Abstract

Education is the most important thing in a person's life, which means that every human being has the right to receive a proper education. Learning design starts from analytical activities that are used to describe real learning problems that need to be found for solutions. Online learning is a process of mastering material either on the internet or participating in online teaching and learning activities using electronic devices connected to the internet.This research is a type of qualitative research, namely the research used is based on the scientific conditions of the research object that occur in the field. This research is descriptive qualitative, which is a form of research aimed at describing existing phenomena and facts using an ex post facto approach.The findings of this study reveal that the design of Online learning design, namely RPP (Learning Implementation Plan) using the WhatsApp application and the Zoom application. This was expressed by teachers and students that online learning in the formation of students' academic character is still not optimal in the learning process. The principal and teachers at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Suppa, Pinrang Regency have provided online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, students were less than optimal in carrying out the online learning process, and students preferred face-to-face learning.

Abstract

Bullying in the elementary school environment is a serious problem that requires comprehensive handling. Observations conducted at SDN 1 Plumbon revealed that verbal bullying and the tendency of physical violence are the main problems at SDN 1 Plumbon. This study aims to introduce bullying at SDN 1 Plumbon. The activity was carried out through an extension approach with a socialization method involving material delivery, educational video screening, and interactive discussions. The program was conducted in three stages on 1-3 November 2024, targeting all students from grades 1 to 6. Results showed that in the first stage (grades 1-2), despite challenges in classroom management, students showed high enthusiasm for the material presented. In the second phase (grades 3-4), the activities ran smoothly with an active level of participation in discussions, signaling the achievement of learning objectives. The third stage (grades 5-6) showed students' deep understanding of the impact of bullying, demonstrated through serious responses during video playback and active sharing of experiences and solutions. This activity resulted in increased student awareness about the dangers of bullying and the importance of creating a safe school environment. The students also showed a commitment to prevent bullying and become advocates for friends who are victims. This gradual socialization approach proved effective in instilling an understanding of bullying prevention at the elementary school levell

Abstract

In educational institutions, teachers are a very important asset because with teachers the school will be able to achieve educational goals. Therefore, foundations and schools need to pay attention to one of the fulfillment of teacher needs, namely job satisfaction so that teachers can enjoy their work activities better. This study aims to test the effect of work engagement and social support on job satisfaction in teachers. This study involved 103 high school and junior high school teachers in the provinces of DKI Jakarta, West Java and Banten with multiple linear regression test analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the proposed hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is an effect of work engagement and social support on job satisfaction in teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the changes in economic and social conditions experienced by the community before and after the construction of the Way Sekampung Dam in Pekon Bumi Ratu, Pagelaran District, Pringsewu Regency. The study focuses on economic aspects, including 1) employment and business opportunities, 2) livelihoods, and 3) income, as well as social aspects such as public facilities. A descriptive method with a qualitative approach was applied in the research, utilizing the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test for data analysis. The findings indicate significant differences in economic conditions, such as increased employment and business opportunities, changes in livelihoods, and higher incomes. Additionally, improvements in social conditions, particularly public facilities, were observed following the dam's construction, benefiting the community in Pekon Bumi Ratu.

Abstract

Learning in primary schools requires innovative methods to improve students' understanding and motivation to learn. One of the main challenges is the lack of student involvement in the learning process due to the use of conventional methods that are less interactive. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of MATUR media in improving learning outcomes of grade II students of SDN Terusan 1 Sindang. The method used was classroom action research (PTK) carried out in two cycles, involving observation, interviews, tests, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results showed that the application of MATUR media had a positive impact on improving learning outcomes, with an increase in students' average score from 65.4 in the first cycle to 82.7 in the second cycle. In addition, students' involvement in the learning process increased significantly, as seen from the increased active participation in class discussions and their enthusiasm for the material being taught. MATUR media also proved effective in increasing students' learning motivation, due to the more interesting and interactive presentation of the material. The conclusion of this study confirms that the use of innovative learning media can be a solution in creating a more effective and enjoyable learning environment for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of digital flashcards based on Quizlet, which are feasible and practical to use for Anatomy and Physiology subjects for class X students of the Beauty and Spa vocational program at SMK Negeri 1 Kemang.The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the study indicated that the developed digital flashcards were deemed highly practical, with a score of 92% in the one-to-one trial, 89.2% in the small group, and 91.52% in the large group test. Consequently, this Quizlet-based digital flashcard media is deemed feasible and practical as a learning media, with the potential to enhance students' comprehension and memorization of Anatomy Physiology terms in an interactive manner.

Abstract

This research explores the challenges faced by ESL students in reading comprehension, specifically focusing on Grade 12 students at Mahabodhi Vidya High School. Unit test results indicate that reading comprehension scores are significantly lower than those for listening, grammar, and vocabulary, largely due to difficulties with unfamiliar vocabulary and inconsistent application of reading strategies. To address these challenges, the study employs a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent groups to examine the impact of gamification and lyrical music on vocabulary acquisition and comprehension of informational texts. Two experimental groups (one using gamification and the other using lyrical music) and a control group participated in pretests and posttests aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Statistical analyses, including paired t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and N-Gain calculations, demonstrated that while both interventions improved reading comprehension, gamification had a significantly stronger effect, as evidenced by higher mean scores in the gamification group compared to the lyrical music group. The interactive features of gamification, such as real-time feedback and competitive elements, fostered deeper engagement, whereas lyrical music facilitated learning through emotional connections. Grounded in the Active View of Reading theory, this study highlights how these strategies address multiple reading processes and enhance student motivation. Although both approaches proved beneficial, gamification exhibited greater potential, offering valuable insights for innovative instructional methods to enhance ESL students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem in the school environment that can have a negative impact on students' psychological, social and academic development. SDN 1 Watubelah faces challenges in creating a safe learning environment, so preventive efforts are needed to overcome this problem. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of interactive video-based socialization in preventing Bullying, which involves the participation of Muhammadiyah University Cirebon students in community service programs. A qualitative approach using the case study method was used in this research, with data collection techniques through interviews, participant observation and documentation. The research results show that interactive video-based socialization increases students' understanding of the impact of Bullying and builds collective awareness among students, teachers and the community in preventing this behavior. Implementation of this method also increases student participation in discussions and self-reflection, which contributes to positive behavioral changes in the school environment. Thus, the use of interactive videos as an educational medium has proven effective in increasing students' awareness and understanding of Bullying. It is hoped that this program can become a model for other schools in developing more interactive and sustainable Bullying prevention strategies.

Abstract

Content is something that can help viewers in finding information about products or services that can be seen through social media. Instagram social media is the second most used social media application in Indonesia. Instagram is often used for business, which is used to promote products or services that are sold so that they can be better known by many people, by uploading photo or video content that promotes the results of the product or service being sold. The Instagram application is also often used by makeup artist service sellers to upload makeup content on Instagram as a promotional medium. This study aims to determine the effect of makeup content on Instagram on purchasing decisions for makeup artist services. Using an associative quantitative approach with a survey, data was collected from 99 respondents through a questionnaire that included 19 statements about makeup content and 18 statements about purchasing decisions. The results of the simple linear regression test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and a t_count of 8.854 (>1.98472), indicating a significant influence of 44.7% between makeup content on Instagram and the purchase decision of makeup artist services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Just in Time (JIT) strategy in optimizing student services at STIT NU Sumber Agung. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of JIT in academic and administrative services can improve time efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance student satisfaction. However, JIT implementation also faces several challenges, including technological limitations and human resource readiness. Additionally, organizational culture and long-standing administrative habits become obstacles in adopting a more efficient system. The current condition shows that the space at STIT NU Sumber Agung is still inadequate, with no clear spatial division, causing disorganization in administration and services. STIT NU Sumber Agung has approximately 560 students, supported by 60 academic staff and 4 employees. The campus facilities are still limited, with classrooms shared with MA NU and the absence of a dedicated laboratory. Students also struggle to access academic and administrative services due to a lack of awareness about service locations. They tend to contact familiar lecturers or personnel rather than following the established service procedures. Therefore, strategies such as enhancing digitalization systems, structuring space more efficiently, and providing staff training are essential in optimizing JIT benefits in student services. The primary recommendation of this study is the need for institutional policy strengthening to support JIT adoption and increasing awareness of efficiency benefits among all stakeholders at STIT NU Sumber Agung.
