Abstract

Academic procrastination is the tendency to delay assignments by doing other things that are considered more enjoyable and done on purpose so that assignments are not completed. Based on the results of researchers' observations on December 12 2021 at SMP Negeri 10 Jambi City class VIII, 10 students were found to be experiencing academic procrastination. Using self-management techniques in group guidance services can reduce academic procrastination behavior that students experience. The purpose of this research is to reduce students' academic procrastination using group guidance services using self-management techniques at SMP Negeri 10 Jambi City. This type of research is service action research (PTL). Sampling criteria (research subjects) namely purposive sampling with a total of 10 class VIII people. This research was conducted in 3 cycles and each cycle consisted of 1 action and this research consisted of four competencies for each cycle, namely planning, implementing, evaluating, and reflecting. The results of this study indicate that students' academic procrastination can be reduced by using self-management techniques. From the results of the initial questionnaire before the implementation of the cycle, a percentage of 91.8% was obtained and the final questionnaire after completing cycle III obtained a percentage of 44.6%. These results indicate a reduction in academic procrastination in students. While the results of the observation per cycle percentage obtained: Cycle I overall percentage was 46%, cycle II was obtained with a percentage of 64%, cycle III was 88%. These results indicate that there are positive changes in students and the results of this study are expected to help counseling teachers in improving students' low prosocial behavior in the aspects of sharing, cooperation, helping, donating and honesty.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest in student learning in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects. This is due in large part to the fact that most social studies lessons are placed at the end of class, where at the end of the class students begin to feel lazy to study and also sleepy, besides that students are not able to answer the feedback given by the teacher about the material just being taught, students are less involved active in the learning process. Teachers who tend to use the lecture method because social studies studies talk a lot about theory, this makes students more easily bored following lessons and seems difficult to answer test questions. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether the application of cooperative learning through paired card media can improve social studies learning outcomes for students at MTs Raudhatul Akmal Batang Kuis, Medan.

Abstract

Literacy is a crucial foundation in students' lives. This literacy is not confined to a classroom. These skills can also be acquired from outside the classroom. One is extracurricular activities. The purpose of this study is to know efforts to increase literacy interest in students. The study involves qualitative methods. Studies have shown a slow increase in after-school activities by completed extracurricular reading at SMP Swasta IRA. However, the changes have not been able to improve literacy interest well. There are still many students who have not yet recognized the importance of literacy. In this regard, teachers should give more encouragement to overcome them.

Abstract

This study discusses Learning to Write Reports on Environmental Observation Results with the 4 ME Model (Explaining, Repeating, Applying, and Presenting). The purpose of this research is to present learning in a conducive and well-monitored classroom atmosphere. Because there is no one learning model that is the most perfect, but the deficiencies of the learning model can be covered by another learning model. So, it is necessary to integrate several learning models in order to create better and optimal learning objectives. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Research data through cooperative learning and problem-based learning the authors combine the stages and ways of learning the two models into one learning model. The writer named this learning model 4Me. 4Me learning invites students to be active in learning together with their friends in class. 4Me learning is carried out with educators and students with four learning steps.4Me. The results of the research, through a pleasant process of learning Indonesian, are expected to create a generation that excels and masters learning well and can make good use of it for the lives of students. There are several things that educators should pay attention to when using the 4Me learning model in learning activities at school, especially for the material for the Observation Report. First, the focus of students in participating in learning. Second, don't mix active students only with active students, but must combine active and inactive students. Third, student safety when making observations outside the classroom, so as not to disturb the learning situation of other classes.

Abstract

In creating a creative learning process, teachers must have skills and develop them. One of the To produce creative learning activities, teachers must have skills and develop them. One of the eight basic teaching skills is variety. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the teacher's skills in teaching variations in managing the class. In this study the authors used the method of library research (library research), in this research in the literature study by reading books and data sources that contain data from various literature in the form of relevant journals, articles, books. The results of the study showed that there were several significant influences regarding the teacher's skills to hold variations in managing the class including increasing student learning interest, increasing student learning outcomes, increasing student learning achievement, increasing student learning activeness, increasing student learning motivation. Therefore, the teacher should pay attention to the skills of holding variations in managing the class.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teacher's role in increasing student interest in learning using the recitation method and the discussion method on PPKn subjects at UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan in the 2021/2022 academic year. This type of research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 37 Medan in the academic year 2021/2022. The results showed that the teacher's role was positively and significantly related to students' interest in learning, which indicated that the t count > t table (49.41 > 12.02) and the significant value < a (0.00 < 0.05).

Abstract

The study is backed up by a large number of parents who are so busy with work that they do not provide learning support for their children, ata high school in the country of 4 cities, there is a high point in students' lack of learning motivation because their parents' average job is self-employed and fail to provide incentive for their children. The purpose of this study is to look at the relationship between the home guidance system and the student's motive for studying at sman 4 jambi city and the number of 81 students. Sampling withdrawal techniques using random sampling techniques. The result of research on parental guidance relationships with the motivation for student studies at sman 4 cities is categorized in a moderate correlation. Based on the results of angket processing Shared by researchers. It is known that the Pearson correlation value and product correlation analysis of the formula is 0.413.

Abstract

The success of a school institution is determined by many factors, one of which is leadership by the principal. The principal is given the task of being responsible for managing, driving the school optimally in order to achieve the goals and vision and mission of the school. In order to achieve the goal of course the principal must have the ability to be an example for his subordinates. The principal as a leader must provide and show his leadership properly, one of which is by arriving on time and carrying out his duties in accordance with his duties and functions to motivate his subordinates, by doing this indirectly encourages and motivates teacher performance to have skills. The main focus in my research is situational leadership carried out by the principal of SDIT Ash-Shofa. The purpose of this study is to explain objectively how the leadership of a woman in Islam can influence decision making in the institutions she leads. The method used in this research is observation.

Abstract

In everyday life humans have various ways of establishing communication between one another. This activity is called associating. Humans have their own art in associating, one of which is by using a sense of humor or the sensitivity of humor. The art of socializing in the form of a sense of humor is used whose purpose is to bring the individual to be familiar with other individuals and their environment. This also applies in the school environment. Students with a good sense of humor will tend to make friends easily and have a good impact on familiarity with one another and vice versa. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of the sense of humor and the quality of students' intimacy in socializing and to find the influence between the two. This type of research is quantitative with ex post facto method. Data collection techniques used in the form of observation, interviews and questionnaires. The validity of the data is proven through percentage test, hypothesis test and simple regression. Data analysis uses techniques that are implemented from reduction, presentation and conclusion.

Abstract

Confidence is a person's belief in the ability possessed to present well in front of others. While asking is one of the elements in learning, and indicates an interaction between individuals.This research is limited to the problem of increasing student confidence in asking questions in class by using group guidance services and using modeling techniques given to class VIII A students at SMP Negeri 17 Kota Jambi. The modeling technique is one of the TT techniques by presenting a pilot to the client about how to do something or how something happens. By seeing, observing or observing other people who can bring a client's understanding and can change a behavior.The type of this research was service follow-up research (PTL). The subjects in this study were 6 students in class VIII A, SMP Negeri 17 Jambi City with the initials, SPR, AZA, WUL, KNA, RRJ and AAL. This research was conducted in 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementing, evaluating, reflecting. To see the results of the cycle he did by collecting observation data, interviews, questionnaires.The results showed that modeling techniques can increase students' confidence in asking questions in class. Of the three cycles carried out, the third cycle had the best results, namely the confidence in asking questions in class reached 92% with the accuracy of implementing the techniques carried out by researchers based on the results of questionnaires that had been carried out by researchers for each cycle that had been carried out. Obtain the results of the first cycle with an overall percentage of 12%, while the second cycle with a percentage of 69%. The results of this study are expected to help Guidance and Counseling Teachers to develop knowledge in increasing students' confidence in asking questions in class.
