Abstract

Hypertension is the main risk factor that leads to cardiovascular disease such as heart attack, heart failure and stroke, which is the highest cause of death in the world. One area with high risk of hypertension is the coastal area. The famous coastal area in the Lombok is Malimbu, located in North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province. This research is an analytical observational study with a cross sectional design. This study aims to determine the correlation between smoking behavior and use of “used cooking oil” and the incidence of hypertension. Samples in this study were 70 people (n=70), and was taken using accidental sampling technique. Data were analyzed using chi-square. The results showed that the incidence of hypertension was 48% of the 70 respondents. Most of the respondents (70%), had no history of hypertension in their family. This research shows that there is no correlation between smoking behavior and the incidence of hypertension (p=0.807) with PR=1.156 (0.354 - 3.797). The use of “used cooking oil” was also found to be not correlated with the incidence of hypertension (p=0.632) with PR=1.275 (0.486 - 3.345). Although several previous studies showed that the smoking behavior and the use of used cooking oil correlate to hypertension, but this study result shows different data. This can be caused by other factors. Future research needs to examine the characteristics of smokers that may be related to the incidence of hypertension

Abstract

Abstract Chemotherapy is one of the treatments for breast cancer patients that affects the physical, psychological, and quality of life of the patient. Patients need to have a good coping mechanism to maintain a good quality of life. Several factors that affect the quality of life of cancer patients include self-acceptance. This study aims to describe the picture of self-acceptance in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The design of this study used quantitative descriptive with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted at the Integrated Cancer Installation of the Regional General Hospital with a sample of 149 people using a purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, it was found that breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy experienced moderate self-acceptance as many as 72 samples (48.3%), with the largest age range of 46-55 years (54; 36.2%), most respondents were married (148; 99.3%). most respondents were in stage III (83; 55.7%), had been diagnosed with cancer for 3-6 months (54; 36.2) and were undergoing 2-3 series of chemotherapy (54: 36.3%). The higher a person's self-acceptance, the more optimistic they are in undergoing treatment for their recovery. It is expected that nurses will use a caring approach to increase patient self-acceptance during chemotherapy and provide support to patients to remain optimistic during treatment.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a collection of symptoms that occur during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period including hypertension, edema and proteinuria, symptoms usually appear after 20 weeks of gestation or more. There were 19 cases of visits by TM III pregnant mothers who had ANC at the Klambu Community Health Center with preeclampsia, in 2021 there were 24 cases and in 2022 there were 38 cases. From year to year visits by mothers with preeclampsia have increased. The aim of the research was to determine the risk factors that influence the incidence of preeclampsia at the Klambu Community Health Center, Grobogan Regency. The research method used a case control design, the research was conducted in October 2023 with a population of all pregnant women aged 35 weeks to 40 weeks with preeclampsia in 2022, there were 38 people. The samples in this research used a 1:1 ratio so that the number of case samples was 38 and the number of control samples was 38, so there were a total of 76 samples. Data analysis uses the Odds Ratio test. The research results show that the age of most mothers is not at risk, between 20-35 years 75%, the parity of mothers is not at risk or multipara 64.5%, the nutritional status based on LILA is not normal or <23.5cm and >25cm 72.4%, the pregnancy interval is not at risk or >2 years 59.2%, no history of hypertension 89.5, history of standardized ANC 90.8% and mother's education at risk or elementary/middle school graduate education 57.9%. Risk factors for preeclampsia include maternal age (OR=1.528), nutritional status (OR=1.487), history of hypertension (OR=2.267) and ANC (OR=1.373). Protective factors for preeclampsia include parity (OR=0.708), pregnancy spacing (OR=0.721) and maternal education (OR=0.415). It is hoped that midwives will be able to improve the quality of midwifery services related to ANC and early detection of preeclampsia related to the risk factors of pregnant women's age, nutritional status of pregnant women and history of hypertension.

Abstract

In many countries, including Indonesia, access to emergency medical services remains a significant challenge, especially in remote areas. Telemedicine technology is expected to be an effective solution for improving accessibility and the quality of emergency services. this research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the implementation of telemedicine in emergency medical services in remote areas at Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara. The research procedure is structured into several main stages, including planning, data collection, data analysis, and reporting. Data is collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with stakeholders such as healthcare workers and the local community, as well as document analysis related to the implementation of telemedicine. The results showed that telemedicine significantly improves accessibility, allowing residents to obtain medical consultations without having to travel long distances, thereby reducing the time and cost of receiving timely services. Furthermore, telemedicine enhances response time and coordination between field medical teams and health service centers, enabling more accurate diagnoses and effective management of emergencies. However, this research also reveals several challenges in the implementation of telemedicine, including limited technological infrastructure and a lack of trained personnel in using telemedicine technology. To optimize the implementation of telemedicine, efforts are needed to strengthen technological infrastructure and enhance the capacity of medical personnel in remote areas. Thie study  research recommend several inputs for the development of policies and practices to enhance the effectiveness and inclusiveness of emergency medical services through telemedicine.
