Abstract

This research is entitled implementation of the montessori practical life skills method to develop fine motor skills in children in group a at the surya citra angkasa early childhood education center. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of Fine Motor Skills in Group A Children at Surya Citra Angkasa Preschool. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research with research subjects of group A PAUD child with a total of 10 children. This research was carried out in two cycles and in 1 cycle it was divided into 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of the pre-cycle research were only 30% completed, in cycle 1 it can be explained that children's fine motor skills developed by 70% and in cycle 2 it increased to 90% of 10 children, there were 2 children who obtained the criteria for developing according to expectations and 7 children obtained the criteria for developing very well and 1 child obtained the criteria for starting to develop. This shows that the application of the Montessori method in developing children's fine motor skills at Surya Citra Angkasa Preschool is very effective in developing children's motor skills. According to the researcher's observations, this method frees children to explore their environment, teaches independence, and various interesting activities such as experiments, demonstrations, and exercises of practical life. This allows children's motor development to progress rapidly, further stimulating and honing their fine motor skills.

Abstract

This research also aims to find out how much influence training using equipment has on butterfly swimming speed in Bina Tirta Swimming Club swimming athletes, to find out how much influence training without aids has on butterfly swimming speed in Bina Tirta Swimming Club athletes. club, and to find out which form of training has a greater influence between training using aids and without aids on butterfly swimming speed in Bina Tirta Swimming Club swimming athletes. This research is experimental research. The data collection technique uses a 50 meter butterfly swimming test. The subjects of this research were 20 Bina Tirta Swimming Club athletes who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. This research was carried out for 6 weeks, 18 meetings with a frequency of exercise carried out 3 times a week. The data analysis technique uses inferential statistics with the t test. The results of research on the hypothesis show that 1) data on swimming speed using treatment using assistive devices obtained a calculated t value of 7.489 so it has an influence. 2) swimming speed data using treatment without using assistive devices obtained a value of 9.725 so it has an influence. 3) The results of the parametric test on the independent sample T-Test, obtained a significance (2-tailed) of 0.712 > 0.05 (no significant effect), so it can be concluded that training using fins aids and paddles , did not have a better effect compared to training without aids on swimming speed of 50 meters butterfly style in Bina Tirta Swimming Club Medan athletes The conclusion of this research is that the results of data analysis, hypothesis testing and discussion show that training without using assistive devices provides a more significant increase compared to assistive equipment in the 50 meter butterfly swimming speed of Bina Tirta Swimming Club Medan swimming athletes.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a system that can provide classroom security, design and implement a student facial recognition system in classrooms. The development of a student counting system using IoT-based image classification methods makes it easier for lecturers and teachers to document student numbers. This research uses a campus or school classroom as the case study location.The devices used include a camera or webcam module as a face detection input device, a laptop to process the camera input, validate it against the class database, and perform the identification process (using the image classification library in the OpenCV application), and a laptop that functions as a web server to display the student count dashboard page. Test results show that the system can function properly when the distance between the camera and the student's face is between 30 cm and 170 cm, and cannot count at all at a distance of 180 cm.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly influenced students’ approaches to academic writing. completing features such as grammar correction, vocabulary enhancement, and idea generation, their ethical implications remain contested. This study explores students’ perspectives on the ethical use of AI in academic writing. By using qualitative design, data were collected through interview and FGD toward 10 undergraduate students from Sharia tourism department in IAIN Takengon.  After analyzing data using thematic analysis, The findings revealed nine key themes: (1) AI as a helpful support tool, (2) time efficiency and task completion, (3) enhancing creativity and expanding knowledge, (4) ease of task management, (5) concerns about academic integrity, (6) limited awareness of ethical guidelines, (7) the need for clear regulation and training, (8) dependence and overreliance risks, and (9) transparency and acknowledgment of AI use. These insights highlight both the potential benefits and ethical dilemmas students face when engaging with AI. The study contributes by recommending that policymakers establish clear regulations, provide systematic training, and promote transparency to ensure responsible and sustainable AI use in higher education.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to know and understand how the forms of verbal violence commited by parents against children and the conditions of children’s interest in learning at RA Al-hidayah the research method used is a qualitative approach and the type of case study research with the Milles and Hubbermen research model and uses data collection techniques in the from of observation interviews documentation.      Based on the results of research and observations carried out at RA Al-hidayah school, it is still found that some parents commit violence against children, one of which is verbal violence as for the forms of verbal violence experienced by children at RA Al-hidayah scool, such as hars words, scolding and giving threats to children the condition of childre’s interest in learning at RA Al-hidayah is that is has a positive and negative impact on children, from the total number of 34 students, 8,5% were found to have a negative impact of verbal violence by parents and verbal violence obtained from the school environment, while 15% were found to have a positive and negative impact on childrent.                Kaywods: Verbal Abuse, Learning Interst

Abstract

Education is the main foundation for the progress of a nation. However, the quality of education in Indonesia is still a challenge that must be faced. Primary school education is the basic level for students in their education. Elementary school education contributes to building students knowledge base to be used in further education. Therefore, the implementation of learning in elementary schools must run optimally. This research aims to introduce Indonesian culture through the use of my culture flashcard media, which is useful for improving the learning outcomes of 4th-grade elementary school students. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in 4th grade at SDN Sukorejo Buduran with a total of 25 students. The data collection techniques employed are written tests and observations, while the data analysis technique involves comparing the percentage of learning mastery and observing student learning activities using my culture flashcard learning media in Cycle I and Cycle II. The results show that student mastery in the pre-action stage was 20% (5 students). In Cycle I, the mastery of cursive writing skills was 48% (12 students) in the pretest and 56% (14 students) in the posttest, with student activity reaching 75% in the “good” category. In Cycle II, the mastery of cursive writing skills increased to 56% (14 students) in the pretest and 80% (20 students) in the posttest, with student activity reaching 95% in the “very good” category. Thus, it can be concluded that the effort to improve students learning outcomes through the use of “Budayaku” flashcard media in 4th grade elementary school was successfully achieved.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Flashcard Media My Culture

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe whether flannel board media can further improve the early mathematical concept abilities of 4-5 year old children at Segara Muncar Kindergarten in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR) conducted through two cycles, consisting of planning, action, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collection techniques used include interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative descriptive to describe the research results and quantitative to calculate numerical data. The results of this study showed that in the pre-cycle, children's early mathematical skills only reached 33%. In cycle I, children's early mathematical skills increased by 20%, reaching 53% in cycle I. In cycle II, children's early mathematical skills increased by 33% , reaching 86% in cycle II, which means the criteria for very good development with a percentage of 80% have been achieved in this study. On average, children's initial mathematical ability improved, especially with the use of flannel board cards to improve the initial mathematical ability of 4-5-year-old children at Segara Muncar Kindergarten in the 2024/2025 academic year. Keywords: Children's Early Mathematical Concepts, Flannel Board Media.

Abstract

This thesis assessment aims to be a medium for applying the knowledge possessed in a scientific work obtained during education at Padang State University, which provides education in computer science and other sciences. This thesis is directed at developing a learning management system that produces e-learning products at SMA Negeri 1 Situjuah Limo Nagari, which does not yet have an online media to assist the learning process at SMA Negeri 1 Situjuah Limo Nagari. This research uses the type of research and development R&D (Research and Development). The research model used is the Hannafin and Peek research model which consists of 3 phases, namely Need Assessment (needs analysis phase), Design (design phase), and Develop/Implement (development and implementation phase). The product validity test was carried out by 3 validators, namely one material expert validator and two media expert validators. The practicality test was carried out on 22 students of SMA Negeri 1 Situjuah Limo Nagari to determine the practicality of the product. The results of the product validity test from validators I and II received a score in the very valid category. Furthermore, the material validation test by the material validator carried out by the science subject teacher received a score in the very valid category. Furthermore, the product practicality test by students of SMA Negeri 1 Situjuah Limo Nagari received a score in the very practical category.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the applicability of using guided discovery learning on solar system material, improving science process skills using guided discovery learning models on solar system material, as well as students' responses after learning. The type of research used is one group pretest posttest. Data collection using the method of observation, tests, and questionnaires. The instruments used included learning implementation sheets, LKPD, pretest posttest, and response questionnaires. The results of the data show that the implementation of learning obtains an average score of 93% in the very good category. The increase in science process skills has increased by 0.47 in the moderate category. The student response questionnaire gave a response of 82% in the very good category

Abstract

Work performance is the behavior and work outcomes that principals, teachers, and students engage in or bring to the table in relation to contributing to organizational goals. Students who are satisfied with their learning will bring good performance. Likewise, teachers who have principals with good human resources will improve work performance for the better. The purpose of the research is to find out the orientation of human resources in improving work performance in schools. This research method is descriptive qualitative with data sources from literature (library research) through content analysis on various books, journals, and theses both research and conceptual results. The results of this paper conclude that human resource orientation in improving work performance in schools needs to be done by principals because principals are educational leaders who play an important role in improving teacher work performance. In order for educational goals to be achieved, educational institutions should be managed professionally with good human resources so that they can improve better work performance.
