Abstract

Activities in Quality Improvement of ECD Management Based on ECD Standards based on the low understanding of managers (principals and teachers) on eight PAUD Standards (Standards for Achieving Child Development, Content, Processes, Educators and Education Personnel, Assessment, Facilities and Infrastructure, Management and Financing). This activity aims to assist principals and teachers in managing PAUD based on PAUD standards. The activities carried out began with enlightenment and question and answer about the Nature of PAUD Standards, then analyzed the Instruments for PAUD Quality Mapping, and Assistance in completing the documents of each Standard. Mentoring activities were carried out from August to October 2018, which took place at PAUD Miska and PAUD Harapan Bangsa, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. The participants of this activity were the Principal and Teachers and Education Personnel who served in the two schools totaling 10 people. Activities are carried out by means of discussion, question and answer, group work and assignments. At the end of the activity an evaluation of the process and work results of the participants was conducted, and agreed on follow-up activities from mentoring. The results of the mentoring activities concluded that: 1) Understanding of Principals and teachers and other education personnel about PAUD management Based on PAUD Standards increased; 2) Managers' lack of understanding of PAUD Standards causes a lack of realization of programs that refer to standards, lack of procurement of facilities and infrastructure, and not storing documents or letter files, certificates, photos, attendance lists and others. It is recommended that PAUD managers try to rediscover some of the physical evidence that the activities that have been carried out are in accordance with the standards, and the following day the manager must carry out the program in accordance with the PAUD Standards. Keywords: Assistance in Quality Improvement of PAUD Management, PAUD Standards.

Abstract

One of the problems in the company is my resource limitation, the time of production and the tools used in the production process. Companies in making decisions in production planning in the presence of these limitations, should seek to maximize the profit generated. However, in the production process a production planning reference is required to maximize the results obtained and minimize the production costs used. To solve the problem, needed a problem solving tool that is linear program using simplex method. Simplex method is one of the methods of linear program in solving the problem of more than two variables that can be applied into everyday life and can be used in production process planning. With one of the ultimate goal is the achievement of the optimum value with the constraints of limited resources. The results of the simplex method have decreased costs incurred less than the usual costs incurred every month and the results obtained using the simplex method can be used as a reference in making decisions to get optimal results on production costs in the company.

Abstract

The implementation of activities focused on updating production and e-commerce management on œBorna aims at resolving some of the challenges and obstacles experienced by Borna. One of them is in the production stage, where wood cutting still uses a jigsaw, making production processes longer and limiting e-commerce that still relies on social media platforms, making marketing networks and sales levels still low. The assistance program to facilitate the resolution of the problem in question was carried out at the end of August 2019, in Binjai. In addition, on the same occasion, appropriate technology assistance was also carried out by handing over a saw machine for efficiency and effectiveness in the process of cutting round, hexagonal and trapezium wood plates. As a complement in updating partner competencies, the implementation team also provides training and assistance in developing the website as one of the main e-commerce platforms to increase partner marketing and revenue. The use of e-commerce websites in expanding market share slowly but surely has made Borna products become more exposed and known and can compete with products originating from Java Island which currently dominate national and international market share. Keywords: Craft Products; Souvenir Wood Waste; Borna; Binjai.

Abstract

The research aims to develop teacher and student handbooks for realistic mathematics lessons for elementary schools. The development of this handbook is based on the reality in the field where the handbook of teachers and students especially the subjects using the 2013 curriculum still do not exist, and in daily learning activities teachers and students still use books that use themes. This research uses development research (Developmental Research). The subjects of this study were grade V students of SD Negeri 163085, H.A Bilal Tebingtinggi City and SD Negeri 106162, Medan Estate District, Deliserdang Regency. In the initial stage, observations were made during the learning process at the two schools and continued with interviews with students and teachers. From the results of these observations and interviews a primary school realistic mathematics teacher and student handbook was prepared. Furthermore, the realistic elementary school mathematics teacher and student handbook is validated by a team that aims to see and assess the quality of the realistic elementary school teacher and student mathematics handbook in order to arrange an effective handbook that will be used by teachers and students in learning. The validation results show that realistic mathematics teacher and student handbooks are developed in both categories and can be used in teaching and learning. The media book test was conducted on grade V students of SD Negeri 163085 Tebingtinggi city and SD Negeri 106162 Medan Estate Deliserdang Regency. The trial results show that the elementary school teacher and student mathematics handbook is effective and can help facilitate understanding of mathematical concepts at the elementary school level. This can be seen from the number of students who can reach the KKM from the two schools is increasing. For SD Negeri 163085 HA Bilal, Tebingtinggi City, if at the time of the pre-test only 1 student (3%) was able to reach the KKM, then after being given the learning process using a teacher and student handbook developed the number of students who could reach the KKM increased to 24 students (82.7%) while those under the KKM were only (17.3%) or 5 students. The same thing was seen in SD Negeri 106162, Medanestate Subdistrict, Deliserdang Regency. If at the time of the Pre-test only 2 students (6.6%) had scored above the KKM, after the post-test there was an increase in students who achieved the KKM score of 25 students (83.3%). An increase of 76.7% when compared to the pre test. Keywords: Handbook, teacher, student, PMR

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a media for learning mathematics in "Opung HAN" elementary school based on Interactive Audio Instruction (IAI) for students majoring in UNIMED elementary school teacher education. The IAI-based "Opung HAN" fraction media was compiled based on observations during the learning and analysis conducted on the dictates of high-class mathematics education courses and interviews conducted with elementary school teacher education students, where teachers were very difficult to convey material related to fractions, The teacher does not know what media to use in teaching broken material. On the other hand, in the high school mathematics education textbook, there is also no media / teaching aids that can be used to teach fractional material. The specific purpose of this research is: developing IAI-based "Opung HAN" fraction media which will later be used by students majoring in primary school teacher education in teaching fraction material when they later become a teacher. This research uses development research (Developmental Research). The subjects of this study were students majoring in primary school teacher education at the State University of Medan. In the initial stage, observations were made during the learning process, analysis of the dictates of high-level mathematics education courses and continued with interviews with students. From the results of these observations and interviews, an initial draft of the IAI-based "Opung HAN" fraction was compiled. Furthermore, the initial design of the IAI-based "Opung HAN" fraction media was validated by a team that aimed to assess the quality of these elementary mathematics learning media fractions so that the fractional media became effective learning media which would later be used by lecturers and students in the lecture process. Keywords :  IAI, Fraction media, math learning.
