This article discusses legal protection for trademark owners against trademark rights violations in digital commerce from a legal system perspective, where the conclusion of this article is that Indonesia is a country that adheres to a civil law system legal culture as also adopted by continental European countries. which prioritizes positive law or written law, is obliged to provide legal certainty regarding legal protection for trademark owners for violations of trademark rights in digital commerce. Keywords: E-commerce, Merk.

Abstract

Conflicts between economic interests have become a controversial issue in the utilization of sea sand, which has high demand in the international construction sector but has the potential to damage the ecosystem and threaten the welfare of the community. The Indonesian government previously issued Law Number 27 of 2007 to protect the ecosystem of coastal areas and small islands from over-exploitation. However, the ratification of Government Regulation Number 26 of 2023 which reopens sea sand exports has sparked controversy. This new policy is considered to prioritize short-term economic interests and ignore long-term environmental and social impacts. With a normative approach, this study examines the applicable regulations and applies the theory of legal certainty to analyze the impact of the policy. It was found that this decision reflects a conflict of business interests and has the potential to ignore the community, damage the ecosystem, and violate the principle of sustainability. The conclusion of this study shows that there is legal uncertainty due to the lack of regulatory consistency, so that regulatory harmonization is needed to achieve fair and sustainable natural resource governance. Keywords: Business Conflict, Sea Sand Export, Legal Certainty

Abstract

Labor pain can affect uterine contractions through the secretion of catecholamine and cortisol levels, which increase sympathetic nervous system activity, causing changes in blood pressure, heart rate, and respiration, and ultimately affecting the duration of labor. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of hot and cold compresses in reducing labor pain during the active phase of the first stage of labor at PMB Ernita Pekanbaru. The research employed a pretest-posttest method in a group of laboring mothers, measuring pain scales before and after the intervention. The results showed that the majority of labor pain levels without hot compresses (pretest) were in the category of very severe pain with a pain scale of 7–8 (73.3%). After applying hot compresses (posttest), the majority of pain levels decreased to severe pain with a pain scale of 5–6 (73.3%). Meanwhile, the majority of labor pain levels without cold compresses (pretest) were categorized as very severe pain (46.7%) and unbearable pain (46.7%) with a pain scale of 7–10. After applying cold compresses (posttest), the majority of pain levels decreased to severe pain with a pain scale of 5–6 (53.3%).Data analysis showed a significant effect of hot and cold compresses on reducing labor pain during the active phase of the first stage of labor, with a p-value of 0.000. Therefore, hot and cold compresses can be recommended as effective non-pharmacological interventions to reduce labor pain and support a more comfortable and efficient labor process. Keywords: Hot compress, cold compress, labor pain, active phase of the first stage of labor

Abstract

Abstract: This paper examines the legal non-compliance of business actors regarding foreign capital restrictions in the pharmacy sector. The investment regulations categorize the pharmacy business as a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME), thus limiting it to domestic capital. However, in reality, many business actors violate these provisions by involving foreign capital in their ownership structure. This study employs a normative legal approach, emphasizing the importance of ethical principles, justice, and legal compliance. The conclusion of this writing indicates that this non-compliance is influenced by a complex interaction between substance, structure, legal culture, and external factors. It is recommended that the government enforce the law firmly, enhance the socialization of regulations, and implement effective supervision to promote legal compliance and fair competition in the pharmacy sector. Additionally, an evaluation of investment regulations is necessary to support the growth of businesses in this sector. Keywords: Legal Compliance, Restrictions, Foreign Capital, Pharmacy

Abstract

Abstract: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), obesity is one of the main global health problems and continues to increase, including in Indonesia. This research aims to examine the impact of green tea consumption on obesity by analyzing 20 journals published in Indonesia. Green tea contains bioactive compounds such as catechins that are believed to increase fat oxidation and thermogenesis, making it a promising natural intervention for weight management. In this review, each journal is analyzed based on research design, methodology, sample size, measuring tools, and main findings. The results of the analysis showed that green tea consumption consistently correlated with significant weight loss, reduced body fat, and improvements in metabolic health parameters such as lipid profiles and blood pressure. Most studies use experimental and quasi-experimental designs, with sample sizes varying from children to older adults. This research shows that green tea can be an important part of obesity management strategies in Indonesia. This study concluded that green tea has great potential as a dietary intervention for weight loss and improving metabolic health in different populations. Further studies are needed to understand the long-term effects and mechanisms underlying these benefits of green tea. Keywords: Green tea, obesity, weight loss, Indonesia, weight management, metabolic health.
