Abstract

Market anomaly is a deviation that occurs in the capital market. The existence of market anomalies (irregularities) then forms one of the phenomena that disrupts the efficient capital market hypothesis theory. This market anomaly rejects the hypothesis of the capital market efficiency concept which states that investors cannot predict prices and rates of return based on past stock prices due to random returns, but can be predicted based on the influence of the calendar or a certain period. So that this seasonal anomaly can be utilized by investors to obtain high abnormal returns. This study was conducted to test the effect of the Monday Effect and Ramadhan Effect phenomena on the returns of companies that apply the ESG concept in Indonesia for the period 2024. The sampling technique used in this study uses NonProbability Sampling, namely quota sampling. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis show that there is no Monday Effect and Ramadhan Effect phenomenon in Indonesia in 2024. So the Monday Effect and Ramadhan Effect phenomena do not affect the returns of companies that apply the ESG concept in Indonesia

Abstract

The development of live streaming activities on e-commerce platforms has changed the way consumers make purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the effect of live streaming, brand image, and product quality on purchasing decisions on Bromen products in Surabaya. This study used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 105 respondents and analyzing them using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results showed that live streaming and product quality had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while brand image had no significant effect. This finding indicates that aspects of live interactivity and product quality are more decisive than perceptions of brand image in shaping purchasing decisions in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the experiences of nurse anesthetists in maintaining patient safety in operating rooms with high workloads. A qualitative descriptive approach with a phenomenological approach was used to explore the subjective meaning of nurse anesthetists towards their work challenges. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with ten nurse anesthetists in a general hospital with a minimum work experience criterion of two years. The results of the study identified five main themes, namely: (1) high workload characterized by high volume of operations and limited rest time, (2) the impact of workload on physical and psychological conditions and patient safety, (3) adaptation strategies such as time management, spiritual approaches, and team communication, (4) preparedness in dealing with emergency situations, and (5) the need for institutional support from hospital management. Senior nurses tend to rely more on experience, spirituality, and emotional control, while junior nurses need more supervision and advanced training. The conclusion of this study shows that high workload significantly affects the work performance and well-being of anesthesia nurses. Individual coping strategies and institutional support are key to maintaining patient safety and maintaining anesthesia nurse addiction in a high-intensity work environment. This study provides an important contribution to more humanistic hospital policies and supports frontline health workers.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze innovative strategies for collecting Third Party Funds (DPK) to enhance liquidity at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KC Pematangsiantar Perintis. Using a qualitative approach and a case study method, this study explores various strategies, including incentive programs such as Pesta Hadiah and Rezeki Berkah, which have proven effective in attracting and retaining customer funds. Digitalization also plays a key role through the development of the BSI Mobile (BYOND) application, QRIS promotion, and the provision of EDC machines to support non-cash transactions. Additionally, the financial inclusion strategy through the expansion of the BSI Smart Agent (BSA) network has helped reach customers in remote areas. The findings indicate that the combination of incentive strategies, digital services, and financial inclusion positively contributes to deposit growth and liquidity stability. Despite challenges such as limited customer trust in digital systems and constraints in equipment procurement, these innovative approaches have strengthened BSI’s position in the Islamic banking industry. Therefore, this strategy can serve as a model for other Islamic banks in optimizing liquidity management and improving competitiveness within the Islamic financial sector.

Abstract

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in ship route management is increasingly gaining attention in the shipping industry as a solution to improve operational efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. The maritime industry faces major challenges related to high operational costs and significant carbon emissions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of AI in optimizing ship navigation to reduce fuel consumption. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental approach and case studies, where data is collected through direct observation, interviews with ship operational managers, and analysis of documents related to fuel consumption before and after the application of AI. The results show that ships using AI experience a reduction in fuel consumption of 15-25% compared to conventional methods. Multiple linear regression analysis reveals that ship speed, ocean currents, and the selected route contribute significantly to fuel efficiency. Although the application of AI provides economic and environmental benefits, there are several challenges, such as high initial investment costs, limited digital infrastructure in some waters, and resistance of ship crews to new technologies. Therefore, this study recommends improving digital infrastructure, collaboration between shipping companies and governments, and training for ship crews to increase the adoption of AI in the maritime sector. With the right strategy, AI has the potential to be a key solution in creating a more efficient and sustainable shipping industry.

Abstract

This article analyses digital activism that rejects non-binary gender identities on Social Media Platform X, considering how online activity can reshape social norms and traditional values in Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative methodology with a virtual ethnographic approach to observe and analyse the behaviour and interactions of social media users concerning non-binary gender issues. Data were collected through post analysis and direct observation of user tweets that formed part of ongoing online discussions. The research provides insight into how non-binary narratives are widely rejected. Findings reveal that digital activism opposing non-binary gender identities often relies on narratives rooted in traditional and religious values, reflecting a broader disapproval of non-binary gender recognition. Social media serves as a catalyst for high engagement and further reinforces the polarisation of these views.
