Abstract

A This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of basic roundhouse kick techniques among male students in grade 5 at IT Assalaamah Elementary School in 2025. The problem often encountered is the low mastery of roundhouse kick techniques, which is caused by conventional learning methods that lack variety and appeal. This study uses the Vertical Jump Elektrik learning media as an innovation to improve students' coordination, balance, and leg strength, which are important elements in the scissor kick. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects are male students in grade 5 at SD IT Assalaamah. Data were collected through observation, practical tests, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes for the crescent kick. In cycle I, the average score of the students was still low at 63.35, but after the Vertical Jump Elektrik media was implemented, the average score in cycle II increased dramatically to 77.81, reaching the expected score. The use of the Electric Vertical Jump learning media was effective in improving the learning outcomes of basic pencak silat crescent kick techniques among 5th grade male students at SD IT Assalaamah by 14.71.

Abstract

The shift in learning models following the COVID-19 pandemic, which occurred without adequate preparation, has added new challenges for students with special needs. As an educational institution in an urban area, Jakarta State University should be an ideal example of an inclusive campus. Although opportunities for students with special needs to enroll have expanded, this has not been matched by specific preparations for learning accommodations. This study aims to identify the challenges faced by students with special needs in obtaining appropriate learning accommodations. Additionally, this study seeks to explore the shift in learning accommodation needs of students with special needs post-pandemic COVID-19. A mixed-method research approach was selected, with quantitative data as the primary focus. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and interviews, while quantitative data analysis utilized descriptive statistical analysis. The research subjects consisted of 34 students with special needs from eight faculties, enrolled between 2018 and 2024. The students with special needs involved in this study had visual impairments, hearing impairments, physical impairments, low vision, ADHD, learning difficulties, and autism. The results of the study showed diversity in learning accommodation needs for each type of special need. However, these differences could be predicted based on the type and level of special needs. The five aspects studied—course materials, teaching methods, facilities and equipment, peer support, and the need for self-regulation skills—highlight the importance of further attention from the university. These aspects of learning accommodations reflect a shift in learning modes influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. This shift adds challenges for students with special needs in preparing themselves for the workforce.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts to improve the cognitive abilities of children in Group A through the use of number cards at Uswatun Hasanah Early Childhood Education Center in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used is classroom action research with a research design from Kemmis and Mc. TaggartThe research results indicate that children's cognitive abilities, particularly their ability to recognize numbers, in Group B at Uswatun Hasanah Early Childhood Education Center can be improved through the use of number card media. In the pre-cycle, the classical completion rate (KK) achieved was only 27.7% or approximately 3 children out of 11, indicating that children's cognitive abilities, particularly their ability to recognize numbers, were still low. Subsequently, interventions were implemented in Cycle 1, resulting in an increase to 6 children or approximately 54.5%. However, this achievement still did not meet the success indicators expected by the researcher. Therefore, Cycle II was conducted, and it was found that there was an improvement in children's cognitive abilities, particularly their ability to recognize numbers, with approximately 9 children or around 81.8% achieving mastery. The study was terminated at Cycle II as it had already achieved the success indicators expected by the researcher. It can be concluded that using number card media can enhance children's cognitive abilities, particularly their ability to recognize numbers in early childhood. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in improving early childhood learning motivation in class B students at Al Khuzamy Menggala Kindergarten in the 2024/2025 academic year with a population of 35 students. The results of this study are: to determine the role of teachers in raising early childhood learning motivation at Al Khuzamy Menggala Kindergarten both in the learning process and outside of learning. The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation.Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the role of teachers in improving learning motivation at Al Khuzamy Menggala Kindergarten is good. The implementation of the teacher's role in increasing learning motivation is the teacher as a facilitator, the teacher as a director and the teacher as a motivator. To motivate students, teachers usually give praise to students who have done their jobs well, on the other hand, teachers also act wisely in dealing with students who are not disciplined, namely by giving punishment or in the form of reprimands so that students do not neglect their duties and obligations. For obstacles, teachers experience two obstacles, namely limited interaction between teachers and students, an environment that is less supportive. However, from these two obstacles, teachers have tried to increase children's learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of adding mung bean puree on the sensory quality and nutritional content of kue kaswi. The research was conducted at the Pastry and Bakery Laboratory, Culinary Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, from August 2024 to August 2025. The experimental method was applied to kue kaswi samples with three different percentages of mung bean puree additions, namely 30%, 40%, and 50%. Based on the sensory quality analysis using the Kruskal-Wallis test, the addition of mung bean puree at 30%, 40%, and 50% did not significantly affect all evaluated sensory attributes. Statistical hypothesis testing on the proximate analysis using ANOVA showed that the addition of different percentages of mung bean puree had no significant effect on moisture content, ash content, or crude fiber content. However, it significantly affected fat content, with the best percentage being 30%, and protein content, with the best percentage being 40%. The study concluded that the optimal kue kaswi formulation with mung bean puree was the 40% formulation. Based on a sensory perspective, this formulation did not differ significantly from the control product, while from a nutritional perspective, it resulted in an increase in both fat and protein content.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of learning motivation on the quality of learning outcomes in the Specialization Development Education Program for Women and Children Criminal Investigators at the National Police Education and Training Center. Using a qualitative approach with observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, this study found that learning motivation has a significant influence on participants' success in absorbing training materials. The main findings indicate that intrinsic motivation—such as a sense of responsibility, concern for victims, and commitment to duty—is the dominant factor that drives active participant involvement. On the other hand, extrinsic motivation such as institutional incentives and support from superiors act as a booster for learning enthusiasm. A conducive learning environment, contextual teaching methods such as case studies and simulations, and support from instructors and colleagues also strengthen the effect of motivation on learning outcomes. This study confirms the relevance of the Self-Determination theory, learning ecology, and social learning in the context of police education. The results of this study contribute to the design of curriculum, instructor training, and institutional policies that are oriented towards improving the quality of training for police investigators, especially in handling cases of violence against women and children.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of role-playing methods on the social-emotional development of 5-6-year-old children at the Sasak Lestari Early Childhood Education Center. This is a quantitative study to determine the effect of role-playing methods on the social-emotional development of 5-6-year-old children at the Sasak Lestari Early Childhood Education Center in the 2024/2025 academic year. Dusun Gereneng, Desa Anyar, Kecamatan Bayan, Kabupaten Lombok Utara In this quantitative study, a single group pretest and posttest design was used. The study consists of two variables: an independent variable and a dependent variable. The independent variable in this study is the role-playing method, while the dependent variable is social-emotional ability. The sample size is 12 students. The data collection technique used by the researcher was a pretest-posttest design, where the pretest was used to assess students' initial abilities, while the posttest was used to assess the extent of students' development after the intervention, with t-test analysis. The results of the study indicate that the application of the role-playing method on students' social-emotional skills has a significant effect. The results of the data normality test showed that the data used in this study was normally distributed according to the decision-making criteria that if the calculated r > 0.05, then the data was normally distributed. Conversely, if the sig value < 0.05, then the data was not normally distributed. In the pre-test results, the sig value was 0.936 > 0.05, so the data was normal. In the post-test results, the sig value was 0.875 > 0.05, indicating that the data is normally distributed. After implementing role-playing on children's social-emotional development, significant results were obtained, where the pre-test scores improved from 46.6 to 75, 45 to 91.6, and so on. Thus, the conclusion from this role-playing method is that there are 4 children who have begun to develop (MB), 6 children who are developing as expected (BSH), and 2 children who have developed very well. Keywords: Role-Playing Method, Children's Social-Emotional Development
