Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) aims to apply the Role Play learning method in Basic English Conversation. This learning model can foster students' enthusiasm for learning and create fun English learning. This learning method is believed to be able to increase interest in learning English, especially for children because this method involves motion games that create fun which is closely related to children. The Role Play method is a learning model that requires students to play one's character. This model is a technique that allows students to explore realistic conditions, situations or events by interacting with other students in a managed manner to enhance the experience. This Community Service activity began with a pre-survey/observation in April 2022 and the core of this activity is conducting teaching and learning activities for the children of Griya Yatim Dhuafa Permata Pamulang by implementing Role Play which was held in mid-May 2022. The PkM results show there is an increase in students' motivation and enthusiasm in learning English so that it is expected to be a reference for educators in creating new nuances in learning English so as to create fun classes and achieve maximum learning goals.

Abstract

Being fit throughout the ages is everyone's dream, excellent body fitness will allow everyone to be able to work optimally without experiencing significant fatigue. The purpose of the North Sumatera ethnic gymnastics training for PKK Kerapuh Village women, is to improve body fitness and lose weight for PKK Kerapuh Village women. This activity was carried out at the PT. Socfindo Bangun Bandar Village City. This activity was attended by 30 PKK women who are members of the gymnastics club. This activity has been able to improve the physical fitness of PKK mothers and reduce their weight by an average of 12% of their body weight. This activity has also produced 3 North Sumatera ethnic gymnastics instructors who have the ability to become Ahoy gymnastics instructors.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to conduct training and development to improve teacher performance after the Covid-19 Pandemic. The location of service activities at the Negri 5 Junior High School (SMP) Medan.  This activity uses the blanded learning method which is a learning method which combines two learning patterns, namely by utilizing technology and learning through teaching staff.  This service activity went smoothly and all participants who were teachers were very enthusiastic in participating in the activity until it was completed. After the material was delivered, the participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and answers about the discussion of the material and even the obstacles experienced when learning was carried out after this Pandemic. There are 6 (six) models offered by the activity team that are considered capable of helping to improve Teacher performance, namely: 1) Using a Controlled Face-to-Face System Model. 2) Using a Rotation System Model. 3) Using a Flexing System Model. 4) Using an Online Turnaround System Model. 5) Using a Self-Combination System Model. 6)  Using the Online Control System Model. Metode the delivery of blended learning material which is a perfect combination of face-to-face and also online, where during the Covid-19 Pandemic, it is known that there are many technologies that have undergone developments that greatly support the world of education in order to achieve success in learning. This blended learning method is also considered effective because it is to develop an innovation in the world of education in order to create optimal results.

Abstract

This study was conducted to find out how the effect of Retun on Assets (ROA), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Equity (ROE) and Earning Per Share (EPS) on Stock Price in state-owned enterprises  LQ 45 Index listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data is taken from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, namely www.idx.co.id.  The data used for the period 2017 to 2020. The population in this study was 18 companies with a sample of 12 companies used. This study used quantitative data processed with the Eviews v. 12 Application, with a panel data regression analysis  method. The test results showed that thevariables Return on Assets (ROA), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Equity (ROE) and Earning Per Share (EPS) had  a positive and significant effect on Harga Saham.  Thevariables Rorrn on Assets (ROA), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Equity (ROE) and Earning Per Share (EPS have  a positive and significant effect on Harga Saham.  The contribution of influence given by the entire variable was 81.01%.

Abstract

The more effective the profit planning, the greater the company's net profit. High profit planning demonstrates the company's ability to create value for its shareholders. The company's success in developing this value undoubtedly results in increased profits for its stockholders. This return is extremely important since it is used as a measure of the company's performance and as a basis for evaluating the future returns associated with expectations and risks. This study aimed to investigate and analyze the impact of CR on profits planning. To examine and assess the influence of DER on profit planning. To examine and assess TATO's impact on profit planning. To evaluate and analyze the impact of ROE on profit planning in the catering industry. To evaluate and assess the impact of CR, DER, TATO, and ROE on profit planning. This study employs quantitative data analysis, which involves testing and analyzing data by calculating numbers, followed by drawing conclusions from the test using descriptive statistical tests and multiple correlations. However, the data processing for this study is not performed manually, but rather through the use of Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS). According to the study's findings, CR, TATO, DER, and ROE have a considerable influence on profit planning, both partially and simultaneously

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Google Classroom-based flipped classroom model for teaching machining theory during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Medan, which impedes learning activities. In accordance with the current situation and conditions of the covid-19 pandemic, an alternative and appropriate solution is required, namely the application of the flipped classroom model based on the google classroom to improve student learning outcomes in the machining theory course. The flipped classroom model can assist students in achieving learning objectives in a manner that is considered simple. Through the Flipped classroom, lecturers at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Medan can utilize online learning to facilitate students' access to and study of course materials. It is crucial to conduct research on this issue for this reason. This research has three objectives: (1) to examine the learning outcomes of students who use the flipped classroom learning model assisted by Google Classroom in the treatment class; (2) to examine the learning outcomes of students who use the conventional learning model in the comparison class; and (3) to determine the effect of using the flipped classroom learning model assisted by Google Classroom on the learning outcomes of machining theory. The type of research employed is quasi-experimental. Class A and B students enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Medan State University, during the even semesters of 2020/21 comprised the population of this study. Researchers used cluster sampling (cluster random sampling) to select two classes from the population and determine the treatment class and comparison class. The data was derived from the results of observations and assessments of learning outcomes. In this study, descriptive and inferential statistical analysis were used to analyze the data. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis indicate that online learning methods result in higher average student learning outcomes (80,05) than traditional learning methods (64,45). On the basis of the results of an inferential statistical analysis, it is possible to conclude that the learning outcomes of machining theory attained by students using the flipped classroom learning model supported by Google Classroom are superior to or have a positive impact on the learning outcomes attained by students using conventional learning models.

Abstract

Pengelolaan barang milik daerah adalah unsur penting yang harus dikelola dengan baik agar menunjang operasional pemerintahan. Berdasarkan Permendagri Nomor 19 Tahun 2016, kegiatan penatausahaan barang milik daerah merupakan salah satu kegiatan pengelolaan barang. Dalam Peraturan Daerah Nomor 9 Tahun 2017 tentang Pengelolaan Barang Milik Daerah telah diatur dengan jelas penatausahaan barang secara efektif dan efisien. Namun kenyataannya masih belum dikelola dengan baik. Evaluasi diperlukan agar keakuratan data barang yang dilakukan dengan penatausahaanya menjadi tepat. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang menekankan makna daripada generalisasi dengan pendekatan eksplanatori yang berusaha mencari penyebab dan alasan, serta memberikan bukti untuk mendukung atau menyangkal penjelasan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penatausahaan barang belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan konsep evaluasi William Dunn khususnya pada kriteria perataan. Kendala yang dihadapi Pemerintah Kota Dumai dalam penatausahaan barang yaitu sumber daya manusia masih kurang berkompeten, sistem aplikasi penatausahaan barang milik daerah masih manual dan tidak terintegrasi dengan sistem keuangan, kurangnya sosialisasi dan pelatihan terkait penatausahaan barang milik daerah, kurangnya pemantauan dan pengawasan terhadap fisik barang milik daerah. Untuk itu perlu ditingkatkan sumber daya manusia yang berkompeten untuk menunjang pelaksanaan penatausahaan barang milik daerah di Kota Dumai, perlu dioptimalkan sistem aplikasi dalam penatausahaan barang milik daerah, menganggarkan dana kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan terkait dengan penatausahaan barang milik daerah, melakukan pemantauan dan pengawasan atas pelaksanaan penatausahaan barang milik daerah.

Abstract

Boangmanalu Village is a village located in Pakpak Bharat Regency, North Sumatra Province. The majority livelihoods  of the population are agriculture and the economy is focused on agriculture. Agricultural products from Pakpak Bharat Regency include Gambir, Patchouli, Coffee, Sukat (Taro), Citronella, Pineapple, etc. The partners in this activity are entrepreneurial farmers, named Maju Tani Group in Boangmanalu Village. Since 2021, this group has been producing pineapple chips as an effort to empower pineapple fruit. However, the production of these pineapple chips still has a number of limitations. The problem encountered is the unoptimal implementation of this business in the production side, that the cover of pineapple chips package are not attractive, the manufacturing process pineapple chips that still use conventional methods without the use of machines, and the management wich still unorganized. The solutions offered to this problem are to create a new design of pineapple chip cover packaging, provide a Vacuum Frying machine, and held organizational management training. With this activity, the members of the Maju Tani Group will gain knowledge and experience directly in improving the pineapple chip business and the management of the organization. This service activity also purposed to empower the Maju Tani Group and increase the Pineapple Chips business which ultimately contributes to the improvement of the family economy in Boangmanalu Village.

Abstract

The mosque building, which is in the alley, sometimes escapes the monitoring of the accuracy of the Qibla direction. The difficulty of getting the sun's shadow directly into the mosque is one of the factors so that the instrument used to measure the Qibla only uses makeshift tools or only follows the location of the land used for the building. Such as Baiturrahman and Miftahul Ulum mosques in the Tamansari Village, with the position of building in an alley. The purpose of this PKM activity is to assist the Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) in verifying the Qibla direction of their mosque so that Muslims can pray towards the Qibla with the help of an accurate tool. This mentoring activity uses a participatory action research approach so that DKM can utilize the sun qibla and mizwandroid instruments in aligning the Qibla direction of the mosque. The results of the mentoring activities at the Baiturrahman Mosque and Miftahul Ulum Mosque, namely the correction of the prayer rows conducted by the DKM of the mosque and the service team, where the difference in Qibla direction deviation is 8 degrees and 5 degrees, respectively. In addition, DKM and the service team have made corrections to the prayers’ rows at the imam's place and the first row in each mosque by attaching Qibla direction stickers as a benchmark for the direction of the rows.

Abstract

Era globalilisasi yang ditandai dengan kemajuan teknologi, informasi dan komunikasi menuntut pelayanan kepada publik yang lebih cepat dan tepat. Mengingat akses pelayanan tidak lagi dengan metode kuno atau manual yang hanya menghandalkan tenaga sumber daya masyarakat (SDM) semata, namun harus mampu memadukan kolaborasi antara keberadaan SDM dengan teknologi, informasi dan komunikasi. Pemanfaatan teknologi informatika menjadi kebutuhan pada setiap sektor, termasuk sektor pelayanan pemerintahan, sehingga membawa dampak signifikan bagi kemajuan sebuah negara, khusus pemerintah daerah. Pemanfaatan teknologi informatika membuat komunikasi semakin mudah dan cepat, akses informasi semakin mudah, dapat mempersingkat waktu dan menghemat biaya. Untuk meningkatkan pelayanan publik yang prima dan baik dengan menghandalkan pada pelayanan berbasis elektronik, Presiden Republik Indonesia mengeluarkan payung hukum berupa Peraturan Presiden Nomor 95 Tahun 2018 tentang Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik.
