Abstract

Media pemeblajaran merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Dimana media sangat membantu proses pembelajaran akan semakin efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan media Canva dan Quick Response Code pada pembelajaran dan bagaimana efektivitas penggunaan media Canva dan Quick Response Code pada pembelajaran. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada Mata Kuliah Materi dan Pembelajaran Fiqih Madrasah Program Studi PAI IAIN Curup angkatan 2020. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti memaparkan apa adanya terkait dengan efektivitas penggunaan media Canva dan Quick Response Code pada Mata Kuliah Materi dan Pembelajaran Fiqih Madrasah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Prodi PAI lokal E Angakatan 2020. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi partisipan, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data berupa reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan; Pertama pengunaan media Canva dan Quick Response Code pada Mata Kuliah Materi dan Pembelajaran Fikih Madrsah di gunakan selama satu semester dan bergantian dengan penggunaan media yang lainya, untuk awal-awal mahasiswa cukup bingung dalam pengunaanya, tetapi dengan peran dosen yang baik seiring dengan berjalanya waktu mahasiswa terbiasa dan bisa menggunakan media Canva dan Quick Response Code ini dengan baik. Kedua, efektivitas penggunaan media Canva dan Quick Response Code pada Mata Kuliah Materii dan Pembelajaran Fiqih Madrasah sangat efektif di gunakan, indikasinya mahasiswa termotivasi mengikuti pembelajaran, mahasiswa mudah memahami materi,pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan suasana kelas menjadi kondusif.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah pada penelitian ini fokus pada penerapan kurikulum merdeka belajar pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP N 2 Padangsidimpuan. Dengan pergantian kurikulum yang diterapkan pada setiap satuan pendidikan setelah penerapan kurikulum 2013, Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan meluncurkan kurikulum baru yaitu Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Kemendikbud, pada sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa penerapan kurikulum ini bertujuan untuk menyederhanakan kelengkapan administrasi guru dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Namun realitanya, ada dampak negatif yang ditemukan di lapangan dalam penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka belajar ini yaitu pada penerapan RPP Efektif, Efisien dan Berorientasi pada siswa dalam proses pembelajran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah di atas maka peneliti merumuskan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu Bagaimana penerapan kurikulum Merdeka belajar pada kebijakan penerapan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran RPP efektif, efisien dan berorientasi pada siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan dan Apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat penerapan kurikulum mereka belajar pada kebijakan penerapan RPP efektif, efisien dan berorientasi pada siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif deskriptif yaitu dengan melakukan reduksi data penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil temuan pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan kurikulum Merdeka belajar pada kebijakan penerapan RPP efektif, efisien dan berorientasi pada siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan yaitu dapat dikatakan baik. Akan tetapi, sebagian dari guru masih ada yang merasa kewalahan pada persiapan perangkat pembelajaran (RPP). Kebijakan pada penerapan kurikulum Merdeka belajar ini yaitu dengan melaksanakan pelatihan dan bimbingan terhadap guru sehingga guru lebih mudah dalam menerapkan berbagai komponen Kurikulum Merdeka belajar. Adapun faktor pendukung dan penghambat penerapan kurikulum Merdeka belajar pada perencanaan perangkat pembelajaran pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di sekolah menengah pertama SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan yang ditemukan penulis di lapangan yaitu kebijakan kepala sekolah, kompetensi guru, kreativitas peserta didik, dan ketersediaan fasilitas belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of management education on building resilient communities through the community service initiative involving international students. The research utilizes a qualitative approach, incorporating a case study design. The study involved interviews with educators, community leaders, and program participants. The main participants included international students participating in the cultural immersion program and members of UKI Toraja who engaged with these students. Participants were selected through purposive sampling, focusing on individuals who were actively involved in the program. Five international students and five members of the Management Study Program at UKI Toraja were chosen to provide a variety of perspectives and experiences, ensuring the study represented diverse viewpoints. In-depth, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the selected international students and UKI Toraja Management Study Program members . The data gathered from interviews and participant observations were transcribed and analyzed through thematic analysis. This approach involved coding the data to uncover recurring themes, patterns, and key narratives related to cultural exchange, learning outcomes, and community impact. The result of this study shows that the impact of management education on building resilient communities through the community service initiative involving international students namely Mutual Learning and Exchange and Increased Social Cohesion.

Abstract

This study explores the role of cultural immersion programs conducted by the Tourism Study Program at UKI Toraja in promoting Toraja tourism. This study employs a qualitative research design, focusing on an in-depth exploration of the experiences of international students who participated in cultural immersion programs in Toraja. A case study methodology was chosen to provide a detailed examination of a specific instance of cultural immersion, making it possible to identify the key elements that contribute to its effectiveness in promoting tourism. The study involves international students who participated in cultural immersion programs organized by the Tourism Study Program at UKI Toraja. Participants were selected through purposive sampling to ensure that those included in the study had direct and substantial experiences with Toraja culture. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with both international students and local community member. The researcher engaged in participant observation during several cultural immersion activities, including traditional ceremonies, community events, and daily interactions between students and local residents. The data collected from interviews and observations were analyzed using thematic analysis. The study results confirm that the cultural immersion programs conducted by the Tourism Study Program at UKI Toraja play a significant role in promoting Toraja tourism by enhancing cultural understanding and intercultural competence, fostering personal and academic growth, and positioning students as cultural ambassadors.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of cultural immersion on the development and implementation of digital solutions in rural Toraja. This study adopts a qualitative research design to explore the impact of digital solutions on empowering rural communities within the context of a cultural immersion initiative. The study employs a case study method, focusing on a specific rural community in Toraja, Indonesia, where international students from the Educational Technology Study Program of UKI Toraja were engaged. The participants in this study included international students enrolled in the Educational Technology Study Program at UKI Toraja, faculty members who facilitated the immersion program, and members of the rural community in Toraja where the immersion took place. The international students were selected based on their participation in the program, while community members were chosen to reflect a diverse range of ages, occupations, and involvement in local cultural practices. In total, 20 international students, 5 faculty members, and 15 community members participated in this study. Data collection was conducted over a three-week period during the cultural immersion program. The primary data collection methods included participant observation and in-depth interviews. The data collected were analyzed using thematic analysis. The study result confirms that the impact of cultural immersion on the development and implementation of digital solutions in rural Toraja are lays on empowerment through digital literacy and cultural sensitivity and adaptation.

Abstract

The Electrical Engineering Service Initiatives at UKI Toraja represent a vital intersection of education and community empowerment. This program, conducted from June to July 2024, engaged both local and international students in hands-on workshops addressing electrical systems, renewable energy, and safety protocols. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the initiative evaluated participant knowledge and satisfaction through surveys and collaborative projects, such as solar panel installations and electrical safety demonstrations. Results indicated a significant increase in student confidence and community understanding of electrical safety, with confidence in engineering principles rising from 45% to 85% among participants. Feedback from community members highlighted improved knowledge of energy efficiency, reinforcing the initiative's impact on community resilience. These findings underscore the importance of experiential learning and cultural exchange in engineering education, promoting not only technical skill development but also stronger community ties and social responsibility. Future efforts should prioritize expanding outreach and innovative educational methodologies to deepen these impacts.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how interfaith dialogue and cultural engagement within a community service framework can enhance mutual understanding, foster empathy, and build stronger relationships between international students and local community members. This study applied the qualitative study. This qualitative study employs an interpretive phenomenological approach to explore the lived experiences of international students and local community members involved in the community service initiative. Participants are selected to provide a rich, diverse perspective on the community service initiative: international students, local community members, and faculty and program coordinators. Purposeful sampling is used to select students who have actively participated in various aspects of the initiative, ensuring a range of experiences and viewpoints are represented. Data collection involves multiple qualitative methods to capture a comprehensive view of participants' experiences by using semi-structured interviews and participant observations. Data analysis follows a systematic process to identify and interpret key themes and patterns. Thematic analysis is used to identify, analyze, and report themes within the qualitative data. The study shows that interfaith dialogue and cultural engagement within a community service framework are effective in enhancing understanding, fostering empathy, and building stronger relationships across diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. The initiative has proven to be a valuable model for promoting cohesion and unity in a multicultural setting.

Abstract

Connecting Cultures: IT Community Service by UKI Toraja for International Students. This was achieved through the use of cutting edge science and technology, enabling smooth communication could take place between the UKI Toraja community with international students. The project was approached using diverse techniques, adopting digital communication and collaboration tools as an ad hoc solution to interactive learning platforms, multimedia content creation resources along with data visualization of large corpora. Over the four months of community members participating in this program, 21 international school students participated with many noting improved levels and that they felt like a part of their new local home. This work shows innovation is successful in using technology-based solutions to create inclusive, supportive environments for our diverse students.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of ethnopedagogy in mathematics education at Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) Toraja, focusing on its impact on international students. Ethnopedagogy, which integrates cultural contexts and values into teaching practices, aims to create a more inclusive and relevant learning environment. This research explores how UKI Toraja incorporates ethnopedagogical principles into its mathematics curriculum to support international students from diverse cultural backgrounds.The research examines various strategies employed by UKI Toraja, such as contextualizing mathematical problems with local cultural references, adapting teaching materials to reflect the diverse cultural experiences of international students, and utilizing collaborative learning approaches that respect and incorporate students' cultural perspectives. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys, interviews, and classroom observations, the study assesses the effectiveness of these ethnopedagogical strategies in enhancing student engagement, understanding, and academic performance.Ethnopedagogical approaches significantly improve international students' mathematical learning experiences by making content more relatable and engaging. The study also highlights the challenges faced in implementing these strategies, such as the need for continuous professional development for educators and the importance of developing culturally responsive resources.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the use of simple teaching aids on the learning motivation of grade X students of SMK Harapan Kristen Rantepao. In this study, the method used was an experimental method with a quasi-experimental research design of a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study is students of class X Tab B and X Tab H of SMK Harapan Kristen Rantepao. The instruments used in this study are test and questionnaire instruments. Data analysis technique using SPSS 21.The results of the study showed that the use of teaching aids as a learning medium could increase the motivation to learn physics of grade X students of Harapan Rantepao Christian Vocational School on business and energy materials. This can be seen in the experimental class from an increase in the average pretest result of 28.36 to 81.00 in the posttest. In the control class, the average increase in pretest test results of 27.73 increased to 76.36 in the posttest. Meanwhile, in the t-test, the sig value (2-tailed) was 0.005 < 0.05. These results show that there is a difference in student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class.
