Abstract

Demam adalah peningkatan suhu tubuh diatas normal (98,6oF/ 37oC). Demam merupakan respon fisiologis tubuh terhadap penyakit yang di perantarai oleh sitokin dan ditandai dengan peningkatan suhu pusat tubuh dan aktivitas kompleks imun. Untuk mengatasi keluhan demam, diberikan obat obat antipiretik. Daun pepaya, dipercaya mempunyai efek antipiretik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji aktivitas antipiretik dan menentukan kadar flavonoid total ekstrak etanol daun pepaya. Hewan uji dikelompokkan menjadi 5 kelompok yang terdiri dari kelompok kontrol demam, kontrol obat ibuprofen 18 mg/KgBB, ekstrak daun papaya (EDP) dosis 100 mg/KgBB, 200 mg/KgBB, dan 400 mg/KgBB. Hewan uji tikus jantan galur Wistar diinduksi demam dengan vaksin DPT-Hb 0.2 mL secara subkutan. Perlakuan diberikan setelah hewan uji mengalami demam, dilihat dari kenaikan suhu rectal. Suhu tubuh hewan uji diamati setiap 30 menit. Uji kandungan flavonoid total dilakukan untuk mengetahui kadar flavonoid total. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun papaya dosis 100 mg/KgBB, 200 mg/KgBB, dan 400 mg/KgBB mempunyai aktivitas antipiretik pada tikus jantan galur wistar yang diinduksi vaksin DPT-Hb. Aktifitas antipiretik dari ketiga dosis tidak berbeda secara signifikan dengan kontrol ibuprofen.

Abstract

Intravenous admixtures is a process of admixtures sterile drugs with sterile intravenous solutions to produce a sterile preparation aimed at intravenous use. The scope of intravenous admixtures is to dissolve or reconstitute sterile powders, prepare simple intravenous injections, and prepare complex intravenous injections. Identification and evaluation of incompatibility events in the drug dispensing stage in the hospital aims to determine incompatibility events, know the prescription patterns of intravenous preparations, know the process of drug dispensing, determine the effect of pharmacist ability on incompatibility events, find out the incompatibility with outcome therapy, and incidence of incompatibility on antibiotic use. This research needs to be done because incompatibility is a high risk problem in a hospital. The study used experimental studies, namely to provide an understanding of the effect of quantitative incompatibility and observational studies to determine the incidence of antibiotic incompatibility. The samples used were inpatients in the hospital, excluding hemodialysis patients and labor patients. Data retrieval is done retrospectively, to obtain qualitative data and prospectively, to obtain quantitative data. The results of this study obtained the greatest antibiotic use was Ceftriaxone with NaCl solvents. Incompatibility occurring at 19.5% includes chemical and physics incompatibility. This study concluded that there was no significant relationship between the use of antibiotics and the incidence of incompatibility.

Abstract

Infectious diseases are still one of the important public health problems to be considered especially in developing countries. Mangosteen leaf (Garcinia mangostana L.) is a well-known plant that is useful as an antioxidant, antibacterial and anticancer. This study aims to determine the chemical content and antibacterial activity of ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate and water of mangosteen leaves (Garcinia mangostana L.) on Staphylococcus aureus by diffusion and dilution Mangosteen leaves were extracted by maceration using 96% ethanol then continued by fractionation using a liquid-liquid extraction method. Antibacterial activity was then tested using disc diffusion method with a concentration of 12.5%, 25% and 50%. Positive control used was ciprofloxacin 5μg / disk and negative control of 5% Tween 80. Dilution test was carried out on the most active extract by looking at the MIC and MBC. Identification of compound groups can be done using Thin Layer Chromatography method. The results of antibacterial activity testing showed that the diameter of the largest inhibitory zone in Staphylococcus aureus bacteria was found in the water fraction of mangosteen leaves at 50% concentration with inhibition zone diameter (10 mm). The results of the minimum MIC inhibitory level and the minimum suicide rate of MBC at a concentration of 12.5%. The TLC test results showed that in the extracts and fractions of mangosteen leaves contained flavonoids, saponins and steroids

Abstract

Pemangkat Public Hospital as the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) needs to make measurements of achievements as regards to indicators of Hosptal Minimum Service Standard that has been determined. This study aims to find out the implementation description of Hospital Minimum Service Standards in Pharmaceutical Installation of Pemangkat Public Hospital, include waiting time of drug service, the absence of error occurrence of drug delivery, customer satisfaction and the compatibility prescription according to the formularium. This study is a non experimental descriptive study with qualitative and quantitative approach. The data obtained from the observation and interview with the Head of Pharmaceutical Installation, employees, doctors and questionnaires to the outpatient. The study was conducted in December 2016. The results showed that the waiting time of drug services, the absence of error occurrence of drug delivery, and the level of customer satisfaction on pharmacy service was compatible with the standard, however the compatibility prescription according to formularium was not reached the standard.

Abstract

Antioxidants are contained in various types of fruits and vegetables. One of them is tomato (Lycopersicumesculentum Mill). Tomato has lycopene, flavonoids and vitamin C as antioxidants. Tomato can be made into fruit juice using the pressing method. Tomato extracts can be made in pharmaceuticals in the form of hand and body lotion (H&B lotion). The aim of this study is to recognize the physical characteristics and stability of mechanical H&B fruit extracts and to know the antioxidant activity.The free variable in this study is the concentration of fruit juice as active as 20%, 35%, and 50%. The binding variable from this study is the physical characteristics of the tomato juice extract, which is bioleptic, pH, viscosity, emulsion type, mechanical stability lotion and activity of antioxidant. The data obtained from the research results are compared with those in the literature whose relevance to statistical analysis between 95% trusts.The results of the research for physical characteristic show that concentrated fruit extract were not affected by the physical equipment of H&B lotion. The results for stability of mechanical H&Blotion fruit extracts test show that all the formulations had the phase separation. The test also shows that H&Blotion of Tomato had an activity of oxidation with IC50 value in formula I 5.697 μg/mL, formula II 6,530 μg/mL, and formula III 5,106 μg/mL.

Abstract

Talasemia is a genetic disease that causes globin chain synthesis disorder, a major component of the hemoglobin molecule. With the synthesis of unbalanced globin chains will decrease the production of red blood cells. This study aims to determine the presence of mutations in exon 2 gene beta globin thalassemia patients using PCR method, where 5 samples in DNA isolation and continued PCR amplification, the amplification result of electrophoresis region 2 beta globin gene Region II is the result of amplification of primary 4 and primer primer reverse 5 with a target of 350 bp, on PCR there is amplification or doubling of the desired DNA sequence based on the primary selection for the reaction, the PCR product of each of these regions which is subsequently performed by SSCP. PCR-SSCP could analysis the mutation in exon 3 beta globin genes. In the PCR-SSCP result, there was no mutation in region 4 exon 3 in five samples but probably there was mutation in another regions.

Abstract

Legetan warak (Adenostemma lavenia (L.) Kuntze) is a wild plant which has phenolic compounds and widely used as a natural antibacterial ingredient. The purpose of this study is to obtain the optimum condition of solvent concentration, microwave power and extraction time that appropriate with characteristic of phenolic compounds of leaf of Legetan warak. This experimental laboratory study developed a microwave asissted extraction method. The solvent concentrations which were tested are ethanol 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% and 90% in various extraction times, 1 minute, 3 minute, 5 minute and 9 minute. Meanwhile, the microwave powers which were used are 100 watt, 150 watt, 200 watt, 300 watt and 400 watt. The results showed that the optimum condition of microwave asissted extraction process of leaf of the Legetan warak used ethanol 80% as the solvent with the microwave power 200 watt and the extraction time 5 minute.

Abstract

IFRS is responsible for drug management, namely selection, planning and procurement, distribution and use. Preliminary observations indicate of drug management problems in IFRSUD Province NTB. The aim of the study was to evaluate of drug management in IFRSUD Province NTB. Descriptive research were taken retrospectively and concurrently. Data in the form of quantitative and qualitative, accompanied by interviews of related parties. All stages of drug management measured using the MOH RI indicator, Pudjaningsih, Permenkes and WHO then compared with the results of other studies. The results showed that the stage that did not meet the standards were: the stage of selection: conformity with the national formulary; procurement: percentage of available fund allocation, namely the frequency of incomplete SP / Invoice, percentage of available capital funds with the total needed, frequency of delay in payment by the hospital against the agreed time, the percentage of suitability between drug planning and the reality of each drug; distribution, the accuracy of the amount of drug data on the automatic stock card, Turn Over Ratio, percentage and value of drugs that were damaged / expired, percentage of dead stock; usage: number of drug items per recipe, percentage of antibiotic, and percentage of prescription injection drugs. The results are in accordance with the standards, the stage of selection suitability with hospital formulary; procurement: frequency of procurement of each drug item per year; distribution: namely drug availability level; use, percentage of prescription with a generic name, percentage of drugs that can submitted, percentage of drug that label, and the average time spent serving recipes

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hypertension is widely known as cardiovascular disease and is one of the risk factors for chronic renal failure. People with hypertension with kidney disorders occupy the highest incidence rate (35%) compared to hypertension which causes complications in other organs. CRF is a clinical condition characterized by irreversible decline in kidney function. Giving more than one antihypertensive drug can lead to drug interactions (Fitriani, 2007). Research Rahmawati et al. (2006) about a retrospective study of drug interactions in the education hospital of dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta reports that drug interactions that occur in hospitalized patients are 59%. Inpatients found 125 occurrences of drug interactions. The most common antihypertensive drug interactions are a combination of captopril and furosemide. The aim of this study is to describe the antihypertensive treatment in hypertensive patients with CDK along with the therapeutic relevance in terms of the right indication, the right patient, the right dose and the right drug based on JNC VIII. And other studies aim to examine the potential for drug interactions in antihypertensive therapy. The research method used is a type of descriptive research that is non-experimental, data taken retrospectively. The sample of this study were patients diagnosed with hypertension with complications who received combination antihypertensive therapy that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the first study showed that the most widely used antihypertensive drugs by patients were loop diuretics, namely furosemide (9.23%). The category of drug accuracy according to JNC VIII was obtained for indication therapy (100%), right for the patient (100%), right for the drug (78.5%) for the right dose (98.46%). The results of the second study showed 31 patients (81.58%) had drug interactions and 7 patients (18.42%) did not experience drug interactions. Of the total 31 patients the potential for the most frequent interactions was moderate 120 (53.6%). Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is still a growing global problem every year. TB disease is one of the 10 diseases that cause death worldwide (WHO, 2017). The design of this study is a qualitative observation with a prospective cross sectional design approach. The research was conducted at Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital, Semarang, from February to the desired sample size. From the subjects of tuberculosis patients with 92 patients. The number of patients experiencing ROTD with a dubious category was 56 patients (60.9%), in patients who experienced ROTD events with a possible category of 32 patients (34.8%), and in patients with ROTD with a category of probable 4 patients (4.3%). There is a significant relationship between age and ROTD incidence of a significance value of 0,000 and a significant relationship between sexes with ROTD incidence with a significance value of 0,000.
