Abstract

Conflict at school can be caused by conflicting demands, needs, drives, or desires. If conflicts can be resolved well, cooperative relationships will improve, and levels of trust and productivity will increase. Conflicts arise due to ineffective conflict management. Failure to manage conflict hinders the achievement of shared goals and disrupts the dynamics of interpersonal relationships. The research was carried out using a qualitative study method (Single Instrumental Case Study), which is a type of case research as an example to get an overview of problems and prevent individuals from improving their performance. By focusing on natural and naturalistic phenomena that exist in schools and carried out by observation in the field with strategies for Proper conflict management teachers' stress can be reduced and their ability to handle conflict at school can be improved. This can help create a more harmonious and productive school environment for all parties involved. Interpersonal conflicts between colleagues must be resolved quickly so as not to damage work relationships, affect mental well-being, and even hurt the quality of teaching. Conflict between co-workers in schools can hardly be avoided completely, but effective conflict management can help reduce the impact of stress arising from such conflict. Interpersonal conflict between co-workers can have a significant impact on teacher stress in the educational environment.

Abstract

Indonesia is a disaster-prone region. Data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) shows that the number of disasters in Indonesia has continued to increase up to 2021. Therefore, comprehensive risk management of disaster threats is urgently needed to reduce losses due to disasters. One way to achieve this is by implementing an environment-based and disaster mitigation learning model in Indonesian language education. This simple study aims to examine students' perceptions of the implementation of an environment-based and disaster mitigation learning model in Indonesian language education. This research is quantitative using a descriptive method. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire distributed to 47 students. About 74% of respondents had experienced a disaster and indicated low disaster preparedness when it occurred. The percentage of positive perceptions towards environment-based and disaster mitigation language learning was higher among students who had experienced disasters, at 88.5%. Although this is only a 3.5% difference from the positive perceptions of the 26% of students who had not experienced natural disasters, it shows that those who have experienced disasters and felt the direct impact of natural disasters consider the implementation of an environment-based and disaster mitigation Indonesian language learning model to be more important and necessary.

Abstract

The decline in the quality of education is caused by various factors, including unprofessional educational supervision, limitations in learning activities, and the practice of corruption, collusion, and nepotism. Ineffective supervision results in a gap between supervisors and teachers, so that the quality of learning is not optimal. In addition, the practice of cheating in national exams which is still rampant is also a serious concern. To overcome this problem, hard work is needed from educational thinkers and practitioners to improve the quality of education through professional supervision and breaking the chain of corruption. This study aims to identify problems in the education system in Indonesia and emphasize the importance of supervision in improving the quality of education. The research method used is a literature study, with analysis of various secondary data sources such as books and journals. The results of the study indicate that effective supervision can improve the quality of the learning process and learning environment, so there needs to be a focus on improving teacher skills through professional guidance.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of school principals as change leaders in implementing the Independent Curriculum in Indonesia. It explores their strategies, innovative practices, and the factors contributing to both the successes and challenges of curriculum application. Adopting a qualitative methodology, data were gathered through purposive sampling, with school principals serving as primary informants. The findings reveal that principals are instrumental in driving curriculum reform by engaging in academic supervision, cultivating collaborative school environments, and promoting student-centered learning approaches. Key strategies identified include organizing professional development initiatives, fostering stakeholder partnerships, and efficiently managing resources to align teaching methodologies with the curriculum’s objectives. Innovative practices, such as establishing professional learning communities and introducing project-based learning activities, further facilitate the curriculum's adoption. The study identifies several factors that support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, including active teacher involvement, government-sponsored training programs, and curriculum designs tailored to local contexts. The study highlights the critical need for continuous professional development, comprehensive strategic planning, and consistent policy support to overcome these obstacles. Effective leadership by school principals is essential for fostering a positive school culture and encouraging collaboration among stakeholders, thereby enabling systemic transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the SAKOLA (School Administration System) application, an Android-based tool designed to enhance the assessment process in Physical Education, Sports, and Health learning in elementary schools. Employing the Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), the study systematically addressed existing challenges faced by teachers in conducting assessments. Observations in Padang City elementary schools revealed significant difficulties, including manual processes, inadequate facilities, and a lack of technological tools for recording, analyzing, and communicating learning outcomes. The School Administration System (SAKOLA) application was designed to address these issues by providing features such as automatic summarization of assessments, mobile accessibility, and user-friendly navigation. The results demonstrated that the application is highly valid, with expert evaluations yielding an average validity score of 82.86%, categorized as "very valid". Practicality testing further confirmed its usability, with scores consistently categorized as "very good" across individual, group, and field tests. The application also proved effective in improving assessment efficiency and user satisfaction. These findings establish the SAKOLA application as a valid, practical, and effective tool, offering a significant advancement in the management of learning assessments for Physical Education, Sports, and Health in elementary schools.
