Abstract

This study aims to explore and describe the ability of students in West Sumbawa Regency in facing the era of Smart Society 5.0. Against the backdrop of fundamental changes in the interaction between humans and technology, this research focuses on the educational context in the region. West Sumbawa Regency, which is rich in culture and nature, has also experienced the impact of this change, especially in the context of education. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach involving learners from various levels, teachers, and parents. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observation, and document analysis. Data analysis is carried out using a content analysis approach to provide an in-depth picture of phenomena that occur in the field. The results showed that most students in West Sumbawa Regency had a fairly good understanding of the concept of Smart Society 5.0. However, there are variations in the depth of understanding, posing challenges and opportunities that need attention. Class observations show that the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in learning is still in the development stage, with obstacles such as the equitable availability of technology infrastructure needing to be overcome. The discussion of the research results highlighted the importance of students' understanding of Smart Society 5.0 in facing technological changes. Factors such as education level, access to information, and personal experience with technology influence that understanding. ICT integration in learning also needs to be improved by improving teachers' skills and ensuring equitable access to technology across regions. The implications of this research include the development of an educational curriculum that is responsive to the needs of students in the Smart Society 5.0 era and the need for the involvement of related parties, including parents and local communities. In conclusion, a deep understanding and effective integration of technology is the key to improving the ability of students in West Sumbawa Regency to face changing times.

Abstract

This study aims to describe efforts to shape children's independent character at Satya Prawira PAUD in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research focuses more on how to increase the independent character of children at the age of 4-5 years. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) where the subjects in this study are group A students from PAUD Satya Prawira with a total of 10 students. The focus of this research is the independent character of children at the age of 4-5 years.      In this study, researchers used a habituation method in the form of giving examples and an action that can help children's independent character to increase according to the criteria desired by the researcher. In this study for data collection only used two cycles, in which cycle I the level of children's independence was still low because there were still some children's independence had not increased significantly. In cycle I with the results of Developing as Expected (BSH) there were 3 children or equivalent to 30%, and Developing Very Well (BSB) consisted of 7 children or equivalent to 70%. In addition, there is also a cycle II as a planning improvement action which from cycle I to cycle II has increased by 10% so that children who are Developing as Expected (BSH) consist of 2 children or equivalent to 20%, and Developing Very Well (BSB) totaling 8 children or equivalent to 80%. So, with this increase, the researcher stopped his research because the researcher had obtained the right results according to the desired classical value. However, the individual scores are still less than perfect and there are still children who are below the assessment criteria.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to evaluate the effect of using video learning media on the learning outcomes of class VIII students in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects at SMP Negeri 39 Padang. This type of research is experimental research. With samples from classes VIII/4 and VIII/5 which consist of 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class, namely class VIII/5, was treated using learning videos and the control class, namely class VIII/4, was treated using textbooks. The sample used was Purposive Sampling. This research was conducted on social studies subjects with material on Indonesia's Resource Potential. By processing data using Normality Test, Homogeneity Test and Hypothesis Test. To test the hypothesis, this research uses the t test statistic, with a significance level of α 0.05. The research results showed that the average score for the experimental class that used learning video media was 76.40. The average score for the control class that used the textbook was 71.80. Based on the calculation of the t test (t-test), tcount is 2.52, whereas ttable is at a significant level of α 0.05 = 2.02. When compared, so tcount > ttable is 2.52 > 2.01. Which means that H1 is accepted. Thus, the use of learning video media has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of Class VIII students in Social Sciences Subjects at SMP N 39 Padang.

Abstract

Social Sciences is a subject that studies aspects of the field of science related to humans, the environment and the interaction activities between them. There are several complaints about social studies education, such as getting bored easily, not being able to memorize, the lesson material is not related to daily life, and the learning process is monotonous, namely students spend more time listening and taking notes. Apart from that, the implementation of social studies learning tends to deliver material according to textbooks and the methods used are not varied, namely more lecture methods and not using various learning media. So the students' attitudes during the learning process are like joking around with their classmates, sleeping and doing other activities as a result of which the material presented is not understood. So it is very important to determine innovation and adaptation of social studies learning in the development of the current educational curriculum. The method used is library research or literature review. Library research includes general processes such as systematic identification of theories, literature exploration, and analysis of documents that contain information related to the research topic. Based on the results of the study, the forms of social studies learning innovation in curriculum development are; actualization of social studies learning, project-based learning, student-centered approach, use of technology, field trips, connection with the real world, performance-based evaluation, creativity and expression, collaboration between subjects, continuous process improvement. Meanwhile, the form of adaptation itself is by implementing differentiation learning which consists of; content differentiation, process and product differentiation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how Merdeka learns in the view of Ki Hadjar Dewantara and its relevance for character education developers. Character education is very important and must be carried out, because it forms the character of the nation which is one of the objectives of a national education. Character education is not new, but in its implementation efforts educators and educational units are still not optimally implementing character education. Nevertheless, character education continues to be pursued until today, character education continues to be implemented, strengthened, and continues to be developed including in the independent curriculum through the character of Pancasila students. Philosophically, character building through character education is needed and needs to be given to students to achieve the nation's educational goals. In line with the view of Ki Hajar Dewantara, education will not be separated from the values of character (ethics), physical, and mind of students who will later become 'humans' in society. So that character education has an important role to develop the potential of students and become a virtuous Indonesian society. In this study, the literature review method was used. This method addresses information published in a particular field of study within a specific period. A literature review can be a simple summary of sources, but usually has an organizational pattern and incorporates summary and synthesis. The data collection technique is to search for relevant journals or books. The data analysis technique used is the theory of Miles and Huberman which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions.
