Abstract

Abstract: The unilateral dismissal of permanent non-civil servant employees (non-ASN) working under Public Service Agencies (BLU) constitutes an act that should be declared legally invalid. Such action contradicts the principles of justice, legal certainty, protection of employees’ rights, and the principles of good governance. This dismissal not only violates the normative rights of employees as regulated in the Manpower Law and the State Civil Apparatus Law but also infringes upon the constitutional right to decent work as guaranteed under Article 27 paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution. Moreover, the dismissal process carried out without verification, dialogue, validation, or the provision of transitional arrangements represents a neglect of the institution’s legal responsibilities, potentially leading to injustice and both material and immaterial losses for employees. Therefore, the dismissal decision should be annulled or reviewed, and Higher Education Institutions are obliged to provide a fair transition opportunity for non-ASN employees, including the right to participate in the PPPK recruitment process, in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations. Keywords: Legal Protection, Non-ASN Employees, PPPK.

Abstract

Abstract: Children who experience stunting will have a height that is not appropriate for their age. This problem can have long-term effects on the physical and cognitive development of children, which affects their quality of life in the future. The general objective of this study is to determine the determinants of stunting: a review of exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding. The research design used in this study is case control. The study was conducted in the Mangulewa Health Center Working Area, Golewa Barat Subdistrict, Ngada District. The study was conducted in January 2024. The population in this study consisted of all toddlers in Golewa Barat Subdistrict, totaling 654 toddlers, with 136 stunted toddlers and 518 non-stunted toddlers. The sample size was 104, consisting of 52 case samples and 52 control samples. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with the Simple Random Sampling method. The research instrument used was a research questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods. The results of the study indicate a relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding (p-value: 0.025) and MP ASI (p-value: 0.044) with stunting. It is recommended that mothers of toddlers increase their children's intake of animal protein by modifying animal protein foods into forms and flavors that children prefer, so that children are more interested and do not get bored with the side dishes provided. Since the introduction of complementary foods at 6 months of age, it is important to introduce a variety of animal protein sources to toddlers. Keywords: Exclusive breastfeeding, toddlers, stunting.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to: (1) analyze the form of legal protection for clothing design rights holders under Law Number 31 of 2000 concerning Industrial Design; (2) identify obstacles in the legal protection process; and (3) formulate efforts to overcome these obstacles. This research employs a normative legal method, with secondary data sources consisting of literature related to intellectual property, industrial design, and statutory regulations. The results indicate that legal protection is provided through preventive measures-by registering industrial designs with novelty elements-and repressive measures-by enforcing laws against infringements, either through litigation or alternative dispute resolution. Major obstacles include low public awareness, limited government socialization efforts, complicated registration bureaucracy, and relatively high registration fees. Improvement efforts involve revising the law, utilizing information technology for online registration, enhancing law enforcement capacity, and strengthening the role of both government and society in protecting industrial design rights. Keywords: Legal Protection, Industrial Design, Exclusive Right.

Abstract

Abstract: Based on global data, approximately 11 million children under the age of 5 die each year, a very high number that highlights a major challenge in fulfilling children's health rights. The objective of this study is to determine the distance between health services and community leaders and immunization compliance. The research design used in this study is cross-sectional. The study was conducted at the Lelogama Community Health Center in September 2024. The study population consisted of all mothers with infants aged 9–24 months, totaling 219 individuals. The sample size was 70 individuals. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods. The results of the study showed a relationship between the distance to health services (p-value: 0.002) and community leader support (p-value: 0.044) with immunization compliance. It is recommended that the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) improve the compliance rate of mothers in bringing their infants to the Posyandu by increasing mothers' knowledge through socialization by local Posyandu cadres about the importance of the Posyandu program, the benefits of Posyandu, and the consequences if mothers do not comply in bringing their infants to Posyandu. There needs to be collaboration between the Puskesmas and the local village authorities to regularly refresh the cadres' knowledge and provide rewards to active cadres. Keywords: Immunization, Distance, Community Leaders.

Abstract

Delays that occur on a project can delay time and cause cost losses. Delays in construction are said to be the completion of construction within meeting the work time targets exceeding those agreed upon by all parties. This research aims to determine the performance of building project work based on the results of management work delay analysis, evaluate the results of work delay analysis due to production on project work, and find out what factors are obstacles in project work. One method of controlling project costs and time is the evaluation variance at schedule method or what is usually called the EVAS method using the Microsoft Project application. Based on the evaluation results, data obtained on the duration of project work that had been carried out reached the 6th week, to be precise, 42 days, experiencing a setback of 1 day of work, for preliminary work, the duration of work was obtained with a status of 14 days "on schedule", for SMK3 cost work, the duration was 7 days with the status "on schedule", on the lower structure work the work duration was 35 days but experienced a delay of 1 day with the status "management late", on the 1st floor structure work the final duration was 15 days which should have been 14 days with a total slack of 0 days until the status was 'late production".Keywords: Project’s Delays, Buildings Project, Management’s Cause, Production’s Cause, EVAS Methods

Abstract

Abstract: Cervical cancer is one of the types of malignant tumors that develop in the cervix or uterine opening. This disease is quite dangerous because in its early stages, it often does not show clear clinical symptoms. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and cervical cancer prevention behavior in women of childbearing age. The research design used in this study was cross-sectional. The study was conducted in Candi Mulyo Village in September 2024. The population for this study was all women of reproductive age (WUS) in Candi Mulyo Village, totaling 48 individuals. The sample size was 35 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between the level of knowledge (p-value: 0.03) and cervical cancer prevention behavior among women of reproductive age. It is recommended that healthcare workers be more active in providing education about cervical cancer, including its symptoms, causes, and the importance of early detection, as well as expanding the scope of screening services and involving health cadres to reach groups of women of reproductive age who have difficulty accessing healthcare facilities. This will help increase knowledge about cervical cancer through regular health education and check-ups, as well as raise awareness of the importance of early detection of cervical cancer. Keywords: Cancer, Knowledge, Women of Childbearing Age.
