Abstract

Leadership at this time has many methods of leadership styles including democratic, transformational, authoritarian, delegative, visionary, and servant leadership that can be applied in leading an organization. One method of leadership style is servant leadership. Human resource management in the education sector still needs to be improved to improve the quality of education. Education quality is influenced by servant leadership and millennial teacher characteristics. This study aims to determine the characteristics of millennial teachers as an intervening variable. This research was conducted at the Ma'arif NU Education Foundation Talang Pasuruan with a total sample of 104 respondents. The data used are primary data obtained directly from respondents through questionnaires and the respondents are all teachers at the Ma'arif NU Talang Education Foundation which consists of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Madrasah Tsanawiyah, and Madrasah Aliyah educational institutions. The test results show that servant leadership affects the quality of education, the characteristics of millennial teachers affect the quality of education, and finally, the characteristics of millennial teachers can mediate servant leadership on the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the knowledge-sharing strategy carried out by school principals in improving the quality of multi-tasking-based human resources in schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study. Research data were obtained from interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique is carried out in stages, from data collection, reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that; knowledge sharing conducted by school principals in improving the quality of multi-tasking-based human resources in schools is implemented through; formation of mindsets for all school members, training and upgrading of existing resources, formation of knowledge sharing forums, supervision with the principle of continuous improvement. This research has implications for the importance of performance productivity displayed by all school members in order to be able to become a competitive and highly competitive school

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the school-community relationship program through the Hidden Curriculum during the Covid-19 pandemic at Al-Furqan Elementary School Jember. This research focuses on implementing the school-community relationship program through the Hidden Curriculum during the Covid-19 pandemic at Al-Furqan Elementary School Jember. The approach in this research is qualitative research with a case study. The object of research is Al-Furqan Elementary School, Jember Regency. The data collection technique uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques with data analysis using qualitative data analysis procedures consisting of data condensation, data presentation, and inference/verification. The results showed the implementation of the school-community relationship program through the Hidden Curriculum during the Covid-19 pandemic at Al-Furqon Elementary School Jember, including learning, humanitarian, cultural, and partnership programs carried out by; 1) extracurricular activities; 2) co-curricular; and 3) extracurricular. Hidden curriculum through extracurricular activities such as character strengthening, Sunday morning activity, digital literacy, a celebration of religious holidays and the role of school committees. Co-curricular activities implemented are morning habituation with memorizing prayers, fostering homeroom teacher and Counseling Guidance teacher, and reciting the Qur'an, which is carried out through zoom and learning using google classroom. Extracurricular activities are scouting, computers and young doctor, all carried out online.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine Kotter's leading change model at the Faculty of Education University of Khartoum with a major purpose of evaluating the contribution of this theory to enhance the importance and understanding of leading change at the University context. In doing so, a survey research design was employed. Among 239 staff members at the Faculty of Education University of Khartoum, data were collected from 106 (44.00%) respondents using questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed using one sample t-test. The result showed that creating a climate for change has been practised in the Faculty of Education University of Khartoum. The Faculty of Education University of Khartoum has engaged and enabled the whole organization in the change process. The findings also indicated that the Faculty of Education University of Khartoum has implemented and sustained change process. Hence, the implication of these findings adds to the understanding of how college officials ought to play a role model in embedding the change in their behaviors.

Abstract

This study explores quality improvement strategies in Madrasahs in the Ponorogo district during the Covid-19 situation. This research is quantitative research with a descriptive method. The population in this study were educators and education staff in Madrasah, Ponorogo Regency, amounting to 15 madrasah. The research analysis was done descriptively. This study found that the madrasa-based quality improvement strategy developed in Ponorogo Regency during the Covid-19 pandemic; First, the planning aspect, namely curriculum adjustments, online-based learning services, administrative services, and adjustments to the rules according to the Covid-19 situation policy. Second is the development of intelligent system innovation. Third, ensure that educators and education personnel carry out their duties according to health protocols and increase capacity according to learning needs in the Covid-19 situation; Fourth, aspects of parental support, provision of parental consultation rooms, and essential skills. The implications of the research findings can be a positive inspiration for improving the quality of madrasah in the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and understand the principal's transformational leadership in realizing digital literacy. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of phenomenology. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through several stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that; transformational leadership strategy in increasing digital literacy by holding mini workshops and digital literacy examples. The challenges and solutions in transformational leadership are that teachers are still technology literate and not wholeheartedly in studying digitalization and inadequate internet access. This research has implications for the importance of designing educational institutions oriented toward developing digital literacy in responding to the challenges and demands of the times.

Abstract

Supportive leadership is the hope of organizations that wish to be efficient and competitive in services. There is a positive perception of leadership that potentially increases the job satisfaction of members. To achieve job satisfaction under supportive leadership, other variables are needed in achieving goals, including organizational support by subordinates. Therefore, this study examines predictively supportive leadership on job satisfaction and organizational support as moderate variables. Data were obtained from two state Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia with the unit of analysis being ASN employees as many as 75 respondents were obtained randomly as a sample. While the data were collected through google form, the analysis method was using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) assisted by SmartPls 3.2 software. Research findings indicate that supportive leadership behavior has a major contribution to employee job satisfaction. However, perceived organizational support as a moderate variable on job satisfaction has a less significant contribution.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource management in improving the quality of madrasa services at MTs Negeri Model Palangkaraya. This research uses a qualitative case study approach, where the researcher uses interviews, observations, and documentation in collecting data. The data analysis was carried out by referring to the Miles and Huberman concept: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study indicate that human resource management in improving the quality of madrasa services is carried out through; the determination of service quality targets, analysis of human resource needs, fulfillment of human resource needs, and evaluation of human resource performance. This study has implications for the importance of madrasah in preparing the quality of the human resources in them to provide excellent service to the community and meet expectations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of competence, commitment, and motivation of teachers in the Mu'adah Islamic boarding school. This study used a qualitative method with a multi-case type and was conducted at the Al-Amin Sumenep and Sidogiri Islamic boarding schools, Pasuruan. Data collection techniques used the instruments of the interview, observation, and documentation. Several activities in analyzing data include; data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found that the development of teacher competence at the Mu' Islamic boarding school is to apply a pattern based on spirituality and professionalism through integrated, holistic, and continuous coaching and training strategies, as well as to cultivate self-taught learning. The development of teacher commitment is based on the principle of devotion because Kyai, coaches, teachers, and students live together and are supported by a religiously nuanced Islamic boarding school environment. The development of teacher motivation is based on the values of sincerity and blessing combined with modern professional management.

Abstract

This research is essential to measure the effectiveness of the factors that determine the competitive advantage of educational institutions. This study aims to determine the effect of visionary leadership and accountability toward competitive advantage at an educational institution. The research method used a survey; meanwhile, multiple regression tests were used to examine research hypotheses. The research samples were as many as 42 employees consisting of teachers and staff. The results of this research conclude that there is a significant influence between the visionary leadership of the headmaster and the ability to conduct accountability to competitive advantage. The coefficient score of determination shows that 88, 7 % of competitive advantage is determined by the pattern of visionary leadership and accountability. The competitive advantage of an educational institution is influenced by the principal's visioner, leadership, and accountability. The implication of this study is finding the concept that competitive advantage is influenced by visionary leadership and accountability.
