Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji kontribusi nilai-nilai islami dalam membentuk kesadaran ekologis melalui integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual dalam etika ekologis. Dengan fokus pada hubungan manusia-alam, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dimensi spiritualitas yang dapat mempengaruhi perilaku ekologis dalam berbagai konteks. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa spiritualitas, melalui ajaran agama dan filosofi kehidupan, dapat mempromosikan kesadaran untuk menjaga keberlanjutan lingkungan dan melestarikan alam sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab moral. Temuan utama penelitian ini meliputi pentingnya pembentukan hubungan simbiotik antara manusia dan alam, impelentasi prinsip-prinsip spiritual dalam pengelolaan sumber kekayaan alam, serta pengembangan model etika ekologis berbasis spiritualitas. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memberikan pemahaman baru tentang bagaimana spiritualitas dapat menjadi landasan dalam merumuskan kebijakan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan, serta mengintegrasikan asas keberlanjutan dalam keseharian. Hasil studi ini bisa diterapkan pada pendidikan lingkungan, kebijakan publik, serta praktik keberlanjutan yang lebih luas.

Abstract

In the digital era, fostering empathy among students in virtual interaction settings has emerged as an important goal of educators and practitioners. This study investigates the effectiveness of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) mirroring strategies in improving students' empathetic character in virtual interactions, using a mixed-methods research design. Quantitative data were collected through pre- and post-intervention surveys administered via Google Forms to measure the students' levels of empathy. Qualitative data were collected through observations, interviews, and Forum Group Discussions (FGDs). Triangulating quantitative survey data with qualitative findings provided a comprehensive analysis of the impact of NLP mirroring strategies on student empathy in the context of virtual interactions. Participants in this research were 30 students in the 6th semester of the Medan State University (UNIMED) English Literature Study Program. The findings of this study have implications for educators, policymakers, and practitioners who wish to improve empathy and interpersonal skills in digitally funded educational settings. By illuminating the potential of NLP mirroring as a pedagogical tool, this study informs the development of evidence-based strategies to promote empathy and social-emotional learning in virtual learning environments.

Abstract

Discussion-based learning methods are approaches often used by teachers to encourage students to share views, skills, and knowledge. Lack of student engagement, uneven interaction, difficulty identifying interaction patterns and lack of data-based strategies to improve interaction are problems in discussion-based learning methods. Graph theory can be shown its role and usefulness in solving various problems by studying and analyzing models or formulas. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of graph theory and discussion learning methods to improve interaction between students in the mathematics learning process in the classroom. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 27 Medan and was conducted using qualitative methods. The results showed that the application of directed graph theory was able to improve interaction between students in learning discussions. Of the five groups formed, three groups showed good interaction dynamics through effective role sharing and active communication, while the other two groups were less successful due to lack of coordination and leadership. The directed graph pattern makes it easier to identify communication patterns, so it can be a guide for teachers in structuring groups that are more inclusive and effective. The implications of this research suggest that graph theory can help create collaborative learning environments and support overall student success.

Abstract

Technology has become a necessity in the modern era. The use of remote sensing technology in geospatial intelligence can be an effective solution to detect and prevent illegal fishing activities in Indonesia's maritime areas. This study uses a literature review method by gathering in-depth insights from journals and books. The focus is on remote sensing technology in geospatial intelligence to prevent illegal fishing. The purpose of this research is to examine the role of remote sensing in securing and monitoring Indonesia's maritime areas against illegal fishing. A technology-based approach using satellite imagery can be utilized for early detection and surveillance of maritime areas in Indonesia. Satellite imagery provides spatial and temporal data. The results indicate that the integration of remote sensing technology in geospatial intelligence plays a crucial role in enhancing surveillance capabilities in Indonesia's maritime regions.

Abstract

Motivation and student engagement in learning pose challenges faced by many schools, including SMP NU Medan. The lack of interest and participation among students hinders the learning process. With the development of artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications, there is potential to support learning and enhance student motivation and engagement. The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of using AI applications on the motivation and engagement of students at SMP NU Medan. This study employs a quantitative approach with an experimental method. A total of 36 ninth-grade students were selected through purposive sampling, and data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire, analyzed using descriptive statistical tests, Pearson correlation, reliability, and homogeneity tests. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between the use of AI applications and student motivation, with a correlation value of r = 0.320 (p < 0.05). However, the relationship between the use of AI applications and student engagement showed a lower strength, with a correlation value of r = 0.181 (p < 0.05). Descriptive analysis revealed an average motivation score of 19.42 and an engagement score of 18.89, indicating that the majority of students have a fairly good level of motivation and engagement.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the ineffectiveness of sentences in the form of incomplete ideas in the 2023 class 7 Indonesian language textbook by the Magetan Regency MGMP team. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data in the form of incomplete sentences. The data comes from the 2023 class 7 Indonesian language textbook by the Magetan Regency MGMP team which was collected using note-reading and library research techniques. The data analysis used is a descriptive analysis technique by describing sentences that are indicated as not having a complete idea. The research results showed that the incompleteness of the sentence ideas in the textbook was found in 21 sentences which were categorized into six forms: (1) incomplete (hanging) sentences; (2) there is no object accompanying the transitive active verb; (3) sentences without subject; (4) sentences without predicates; (5) sentences without subject and predicate; and (6) the sentence does not have a main clause (main sentence). Thus, it is hoped that this research can contribute to improving the quality of Indonesian language textbooks and support a more effective learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dan golongan darah terhadap kecepatan lari individu. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan analitik observasional, melibatkan 129 responden berusia 20–32 tahun. Data IMT dihitung dari berat badan dan tinggi badan, sedangkan golongan darah diuji secara serologis. Kecepatan lari diukur pada lintasan 60 meter menggunakan alat pengukur waktu digital. Analisis statistik dilakukan menggunakan uji One-Way ANOVA dan Kruskal-Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa IMT memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kecepatan lari (p < 0,05), di mana responden dengan IMT normal menunjukkan performa terbaik dibandingkan kategori overweight atau obesitas. Sebaliknya, golongan darah tidak menunjukkan hubungan signifikan dengan kecepatan lari (p > 0,05), meskipun terdapat variasi kecil antar kelompok golongan darah. Usia juga tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kecepatan lari (p > 0,05), tetapi terdapat tren penurunan performa pada usia di atas 30 tahun. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa IMT berperan penting dalam menentukan kecepatan lari, sementara faktor golongan darah dan usia cenderung kurang relevan. Rekomendasi utama meliputi pengelolaan berat badan ideal dan program latihan rutin untuk meningkatkan performa fisik. Hasil ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan strategi kesehatan dan olahraga berbasis data.

Abstract

This study investigates the validity and reliability of the Employee Well-Being Scale tailored for university lecturers. The scale was designed to measure the multi-dimensional aspects of well-being among academic staff. Participants included 123 full-time lecturers from various universities across Indonesia, selected through random sampling to represent diverse academic environments. Inclusion criteria required lecturers to have a minimum of two years of teaching experience and active involvement in academic activities such as teaching, research, and administrative duties. The instrument was administered via an online survey to maximize efficiency and participation. Data analysis employed Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using SPSS software. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) measure confirmed sample adequacy with a value exceeding 0.5. The Anti-Image Matrix revealed sufficient Measures of Sampling Adequacy (MSA) values (>0.5) for individual variables. Total Variance Explained analysis identified the percentage of variance accounted for by extracted factors, while the Scree Plot helped determine the number of significant factors. The Rotated Component Matrix ensured that items strongly loaded onto their respective factors. Reliability testing yielded a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.948, indicating high internal consistency. The results validate the Employee Well-Being Scale as a reliable tool for assessing well-being among university lecturers, offering robust psychometric properties for further academic and practical applications. This study contributes to the development of evidence-based measures for promoting employee well-being in the higher education sector.

Abstract

Perception is a process involving sensing and interpreting data from the environment, which plays an important role in the interaction between individuals and their social contexts. This study aims to identify students' perceptions of biology learning, which is often considered difficult due to the complexity of scientific concepts and terminology. Using a meta-analysis method, this study analyzed ten articles from national journals regarding students' perceptions in biology learning. The results of the analysis showed that students' perceptions were generally positive, but there were still challenges in understanding some materials. Several factors such as teaching style, learning methods, and the relevance of the material to everyday life influenced these perceptions. This study also highlighted the importance of practicum-based learning and the use of digital media, such as Google Classroom, in improving understanding and motivation to learn. The conclusion shows that by increasing positive perceptions and strengthening conceptual understanding, biology learning outcomes can be significantly improved

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of development communication in the Additional Food Program (PMT) in Sungai Baru Village as a community education effort to prevent stunting. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings show that socialization through counseling sessions at health posts and community meetings effectively increased the understanding of pregnant women and mothers of young children about the importance of balanced nutrition. Innovations such as the "Healthy Kitchen to Overcome Stunting" program, in collaboration with DPPKBPMP and PLKB, successfully provided practical training, nutritious food aid, and empowered the community with cooking skills and nutritional knowledge. However, the study also identified challenges such as low educational levels, limited human resources, and economic factors affecting PMT distribution and education. Fluctuations in the number of stunted children indicate the need for continuous intervention and regular evaluation to optimize the program. The study concludes that despite challenges, strong commitment and collaboration with various stakeholders are essential to ensuring the effectiveness and sustainability of the program in addressing stunting in Sungai Baru Village.
