Abstract

Binomial negative regression is able to handle poisson regression problem with underdispersion assumption. When the data has hierarchy and level that need to be calculated, regression is no longer appropriate to solve this problem, therefore binomial negative regression is used. To solve multilevel binomial negative regression modeling, several steps need to be fulfill: poisson assumption test and underdispersion assumption test, parameter estimation with expectation-maximization algorithm, variance components estimation, feasibility test with likelihood ratio test, significance parameter test with wald test and determining the best model. This research modeled the numbers of neonatal death in district as cluster 1 and small public health center as cluster 2, in the correlation with the number of visit on trimester 1 and 3, number of pregnant mother who have Tetanus Diphtheria vaccination, assumed number of neonatal babies with complication disease, numbers of babies who got Hepatitis B vaccination less than 24 hour, numbers of babies who got BCG vaccination and also number of visit neonatal 1 and 3.  The result shows that number of neonatal death is only affected by number of babies who had Hepatitis B vaccination less than 24 hour

Abstract

PDAM (Regional Water Supply Company) functions to serve the needs of many people's lives by providing quality water for the community. Based on Permenkes no. 492/menkes/per/iv/2010 clean water quality parameters, namely the feasibility of water used in daily life related to physical, chemical and microbiological parameters including Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), Cloride (Cl), and Nitrates (NO3). The aim of this research is to test the water quality of PDAMs in Jambi Province based on minimum quality standards for clean water Using Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) with the assumption. The method can be used to model the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable has regional influence. The results showed that the BOD values of all regions in Jambi province met except for Merangin, which was 2.1 mg/l with a threshold value of 2.0 mg/l. For other parameters, namely TDS, Cl and NO3, they meet the threshold values. Based on the results of the GWR model, the coefficient of  is 0.669 , this means that there is a relationship between TDS, Cl and NO3 to BOD and is positive.

Abstract

Lettuce plants are cool-season leaf vegetables, if grown in areas near the city center with high temperatures can reduce the quantity and quality of the yield. The low temperature in the root zone in the hydroponic system was the solution. This experiment aimed to determine the effect of nutrient solution temperature and variety on the growth and yield of lettuce plants in the nutrient film technique (NFT) system. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design with 6 treatments (a combination of solution temperatures 25, 16, and 10 ℃; Red and Green lettuce). The result showed no significant effect of the treatment on the number of leaves 0-20 days after planting (DAP) and root length. Nutrient solution temperature +10 ℃ gave the best response to the number of leaves (13.08 sheets), plant height (20.80 cm), root volume (18.88 mL), and fresh weight (137.08 g) of green lettuce plants.

Abstract

One of the ways perineal wounds can be cured is with good nutrition, especially those high in protein. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of boiled egg whites for perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers. This type of quantitative research uses a pre-experimental design with a one shot case study. The research was conducted at PMB Hj. Dewi Mulyati, S.ST in 2020-2021 with a population of postpartum women who experienced grade II perineal injuries and a sample of 15 people using an accidental sampling technique. The instrument uses an observation sheet and SOP for boiled egg whites. Univariate data analysis using distribution of central tendency in the form of mean, median, and standard deviation and bivariate data analysis using sample t-test showed the average perineal wound healing time after administration of boiled egg white. The results of this study were faster than in general, namely the healing time for perineal sutures lasted 6-10 days and no more than 14 days. It is hoped that health workers can practice and teach this technique to mothers to accelerate healing of perineal wounds and the results of this study can be an alternative innovation of natural treatment options.

Abstract

Dutch teak (Guazuma ulmifolia Lamk.) is a tree originating from Latin America (Brazil and Mexico). The results of the phytochemical test showed that Dutch teak leaves positively contained flavonoids, alkaloids (Dragendorff reagent), steroids, and saponins. The purpose of this study was to characterize the flavonoid compounds and test the anti-cholesterol properties of Dutch teak leaf extract. Flavonoid characterization methods used Mg-HCl (yellow), H2SO4 (reddish orange), NaOH (yellow), KKt-2A, UV-Vis, and FT-IR reagents. Anti-cholesterol test using the Lieberman-Burchard method. The flavonoid crystals obtained were in the form of amorphous crystals of 0.1047 grams. In KKt-2A there is a change in color from yellow to greenish yellow when viewed with a UV lamp. The UV-Vis spectrophotometer has an absorption wavelength of 326 nm. The results of FT-IR analysis showed the presence of functional groups: OH, CH, C=O, C=C, and COC. Based on these data it can be concluded that the isolated flavonoids are in the form of amorphous crystals which belong to the flavone class with the name 5,7,4' - Trihydroxyflavone-6-Prenyl. The results of the cholesterol reduction test stated that Dutch teak leaves could be anti-cholesterol as seen from the absorbance value being smaller and the percentage of anti-cholesterol activity being greater.

Abstract

Foreign invaders in the form of bacteria, fungi, or viruses can cause various diseases if they enter the body, both molecularly and cellularly. Hence, the body needs a compound that can maintain and enhance the immune and immune systems to recognize abnormal cells that can become a source of disease for the body. Improving immunity/resistance for people with diseases is very important so that people undergoing treatment are given immunostimulant drugs or pharmaceutical preparations. This study aimed to determine the protein network associated with the body's immune system, which was activated by the administration of citronella (Cymbopogon nardus). The research method used is explorative descriptive with in silico analysis using a computational model with software including KNApSAck, Dr. Duke, Pubchem, Swiss ADME, Swiss Target Prediction, Gene Cards, Venny, STRING, and KEGG. Based on the results of pharmacological network analysis, C. nardus contains 40 secondary metabolites, 25 of them have high bioavailability. Based on pharmacological network analysis, (-)-menthol is an important compound that plays a role in the immune system because it is expected to interact with three crucial pathways related to immunomodulators.

Abstract

Indonesia is a center of convection and acts as a driving force for global atmospheric circulation due to its geographical position. Moreover, Kototabang Hill is one of the national strategic areas in the equatorial atmospheric observation room with limited cloud cover data so that tools and development are needed to meet these data needs. Sky Camera for the purpose of observing clouds (Cloud Camera) is urgently needed to complement the need for cloud cover data to support observation and research activities in the field of the atmosphere. The Cloud Camera design is done by modifying the CCD Camera with several supporting devices including fish eye, solar tracker, sun filter and dome. Evaluation of the urgency of these enhancements is discussed in this paper. Among the four combinations of using supporting instruments (dome and sun filter) for the Cloud Camera device, the best image obtained is the device that uses a sun filter and without a dome. Among the four combinations of using supporting instruments (dome and sun filter) for the Cloud Camera device, the best image obtained is the device that uses a sun filter and without a dome.

Abstract

This paper proposes a mathematical model for cholera using optimal control of treatment through quarantine and water sanitation. Cholera is acute diarrhoea caused by Vibrio cholera bacteria infecting the intestinal tract. The analysis related to the spread of this disease is carried out through a mathematical approach. The constructed mathematical model is demonstrated epidemiologically. The proposed optimal control is the treatment of infected individuals during the quarantine period and sanitation, namely environmental hygiene, especially water. This strategy aims to suppress the number of infected individuals and reduce the concentration of bacteria due to cholera disease. To solve the optimal control problem, we employ the 4th-order forward-backward Runge-Kutta method. Based on the simulation results, the number of individuals infected by cholera and the concentration of bacteria decreased significantly. Moreover, the proposed method can transfer infected to recovered individuals faster than an optimal control treatment.
