus. Participants consisted of fourth grade teachers and 10 students who were selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation in the classroom, and document analysis in the form of student work. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was maintained through triangulation of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that students used strategies such as repeated reading, identifying information, drawing, and working with friends. Barriers found included low reading ability, lack of understanding of basic mathematical concepts, as well as the post-pandemic impact on learning behavior. Teachers observed students' difficulties in understanding the problems and realized the importance of improving reading skills and math concepts. Teachers' efforts include reinforcement of basic math, repetition of material, interesting approaches, and peer tutors. This study emphasizes the importance of reading skills, mastery of basic mathematics concepts, and adaptive learning strategies to improve students' ability in mathematics story problems.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Picture Puzzle on the Pythagorean theorem material in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Satap Tibawa. The subjects in this study were all students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Satap Tibawa totaling 18 students, namely 6 male students and 12 female students. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is divided into several stages, namely, the preparation stage, the implementation stage, the monitoring and evaluation stage, the analysis and reflection stage. The observation data in cycle I on teacher and student activities only achieved an average assessment of quite good and this has not met the completion criteria, namely at least good or very good, and the level of completion of student learning outcomes in cycle I who reached the KKM value was only 7 people or 38.89% while there were 11 students who had not completed it or classically 61.11%. Because the indicator of success in completing the student learning test has not been achieved, namely at least 75%, the research was continued to cycle II. In cycle II, the results of observations of teacher and student activities have reached an average assessment of very good, this shows that teacher and student activities have met the completion criteria, namely at least good or very good, and for student learning outcomes there are 15 students who have achieved the KKM score or classically 83.33%. From this statement, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Picture Puzzle is able to improve student learning outcomes. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate whether the use of interactive learning multimedia Artiulate Storyline can improve mathematics learning outcomes in the Pythagorean Theorem material. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Kwandang in the 2024-2025 academic year. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in only 1 cycle. The subjects in the study were 25 grade VIII students. Data collection techniques involved observation and testing, with research instruments in the form of teacher observation sheets, student activity observation sheets and essay test questions. The results of the study showed that the results of teacher observations for the category were at least good or very good with a percentage and in student activities, the observation criteria were divided into 4 aspects of observation with an average percentage, namely (1) student readiness in receiving material 91%, (2) student participation in learning 89%, (3) student cooperation in learning 91%, and (4) student activities in closing learning 92%. Meanwhile, for the learning outcomes of students who obtained scores reaching the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) with completion of 23 students with a percentage of 88% and incomplete around 3 students with a percentage of 12%. The average mathematics learning outcomes of students on the Pythagorean theorem material meet the success indicators.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of a link between cultural elements that can represent mathematical objects as an alternative learning media in mathematics material. Indonesia has a variety of cultural heritages, one of which is Keris. This culture can be used to explore mathematical concepts to bring mathematics closer to cultural elements; it can also be used in the context of school learning. The main objective of this study is to examine the concept of geometric transformation contained in the Keris motif, the Keris, which is the main object in this study, namely "Keris Kyai Tengara". This research is included in qualitative research using an ethnographic approach. This study's data collection process was done through observation, documentation and interviews with Kris's caretakers and mathematicians. The results of this study indicate that the motifs in the kyai tengara kris apply the concept of geometry transformation. The idea of translation is found in the blue fan motif, the concept of reflection is found in the pattern of animal motifs on the kris frame, and the idea of dilation is found in the pattern of elephant wings on the kris.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Think-Pair-Share (TPS) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kemandirian belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Mauliru pada materi bentuk aljabar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experiment tipe pretest-posttest control group. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model TPS dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 40,48% sebelum perlakuan menjadi 73,66% setelah perlakuan,Sementara itu, kemandirian belajar siswa meningkat dari 68,01% menjadi 72,332%,. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol signifikan dengan nilai signifikansi < 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran TPS efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran, baik dalam hal pemahaman konsep maupun kemandirian belajar. Oleh karena itu, model TPS direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran aktif dalam pembelajaran matematika.
