Abstract

The result of the research carried out is a video tutorial that will be used as a learning medium in the Makeup Course. The video tutorials used have the aim of helping students to be able to properly understand the material being taught because these video tutorials can be watched and studied repeatedly without being hindered by limited time or space. The method used in the research carried out is the Research and Development method using the ADDIE model, ncludes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. This research and development has passed validation test by material and media experts, and practicality test by students. In the results of the validation test carried out by material experts, a score of 82% was obtained, which was in the "very worthy" category. Meanwhile, the validation test carried out by media experts obtained a score of 71.6% and was included in the "worthy" category. Then, a practicality test was carried out on 40 students of Jakarta State University, Cosmetology Education Study Program class of 2022, obtaining a score of 95.3% which was in the "very practical" category. Based on the results of a series of tests that have been carried out, the video tutorial "How to Use Face Tape for Geriatric Makeup" was declared suitable and practical to be used as a learning medium in the Makeup Course.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing spelling errors in descriptive texts of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 4 Padang Panjang. Writing using correct spelling is very important because it is related to the clarity of information to be conveyed in formal situations. Without understanding the use of correct spelling, students will have difficulty doing things related to writing in the future. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with data sources of 22 descriptive texts of students' works. Data were analyzed based on errors in capital letters, prepositions, pronouns, punctuation, standard words, and foreign languages. The results of this study indicate that there are 141 spelling errors consisting of 35 capital letter errors, 31 errors in affixes, prepositions, and pronouns, 62 punctuation errors, and 13 errors in standard words and foreign languages. These errors are caused by students' lack of understanding of correct spelling rules and lack of attention from teachers in the learning process. This study is expected to be able to contribute to learning to write and use correct spelling in high school students.

Abstract

Physical education plays a crucial role in the physical and mental development of students, as well as in character building and social skills. This study aims to explore the relationship between arm muscle strength and arm length on underhand serve skills in volleyball among class X students at SMA VIP Al Huda Kebumen. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational design, this research involved 66 students randomly selected from a population of 80 students. Data were collected through measurements of arm muscle strength using push-up tests, arm length with a measuring tape, and underhand serve skills through the AAHPER accuracy serve test.The analysis results showed that all variables were normally and homogeneously distributed. The correlation between arm length and underhand serve skills showed a calculated r value of 0.783, while the correlation between arm muscle strength and underhand serve skills showed a calculated r value of 0.628. Both relationships were significant with p < 0.05. Additionally, the multiple correlation analysis between arm length and arm muscle strength on underhand serve skills showed a calculated r value of 0.394, which was also significant. These findings emphasize that increasing arm muscle strength and arm length can contribute to improving underhand serve skills, highlighting the importance of integrating structured training in physical education to enhance students' skill quality.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model on students' math learning outcomes at YPK 1 Hamadi Elementary School. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The sample selection technique used was random sampling. The sample in this study consisted of 2 groups, namely: the experimental group numbered 32 students, the control group numbered 32 students. This research was analyzed using SPSS 29 with normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using t test. The results of hypothesis submission obtained the value of tcount> ttable which is 5.772> 0.1.669 thus Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference from learning using the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model on student math learning outcomes at SD YPK 1 Hamadi. Abstract

This Classroom Action Research was conducted on students of class XI Mechanical Engineering-2 SMK PAB Helvetia Medan due to low learning motivation, where only 40% of students achieved a score of ≥75. The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine the application of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning model with animation media can increase learning motivation in class XI SMK PAB 1 Helvetia. 2) To determine how to apply the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning model with animation media can increase student learning motivation in class XI SMK PAB 1 Helvetia. 3) To determine learning motivation in class XI SMK PAB 1 Helvetia Medan when the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model with animation media is applied. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation of actions, observation, reflection. The subjects of this study were 32 students of class XI Mechanical Engineering-2. Data collection used in this study was qualitative and quantitative data. The results obtained from this study include the learning motivation of class XI Mechanical Engineering students of SMK Swasta PAB 1 Medan Helvetia when the project based learning model is applied. The study was conducted in three cycles, with 32 students as subjects. Data were collected qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed an increase in learning motivation: the average value increased from 74.6 (cycle I) to 84 (cycle II), and 90.32 (cycle III). The percentage of students with high motivation increased from 12.5% ​​(cycle I) to 81.25% (cycle III). Because it had reached a success indicator of ≥75%, the implementation of PJBL was stopped, showing its effectiveness in increasing student learning motivation.

Abstract

The low reading comprehension and learning motivation of Grade 2A students at XYZ Primary School in Jakarta served as the background for this study. The purpose of this research was to analyze the use of the paragraph shrinking strategy in improving the reading comprehension and motivation of Grade 2A students in English lessons. The study subjects were 17 Grade 2A students. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), consisting of three cycles. Each cycle included four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Reading comprehension was measured using pre-tests and post-tests, while motivation was assessed using a rubric with four indicators. The research results have shown an increase in the average scores in the third cycle, with reading comprehension reaching 88.53 and motivation reaching 88.60. Based on these findings, it was concluded that the paragraph shrinking strategy can improve the reading comprehension and learning motivation of Grade 2A students in English at XYZ Primary School in Jakarta.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is how to apply the Guided Inquiry method as a learning method that can improve the exploration ability and learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 193 Tanuntung, Bulukumba Regency. This study aims to improve the exploration ability and learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 193 Tanuntung, Bulukumba Regency. This type of research is classroom action research (Class Action Research) consisting of two cycles where each cycle is carried out in two meetings. The research procedure includes planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 18 fourth grade students of SDN 193 Tanuntung, Bulukumba Regency. The results of the study showed that in cycle I, only 4 students or 22.2% of the 18 students were completed individually and met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). While in cycle II, the number of learning completeness from 18 students was 18 students who completed or 100%. Thus, it is known that the difference in students who completed their learning outcomes classically from cycle I to cycle II is 14 students or 77.8% in the very high category. Based on the results of the study above, it can be concluded that the exploration ability and learning outcomes in the learning of Arts and Crafts of grade IV students of SDN 193 Tanuntung, Bulukumba Regency. have increased.

Abstract

This study is based on the issue that class VI students at SD Negeri 1 Kanan have a hard time grasping continental scientific concepts and learning about science in general. The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not sixth graders' understanding of content from all six continents is enhanced by the use of puzzle media. This study used a qualitative methodology based on descriptive techniques. In order to fit in with the current sixth grade curriculum at SD Negeri 1 Kanan in Sindang District, Indramayu Regency, this study was conducted on November 21, 2024, for the 2023–2024 school year. The 28 participants in this study were sixth graders from SDN 1 Jurun; 13 of them were male and 15 were female. The purpose of this study is to examine whether or not sixth graders may benefit from using puzzle media to enhance their learning. Methods for gathering information include watching them, having them fill out surveys, and keeping detailed records. Using puzzle media for learning has been a huge success so far. Learning becomes more engaging and interactive with the use of this medium, which also helps develop abilities like agility and patience. In order to encourage their pupils, teachers should strive to create a dynamic learning environment.

Abstract

The basic skills that must be possessed by students are literacy and numeracy. SDN 1 Watubelah packs a literacy program by providing an Intensive Reading Movement. This study contains an explanation of the Reading Intensive Movement which is a program of SDN 1 Watubelah which is carried out by lower grade students who collaborate with (PMDS) Student Service at school. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach with interview, observation and documentation instruments. In the implementation of the intensive reading movement, it produces conclusions in the form of program evaluations and program impacts in the form of advantages, disadvantages or obstacles and student participation

Abstract

Teenagers are an age group that is vulnerable to nutritional problems due to unbalanced consumption patterns. Good nutritional knowledge plays an important role in establishing healthy eating patterns and preventing various health problems, such as obesity, anemia and non-communicable diseases. Factors that influence teenagers' consumption patterns include family environment, social media, eating habits, and the availability of food around them. Tunas Bangsa Middle School, which is located in a tourism area with limited access, is very vulnerable to having students who have low consumption patterns and knowledge. This research aims to obtain a mapping of nutritional knowledge categories and consumption patterns of female students. Based on the research results, it was found that the nutritional knowledge status of Tunas Bangsa Middle School students in recognizing the concept of adolescent nutrition, ingredients and types of food, as well as consumption patterns was in the very high category, this is in accordance with findings on consumption patterns where the frequency of consumption of junk food has a lower value than other types of food such as fruit and vegetables. Accessibility and availability of food are one of the factors that shape the unique consumption patterns of teenagers at Tunas Bangsa Middle School. Consuming chicken and fish is the most favorite food of all types of food available. It is hoped that teenagers can adopt a more balanced diet to support optimal growth and health.
