Abstract

Urban forests have a vital role in supporting the sustainability of urban development. This study aims to formulate a sustainable management model for Pasir Pengaraian Urban Forest using a mixed method approach. This study includes institutional analysis, identification of appropriate plant species, and development zoning mapping. A qualitative approach is used to examine institutional management and stakeholder participation, while a quantitative approach is used to evaluate ecological, social, and economic factors. The results of the study indicate that the management of Pasir Pengaraian Urban Forest requires integrated planning and development as well as strengthening of community participation-based management policies. In addition, optimization of the ecological, social, and economic functions of urban forests can be achieved through vegetation maintenance, management zoning, and periodic monitoring. This management model is expected to contribute to creating a better balance of urban ecosystems and strengthening the sustainability of regional development in Rokan Hulu Regency

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal actions that can be taken by creditors who are excluded from the final creditor's list and assess the legal consequences of a bankruptcy ruling if the Renvoi Procedure is granted. The research was conducted using a normative juridical approach through a literature study of primary and secondary legal materials, including Law No. 37 of 2004 on Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations, court decisions, and expert opinions. A qualitative analysis technique was employed to interpret the norms, legal principles, and settlement practices in bankruptcy proceedings. The research findings indicate that a delay in submitting a claim by a creditor results in the rejection of that claim by the curator, causing the creditor's rights to be disregarded in the distribution of the debtor's assets. The Renvoi Procedure, as a legal mechanism available, provides the creditor with an opportunity to file an objection so that the rejected claim can be reinstated, without altering the status of the bankruptcy ruling that is binding on all creditors. Therefore, this study concludes that the Renvoi Procedure is an effective tool to address injustice in bankruptcy processes while ensuring the protection of creditor rights.

Abstract

Generation Z's travel preferences are changing with an increasing interest in coffee shops as a place to sped leisure time. Coffee shops are no longer just a place to enjoy a drink, but have become a social space and part of the lifestyle. This study aims to understand the factors that influence the changes in generation Z's preferences in filling leisure time at coffee shops by using a descriptive qualitative method and a case study approach. The results show that this preference change is influenced by trends in social media, available facilities, popularity, strategic location, comfortable atmosphere, and interactive services. In addition, this demographic tends to choose productive activities that enhance their mental and emotional well-being. Young people adapt their needs and lifestyles to activities that provide a relaxing, entertaining, and pressure-free impression as part of their leisure time at coffee shops. The findings highlight the importance for the coffee shop industry to continue adapting to generation Z travel preferences to stay relevant and meet market demands.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine and analyze the influence of motivation on employee performance at PT. Wisma Seratus Sejahtera. (2) Determine and analyze the influence of career development on employee performance at PT. Wisma Seratus Sejahtera. (3) Determine and analyze the influence of motivation and career development on employee performance at PT. Wisma Seratus Sejahtera. This study uses a quantitative method with an associative research type, which tests the relationship between independent variables (motivation and career development) and dependent variables (employee performance). Based on this study, it is concluded that motivation has a positive influence on employee performance at PT. Wisma Seratus Sejahtera, but the influence is not significant. This means that although motivation can drive performance, other factors may be more dominant in determining employee work results. On the other hand, career development has been shown to have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. The better the company provides career development opportunities, the higher the performance achieved by employees. In addition, motivation and career development together have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. These two factors support each other in encouraging employees to achieve better performance. Overall, career development has a greater influence in improving employee performance compared to motivation alone.

Abstract

As a public servant, the government is obliged to provide services to the community, including service delivery. One of the essential public services the community requires is the provision of public transportation. Transportation is crucial in daily life, impacting the economic, social, health, and educational sectors. Surabaya, as one of the most densely populated cities in Indonesia, needs to provide public transportation services that facilitate accessibility to various sectors, especially education. The school bus service is specifically designed for students who are legally ineligible to drive, thus enabling them to reach school safely and efficiently. The School Bus in Surabaya is a public transportation service dedicated to students in support of the Save Our Student (SOS) program. This study employs a qualitative research method with a case study approach, aiming to provide an in-depth description of the school bus service in Surabaya. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses purposive sampling, where the researcher selects respondents most likely to provide relevant information on the discussed topic. The research findings indicate that the school bus service provided by the Surabaya City Transportation Department has not been effective in terms of target accuracy, goal achievement, and tangible changes. However, regarding program understanding and timeliness, the Surabaya City Transportation Department has provided good service to students, such as through socialization and the regularity of responsible staff. Therefore, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of the school bus service in Surabaya is not yet optimal.

Abstract

Socioeconomic inequality in Indonesia is still a major factor affecting people's access to health services, including in the BPJS Kesehatan system. Although BPJS aims to provide universal health insurance, limited collaborating health facilities, different service quality compared to the private sector, and administrative and regulatory constraints often hinder participants from getting optimal care. The impact of these limitations can be seen in the quality of services received by BPJS patients, such as long queues, delays in medical treatment, and limited medicines covered. To overcome this problem, comprehensive policy reform is needed, including increasing the number of health facilities that accept BPJS, simplifying the referral system, and increasing budget allocation to improve service quality. With these strategic steps, BPJS is expected to become a more inclusive, efficient health insurance system that can provide equitable health services for all Indonesian people.

Abstract

Environmental pollution caused by the accumulation of plastic waste, which is difficult to recycle, is a growing concern. Le Minerale offers bottled drinking water made from Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), which, in addition to being free of BPA, is also highly recyclable. Furthermore, Le Minerale has been subjected to a black campaign from competitors in the market, particularly Aqua, the market leader in bottled water. This research seeks to investigate the effect of Product Knowledge and Brand Image on purchasing decisions for Le Minerale. A quantitative approach was used, employing an ordinal scale and Likert weighting technique, with a sample of 90 respondents. The study utilized a non-probability sampling method, specifically purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the PLS (Partial Least Square) program. The results reveal that both product knowledge and brand image have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions for Le Minerale.

Abstract

A large number of private vehicles and limited parking space is one of the traffic problems that cause the emergence of illegal parking spots and vehicles placed haphazardly on the road shoulders and sidewalks, which has an impact on traffic density. The Surabaya City Government, through the Department of Transportation, is presenting an innovation in the form of the Joyoboyo Intermodal Terminal Park and Ride as a form of providing parking space outside the road shoulder and inviting people to switch to using public transportation. This research aims to analyze the application of dynamic governance in the Joyoboyo Intermodal Terminal Park and Ride public services. The research method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach. Researchers used data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The focus of this research uses dynamic governance theory according to Neo Chen (2007) which includes elements of culture, capabilities, and change. Informants in this study were selected purposively and through snowball sampling. The research results show that public services at the Joyoboyo Intermodal Terminal Park and Ride have implemented the concept of dynamic governance in the elements of culture (aspects of relevance and prudence), capabilities (aspects of thinking ahead and thinking again), and change. However, the Transportation Department does not yet have regulations governing the terms of use of the Joyoboyo Intermodal Terminal Park and Ride, so there are often deviations in function by users which can hinder the purpose of building the building

Abstract

This article aims to examine and analyze the phenomenon of prostitution services and evaluate the effectiveness of criminalizing users of prostitution services in reducing current prostitution practices. The article is written using a legal, empirical, and comparative approach, with data based on secondary sources. The analysis results indicate that prostitution can be fundamentally interpreted as the commercialization of sexual relationships, where an individual provides sexual services to another in exchange for money. In the present era, many studies emphasize the significant meaning of criminalizing users of prostitution services, as exemplified by the measures taken in Sweden. However, despite Sweden's attempt to criminalize by imposing fines on users of prostitution services, the practice of prostitution persists. Criminalization can lead to new issues, such as the emergence of human trafficking practices and an increase in the spread of HIV due to inadequate supervision of covert prostitution practices.
