Abstract

The ability to recognize geometric shapes in TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru is still not as expected, therefore a treatment is needed to improve children's ability to recognize geometric shapes using gamification-based e-books. The purpose of this study was to determine and prove the effect of gamification-based e-books on the ability to recognize geometric shapes in children aged 5-6 years at TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru. The type of research used is a quantitative experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were children in class B4 of TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru aged 5-6 years totaling 20 people. The sample of this study was 20 people. The sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling. The data collection technique used by researchers is primary data through observation sheets. Data analysis using t-test. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to recognize geometric shapes seen from the average acquisition score before and after treatment. The results of data analysis obtained t count 27.264 greater than t table 2.093 from this study can be concluded that gamification-based e-books affect the ability to recognize geometric shapes in children aged 5-6 years at State Kindergarten Pembina 3 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' critical thinking abilities, science and technology learning content for class IV Kartika Private Elementary School 1-2 in the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used is an experimental method with a quantitative research type. To obtain the data required a test instrument of 30 questions. The total research sample was 34 students based on purposive sampling technique. To determine students' initial abilities, the research conducted a Pre Test with an average score of 52.55 which was in the poor category. The results of the Post Test have improved from the Pre Test results given previously with the students' average score reaching 75.52 in the good category. It can be said that the level of success in students' critical thinking has increased as evidenced by the results of the correlation coefficient test calculation, which obtained r_count ≥ r_tabel with results of 0.610 ≥ 0.339. Next, hypothesis testing is comparing the t_count≥ t_table values. The obtained value of t_count = 4.357 while t_table = 1.690. Because t_count ≤ t_table (4.357 ≥ 1.690) then H_a is accepted and H_o is rejected. Through the t-test, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive influence between the problem based learning model on students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to see the level of physical condition of taekwondo athletes at the speed kick dojang in Pekanbaru City. Based on the results of observations of taekwondo athletes at the speed kick dojang in Pekanbaru City, several problems were found, including the unknown physical condition of the taekwondo athletes at the speed kick dojang in the taekwondo sport, in training that was held three times a week, the physical training portion was not enough to improve physical condition and In the competition, the quality of the athlete's physical condition when they are on the field is seen to decrease greatly, causing the quality of the athlete's competition to be less than satisfactory. The tests used in this research using taekwondo physical condition tests include fitness muscle strength (leg dynamometer), speed test (30 meter sprint), leg dynamometer test, squat jump test, vertical jump test, 50 meter sprint test, sitting test and reach and test run 15 minutes. The sample in this study was 17 taekwondo athletes at the speed kick dojang in Pekanbaru City. From the results of tests carried out in the field, results were obtained in the "Fair" category and were proven by an average value of 6.22 or in the interval 6.0 – 7.9.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the video-based Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) learning models on class IV students science learning outcomes UPTD SDN 122358 Siantar Martoba 2023/2024. The research method used is an experimental method with a quantitative research type. To obtain the data required a test instrument of 25 questions. The total research sample was 30 students based on purposive sampling technique. To determine students' initial abilities, the research conducted a Pre Test with an average score of 50.13 which was included in the poor category. The results of the Post Test have improved from the Pre Test results given previously with the students' average score reaching 79.47 in the good category. It can be said that the level of success in student learning outcomes has increased as evidenced by the results of the correlation coefficient test calculation, the results obtained were r_count ≥ r_tabel with results of 0.819 ≥ 0.361. Next, hypothesis testing compares the t_count ≥ t_table value. The obtained value of t_count = 7.552 while t_table = 2.048. Because t_count ≥ t_table (7.552 ≥ 2.048) then H_a is accepted and H_o is rejected. Abstract

Liquid waste generated from hospital activities since the Covid-19 pandemic has increased in quantity and contains microorganisms, especially the Corona virus, toxic substances, blood, body fluids sourced from Covid-19 isolation patient activities, treatment rooms, laboratory rooms, equipment and linen washing rooms. Hospital X is one of the Type C Hospitals in Kupang City that handles Covid-19 patients with liquid waste sources originating from the Emergency Room, Hospitalization, Operating Room, ICU Room, Laboratory, Radiology Room, Pharmacy Room, Kitchen, Office, and Laundry. To treat liquid waste generated from each unit, Hospital X uses a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with a physical and biological treatment process and uses a closed piping system with gravity flow and pumping. Based on the results of the examination of physical parameters (temperature and pH), chemical parameters (BOD5, COD, TSS, NH3 Total, Oil and Fat, and MBAS), and microbiological parameters (Total coliform) have met the environmental quality standards in accordance with Permen LHK 68/2016 and Permen LHK 05/2014. The liquid waste treatment process at Hospital X is in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 1204 / MENKES / SK / X / 2004, namely the hospital has carried out its own liquid waste treatment using a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP).

Abstract

Teachers often do not apply learning strategies that suit students' learning styles. This is very important, especially in learning Arts, Culture and Crafts (SBdP). This research aims to analyze the relationship between learning styles in SBdP class IV SDN Buara 02. This research focuses on the role of teachers in SBdP learning, student obstacles and teacher solutions so that learning runs well. Researchers used qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are that teachers play a very active role in learning activities with students and teachers also pay attention to the learning styles of students and implement the three visual auditory kinesthetic learning styles in one learning time. The teacher's role is very important in SBdP learning. The teacher is not only the main source so that learning runs smoothly, but also acts as a facilitator who meets all the needs of students during learning activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil observasi dan wawancara di SD Negeri 1 Kemutug Lor dengan hasil belum adanya media pembelajaran PJOK untuk menanamkan karakter sosial siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran PJOK berbasis kearifan local dalam pengembangan sosial emosional anak, untuk mengetahui respon guru dan siswa, serta untuk mengukur efektivitas media yang telah dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik tes yaitu pretest dan posttest, dan Teknik nontes yaitu wawancara, rating scale dan angket. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan media pembelajaran Engklek Ceria pada pembelajaran PJOK untuk menanamkan karakter sosial peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Kemutug Lor menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut, (1) media Engklek Ceria dikatakan sangat valid dengan memperoleh presentase sebesar 84% oleh ahli media dan presentase sebesar 100% oleh ahli materi. Sedangkan oleh ahli bahasa memperoleh presentase sebesar 80% yang dinyatakan valid. (2) media Engklek Ceria dikatakan sangat praktis dengan memperoleh presentase sebesar 92% dari angket respon guru dan 100% dari angket respon siswa. (3) Tingkat efektivitas media dikatakan sedang setelah diuji coba kepada 28 siswa dengan memberikan pretest dan posttest dengan hasil N-Gain sebesar 0,48. Abstract

Quality education depends not only on the physical infrastructure of the school, but also on the competence and dedication of the teachers. Professionalism and discipline are the main elements that can improve the quality of education and teacher performance. This research is to analyse the influence of professionalism and discipline on teacher performance at the Tahsinul Akhlaq Bahrul Ulum Foundation, Surabaya. Teacher performance is a central factor in educational dynamics. Teacher professionalism directly influences the quality of teaching. Teachers' discipline determines their ability to carry out their duties and responsibilities efficiently. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey research design. The population involved all teachers at the Tahsinul Akhlaq Bahrul Ulum Surabaya Foundation, with census sampling of 60 teachers. The instrument used is a questionnaire that measures the level of professionalism, discipline and teacher performance. The research results show that the level of professionalism of teachers at the Tahsinul Akhlaq Bahrul Ulum Surabaya Foundation has a positive and significant influence on their performance. Teachers who have competence, dedication and professional skills tend to make a positive contribution to achieving educational goals. Apart from that, teacher discipline also has a positive and significant impact on their performance. Teachers who are disciplined in carrying out their duties, obey the rules, and show commitment to their work, tend to achieve better results in educating and guiding students.

Abstract

This research examines teacher professionalism in mobile phone usage during teaching at SDN 1 Sumampir. This case study aims to identify patterns of mobile phone use by teachers during the learning process, its impact on teaching quality, and perceptions of students and colleagues. Data collection methods include classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and surveys. The results show variations in mobile phone use by teachers, ranging from educational purposes to personal use. This study also reveals the importance of clear school policies regarding mobile phone use in the classroom to maintain teacher professionalism and learning effectiveness.

Abstract

Communication between parents and children can be seen as an effort to find out, monitor and direct the development of children, because no matter how mature children are, they still really need someone who is considered more mature so that they can protect them properly. By creating effective and efficient communication between parents-children or vice versa, it is hoped that children can develop well physically and psychologically. This study aims to determine how much influence parent-child communication has on children's behavior. This research method that the author uses is Descriptive Analysis method. While the approach used in this study is correlational, namely to seek the influence between the two variables. The sampling technique in this study used random sampling. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between parental communication and the behavior of students in class VIII A and C at SMPN 13 Bogor. This can be seen from the magnitude of the calculation results obtained with a value of rxy = 0.59 which lies in the category between 0.40-0.70 which means the correlation is sufficient. And this is shown at the 1% significance level rxy or ro is greater than the r table (0.59>0.325), so at this level the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, this means that at the 1% and 5% significance levels there is a positive correlation between the X and Y variables.
