Abstract

In the field of education, teachers face latent problems related to economic welfare, so the government is trying to provide a teacher certification program. In an effort to increase teacher engagement in teaching students at the Islamic primary education level, this research will examine teacher certification. This type of research combines literature study methodology with a qualitative approach. Scientific literature which includes books, papers, seminars, and final assignments (thesis, thesis, dissertation) serves as a source of information and material for research analysis. This information comes from reliable sources such as Sinta and Google Scholar. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of teacher certification is expected to improve teachers' competencies so as to improve educational standards. The four components of competence are; Pedagogical, character, professional, and social mentioned in the government regulation on national education standards (article 28) and the law on teachers and lecturers (article 10).

Abstract

Classroom action research was carried out because there were problems that occurred at SD N 1 Banjarsari Kulon. These problems include the low learning outcomes of class IV students and the use of inappropriate learning models. The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes through the Teams games tournament learning model. The technique used to obtain data quantitatively is through learning outcomes in the form of evaluation scores given at the end of the lesson. Apart from that, data collection was also carried out by means of observation and interviews. Observations were carried out during the learning process in the form of observing student and teacher activities, while interviews were conducted with the teacher and 3 class IV students. The results of this study showed an increase of 70% in cycle I and 87% in cycle II. This Tgt learning model has a positive influence on student learning outcomes seen from the assessment results obtained in cycles I and II. The number of students who got good grades also increased, from 21 students who completed the first cycle to 26 students in the second cycle. Thus it can be concluded that the TGT learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of class IV SD N 1 Banjarsari Kulon.

Abstract

Awareness of the importance of school is a challenge for the present generation. Knowledge of the benefits of school is one thing that every student should know. Therefore, this research aims to develop animated videos of school benefits to enhance the knowledge of students about school benefits. At the stage of video design this animation was made using the renderforest website continued with the addition of audio using the capcut application. The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development) with its development model ADDIE, data collection technique of media expert validation test and student response test. An animated video that has been developed by the researchers tested practiced at the Elementary School. The result of this study is that the animated video was declared “valid” based on an average rating with a presentation of 85.3% with the criterion “very qualified”, after the validity test was subsequently tested practiced in three categories namely the individual test with the presentation of 94% with the highly qualified criteria, the small group trial with the Presentation of 93.44% with the very qualified Criterion, the large group trials with the presentation of 90.15% with very qualifying criteria. Based on practical tests that have been conducted, these animated videos will be more effective if used by students individually than in groups. The results of the research showed that the development of this animated video is very worthy to be applied in the process of improving the education of students.

Abstract

In the Syllabus for class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli, the MCC, especially for class VIII, is 70, which students must achieve in order to be successful in English lessons. The aims of this research are 1) To analyze students' speaking abilities through storytelling and 2) To analyze the factors that influence students' speaking abilities through storytelling. Therefore, this research was conducted to find out the answer. Furthermore, the research informants were 15 students in class VIII-A UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli. After analyzing student tests and interviews, the researchers concluded that class VIII-A students at UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli had level 3+ (good level) with the highest percentage of ability (89.6%) in this field. speak through telling personal experiences. The percentage levels are followed by level 3 (36.6%), level 4 (36.6) and level 2+ (12.6). Apart from that, research findings also reveal that factors that influence students' ability to speak through personal experience of telling stories are the frequency of practice and repetition of topics, the type of speaking material and teaching and learning methods/approaches. Finally, the researcher wrote several suggestions: For English teachers, it is important to improve the way they teach English, especially in conveying speaking material to students. The frequency of practice must be increased, various topics such as storytelling, especially about personal experiences, the use of English needs to be given to students in every material studied so that they can train students' self-confidence, students' obstacles in speaking practice can be overcome one by one. As future researchers, it is hoped that they will be able to conduct better research on this research topic in the future.

Abstract

Writing is a process of extracting and conveying the meanings in one's head into words on a piece of paper. The Syllabus of SMP Negeri 3 Sirombu expects students to be able to write several texts and one of them is descriptive text. The aim of the research is to describe students' abilities and the factors that influence them. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data analysis was carried out by following Gay et al's steps, namely reading/memoing, describing what happened in the setting, and classifying research data. Furthermore, the informants for this research were 18 class VII students at SMP Negeri 3 Sirombu. Data was collected through student worksheets and interviews with students and English teachers. After analyzing students' descriptive texts, the results showed that 7 students (38.8%) were able to write descriptive texts, and only 11 students (61.1%) were unable to write descriptive texts. After analyzing the students' answers on the interview sheets, the results showed that many different factors influenced their writing. In conclusion, most of the VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Sirombu were able to write descriptive texts with aspects of good writing based on several main factors, namely their background knowledge about the topic, their level of understanding of descriptive texts, their learning.

Abstract

Worship has the primary purpose of devotion to Allah and simplicity in intention towards Him, whether in times of joy or hardship, with the hope of attaining happiness in the Hereafter. One example is prayer. Additionally, worship aims to distance oneself from wrongdoing and evil deeds and can achieve other objectives through the performance of prayer. The aim of this research is to identify issues in the implementation of congregational Asr prayer in an effort to enhance the quality of Asr prayer worship and to find solutions to these issues at SMP Muhammadiyah Kota Pagar Alam. This study uses a qualitative method with a purposive sampling technique, and data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the issues in the implementation of congregational Asr prayer in improving the quality of worship include various excuses, negligence in bringing prayer garments, inadequate facilities, lack of discipline in maintaining prayer, insufficient cooperation with parents, and lack of concentration in performing congregational prayer.

Abstract

In this study, researchers conducted environmental observations at SD Negeri 070985 Onowaembo school, Gunungsitoli District, to obtain information data on the extent of efforts to prevent sexual harassment carried out by teachers and school management. In this study, conducting qualitative methods by conducting interviews with informants. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts made by the school management in preventing sexual harassment as well as the school's attitude and responsibility for harassment of students at SD Negeri 070985 Onowaembo Kota Gunungsitoli. The results of the study, researchers found that there are rules and regulations involving the prohibition of sexual harassment, security supervision, ensuring the safety and comfort of students, as well as cooperation between school committees and parents for child supervision and protection, increasing religious values through monthly worship activities, cooperation with the Child Protection Commission for education on children's rights, understanding child protection rights through learning curricula, implementation of extracurricular activities such as art and discussion, as well as facilitation of sanitation according to gender. Firm policies and rules, support for all parties and supervision for students as well as teacher involvement, supervision and security control during school activities.

Abstract

The performance of teachers plays a vital role in shaping the standards of education and the prospects of future generations. This research reveals a comprehensive analysis of the impact of School Principal leadership and teacher competence on teacher performance through teacher motivation in Kindergarten schools in the Cilengkrang Sub-District, Bandung Regency. The research methodology involves both descriptive and inferential methods, with 46 teachers participating as samples. Data were analyzed using Smart PLS4 software with path analysis. The main findings indicate that School Principal leadership significantly influences teacher performance, while teacher competence does not have a significant effect on teacher performance. Additionally, there is no significant influence between School Principal leadership and teacher competence on teacher motivation, as well as teacher motivation on teacher performance. Teacher motivation also does not act as a mediator between School Principal leadership and teacher competence on teacher performance. Furthermore, School Principal leadership, teacher competence, and teacher motivation collectively have a significant impact on teacher performance. The implications of these findings can assist in improving educational management and empowering teachers in early childhood education environments.

Abstract

In the current era of 21st century learning, there are many changes in the context of educational innovation determined by the government. The principal as (educational leadership) has the responsibility to design plans aimed at strengthening the implementation of the four teacher competencies, namely pedagogical, personal, social and professional competencies. Because there is a tendency for teacher performance to decline in the face of contextual and curricular changes. The integration of academic supervision becomes relevant as a strategy to support this performance improvement through providing constructive feedback and focused professional development. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive analytical approach, with data collection methods analyzing scientific literature sources that are relevant to the research study. The results of this research show that the principal as an educational leader is someone who plays a big role in improving teacher performance, one of which is academic supervision, which can be a solution for developing teacher performance in the 21st century learning era. Teacher performance in the 21st century learning era requires adjustments to the development of their performance as educational staff. The role of the principal through academic supervision is that it is important to carry out his educational leadership role proactively through academic supervision, the principal can be an agent of change that ensures quality teacher performance in the 21st century learning era. Through the integration of various academic supervision approaches, both individual and group, and careful attention to aspects of planning, implementation and evaluation, school principals can create a learning environment that supports and encourages teacher professional growth. Thus, academic supervision becomes an effective tool for improving teacher performance in the 21st century learning era. Then, effective academic supervision allows teachers to continue to adapt to developments, maintain the relevance of education, and have a positive impact on student learning in the 21st century era.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to enhance the ability of prospective educators to develop a comprehensive understanding of students with hearing impairments. This study investigates the incorporation of Pancasila principles into a project-based learning framework to meet the educational needs of these students. This study highlights the necessity of providing essential skills and knowledge to prospective teachers to create a conducive classroom environment for students with hearing impairments. This study proposes a unique method to understand and assist students with hearing impairments by integrating Pancasila values into project-based learning. The methodology employed is a mixed methods study to assess the efficacy of this educational approach in enhancing the skills of prospective teachers and the academic achievements of students. The expected outcome is a compilation of principles and tactics that can be utilized by educators to gain a deeper understanding and help children with hearing impairments, thereby fostering collaborative and capacity-building in education.
