Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between product suitability uncertainty, product quality uncertainty, and perceived risk in influencing consumer avoidance of new cosmetic products on e-commerce platforms. The method used is a quantitative approach with data collection through an online questionnaire using the T-Survey platform. The research sample consisted of 220 respondents who met the criteria of having purchased or intending to purchase new cosmetic products through e-commerce. Data was analyzed using the SEM method in the SmartPLS application. The results indicate that uncertainty regarding product suitability and uncertainty regarding product quality have a positive and significant influence on perceived risk and consumer avoidance. However, the influence of perceived risk on consumer avoidance was found to be insignificant. This finding indicates that in the context of online purchases, uncertainty about product information is more likely to drive consumers to avoid products than the perception of risk itself.

Abstract

Amidst the rapid growth of the Indonesian capital market, low digital financial literacy and the widespread influence of financial social media pose significant risks for Millennial and Gen Z investors. This study analyzes the influence of digital financial literacy and herding behavior on investment decisions, with financial influencers as a moderating variable. A quantitative method using SEM-PLS analysis was conducted with 327 Indonesian millennial and Gen Z investors as respondents. The results show that digital financial literacy has a significant positive influence, while herding behavior is insignificant on investment decisions. Financial influencers were found to strengthen the influence of herding behavior on investment decisions, but did not moderate the relationship between digital financial literacy and investment decisions. The findings suggest that improving digital financial literacy is crucial for rational investment, while the role of influencers in strengthening herding behavior still requires regulatory oversight.

Abstract

This research investigates the primary factors affecting consumers’ intention to adopt electric vehicles (EVs) in the Jabodetabek region of Indonesia. This research analyzed data from 188 participants using a quantitative method through PLS-SEM. The model integrates the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), the Perceived Value (PERVAL) framework, and several contextual factors. The results show that perceived quality and price value significantly affect attitudes, while charging station availability and resale value directly influence adoption intention. Interestingly, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control were not significant predictors. The findings suggest that in emerging markets, practical and economic concerns outweigh psychological or emotional drivers. These insights offer guidance for policymakers and businesses to focus on infrastructure development and value-enhancing strategies to accelerate EV adoption.

Abstract

This study investigates the internal and external determinants of profitability in Indonesian Rural Banks (BPR), with credit risk acting as a mediating variable. Internal factors include capital adequacy, bank size, operational efficiency, and credit distribution, while external factors comprise inflation and interest rates. The study utilizes a panel data regression method, covering 23 conventional BPRs operating in West and Central Kalimantan from 2019 to 2023. The findings reveal that capital adequacy negatively affects profitability, whereas operational efficiency and credit distribution exert positive influences. However, excessive credit expansion leads to rising non-performing loans (NPL), which subsequently diminish profitability. Interest rates and inflation have no significant impact. This research contributes to the literature by empirically confirming the mediating role of credit risk in rural bank performance and offers strategic insights for policymakers and rural bank managers to strengthen financial sustainability.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of leadership and a sense of community on employee performance, with employee engagement as a mediator at the Malang Regency Tourism and Culture Office. SEM-PLS was used as the analysis tool, with 42 civil servants selected as respondents through purposive sampling. The results showed that leadership had a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance. However, leadership and a sense of community both had a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. Importantly, a sense of community also had a direct positive and significant effect on employee performance, indicating that a strong sense of community can improve performance. Furthermore, employee engagement was shown to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Therefore, strengthening togetherness within an organization is an effective strategy to improve employee engagement and performance.

Abstract

The study analyzes the influence of infrastructure and the Regional Competitiveness Index (IDSD) on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 13 districts/cities in Central Java Province for the period 2018–2024. The variables analyzed include GRDP as the dependent variable, as well as the number of schools, road length, hospital number, public transportation, market number, and IDSD as independent variables. The research method uses multiple linear regression with panel data, which combines a seven-year time series and cross-section in 13 districts/cities. The results show that infrastructure and IDSD simultaneously have a significant effect on GRDP. Partially, the number of schools, hospitals, and public transportation have a significant positive effect, while the number of markets, road length, and IDSD are not significant. This condition is assumed to be due to the quality of markets and roads not optimally driving regional productivity. These findings provide important insights for the equitable distribution of regional economic contributions.

Abstract

MSMEs in Madiun City and Regency receive excellent attention and support, but still experience the phenomenon of "opening" and "closing." This study aims to analyze the influence of planning strategies, government support, innovation management, and business sustainability regarding this phenomenon. This quantitative research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 347 MSMEs located in Madiun City and Regency. The analysis technique used multiple linear regression with the SmartPLS 4 program. The results showed that partially, planning strategies had no effect on MSME sustainability, but government support and innovation management were proven to influence this condition. Simultaneously, all three were proven to influence MSME sustainability. Based on these findings, MSMEs are recommended to carry out sustainable innovations that can attract the public, whether in the form of product innovation, service innovation, management innovation, or marketing innovation.

Abstract

The K Index, which serves as the basis for revenue sharing between palm oil mills and smallholders, still exhibits monthly fluctuations that should not theoretically occur. This condition highlights the need for a more consistent, standardized, and user-friendly K Index calculation system supported by digital applications. This study aims to develop and validate the K-SMARD application as an information system for the automated calculation and reporting of the K Index. System development employed the waterfall model, while testing used real K Index data from palm oil mills and was evaluated using a comparative statistical approach against the conventional Excel-based method. The results show that K-SMARD produces accurate and consistent K Index values with no significant differences, while improving efficiency and reporting reliability.
