Abstract

Teachers utilizing a contextual approach are expected to integrate the material taught with real-world situations relevant to students' lives. Despite limitations in their abilities, teachers are still tasked with optimizing the learning process. The animation-based Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) model facilitates an engaging and enjoyable learning environment. This approach allows students to naturally interact with the material, promoting direct practice in group settings. Contextual learning fosters a deeper understanding of the essence, meaning, and benefits of education, motivating students to persistently seek knowledge and develop a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Such conditions emerge when students comprehend their life needs and devise strategies to fulfill them. The study concludes that implementing the STAD cooperative learning model for Class XI IPS students at SHS 4 Bengkalis during the 2022/2023 academic year significantly enhanced learning outcomes. The pre-cycle completion rate was 50% (13 students), increasing to 73% (19 students) in Cycle I, and reaching 88% (23 students) in Cycle II. In terms of absorption rates, the initial figure was 67%, which rose to 73% in Cycle I and improved further to 86% in Cycle II. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of STAD in improving student engagement and achievement.

In response to these challenges, school principals play a pivotal role in promoting effective school management through adept leadership and strategic communication. This literature review examines the attributes of effective school management, emphasizing the leadership responsibilities of school principals in Indonesia. Key components include defining educational objectives clearly, implementing structured learning approaches, and fostering inclusive stakeholder engagement. Additionally, the study highlights communication as pivotal in enhancing organizational coherence and achieving educational goals. Through an analysis of existing literature, this paper advocates for customized communication strategies by school principals to enhance school management effectiveness, contributing to the discourse on educational leadership and management practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Planning is a critical process in establishing organizational goals, strategies, programs, and activities to achieve desired results effectively and efficiently. Through planning, educational goals can be determined, including financing that involves various parties such as the central, regional, and community governments. The planning process also includes the allocation of required resources, to improve the quality of education through funds such as the School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS) Program, and Educational Operational Assistance (BOP). Education costs include direct costs related to educational activities and indirect costs that support the educational environment. Financing standards are set to meet the minimum educational operational needs for one year, with components such as investment, and operational and personal costs. This research uses a library study method to collect and analyze data from secondary sources. Abstract

This study aims to explore the factors that cause adolescent deviant behavior, forms of deviation that may occur, and efforts that can be made to overcome these problems. The title tries to present an interesting nuance by using words such as "Urban Reality" to highlight urban life and "Social Footprint of Adolescents" to show a focus on the social aspects of adolescent behavior. "Finding Solutions for Deviant Behavior" emphasizes that this study does not only highlight the problem but also seeks to find solutions to overcome adolescent deviant behavior. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively, using qualitative descriptive presentation techniques to describe in detail the findings found. The results of this study reveal that deviant behavior among adolescents in urban areas is increasingly a major concern. The existence of the phenomenon of drug abuse, gang brawls, drunken behavior and the tendency to smoke are increasingly disturbing forms of deviation. The study identified the motives that cause deviant behavior, including the influence of failed socialization processes, weak social control that creates a vacuum of control, and the practice of labeling or nicknames by society to certain individuals, which then triggers self-identification as deviant. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of the role of strong social control and community efforts in avoiding stigmatization that can exacerbate adolescent behavioral problems in urban areas: Vocational High School (VHS) 5 Padang.

Abstract

This study found that principals who adopt transformational leadership can improve morale, staff satisfaction, and student engagement in the educational process. This leadership also plays a role in building a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school culture, which supports the achievement of educational goals effectively. This study confirms that attention to individual well-being, appropriate support, and open and responsive communication between principals and teachers are essential to improving teacher performance and job satisfaction. The results show that a positive principal leadership style can improve teacher productivity and job satisfaction, which in turn has an impact on improving the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. However, the implementation of transformational leadership faces challenges such as lack of understanding of the concept and uncertainty about the changes needed. Therefore, a clear understanding and adequate resources are needed to support teacher professional development and the implementation of consistent and effective leadership strategies. In conclusion, transformational leadership by principals is essential to creating a harmonious and empowering educational environment, which can bring positive changes in the world of education.

Abstract

The development of science and technology has brought significant progress in education. Traditionally, learning media for recognizing objects in children is often limited to books that only contain text and pictures, which often reduces interest in learning and increases boredom. However, with the emergence of Augmented Reality (AR), we can witness a technology that can integrate virtual objects into real environments in real-time. AR can help visualize concepts and understand an object's structure by projecting it in 2D or 3D. In a learning context, AR can be an exciting innovation, allowing children to not only read the text but also see three-dimensional objects accompanied by audio and translations in various languages, such as English, Indonesian, and Mandarin. The aim of developing AR applications in Android-based language learning is to improve the learning process and enrich students' interests by presenting interactive and entertaining content. This application development method includes the stages of conceptualization, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The result of this research is a design for an AR application in language learning which is expected to continue to be improved to provide a better user experience.

Abstract

Computer-based management information systems mean that computers play an important role. An organization's technical capabilities, or an organization's ability to adapt to internal and external conditions, are critical to organizational success. In the midst of rapid technological advances, using Management Information Systems is the best way to manage high-quality information resources. The management role requires the effective deployment and use of resources to achieve specific goals. As a result, this task will help management by providing information quickly and precisely. To support company goals, an effective management information system is needed. In reality, the term "computer-based" or "computer-based information processing" is always associated with good and efficient management information systems. Information is required for each process, which is partly created by the management information system. To meet the needs and decisions made by organizations at each level of management, data and information produced by information systems through special analysis are very helpful. Therefore, the aim of establishing a management information system (MIS) is to provide organizations with data and information that assists in making management decisions, both relating to routine and strategic management and decisions.
