Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persamaan dan perbedaan puisi berjudul “A Far Cry From Africa” karya Derek Walcott dari Afrika Selatan dengan puisi berjudul “South Africa” karya Subagio Sastrowardoyo dari Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat persamaan dan perbedaan pada kedua puisi tersebut, terutama jika dilihat dari unsur intrinsiknya. Kedua puisi tersebut sama-sama mengangkat tema diskriminasi rasial, banyak menggunakan gaya bahasa komparatif dan repetitif, bergenre deskriptif yang mengungkapkan kritik sosial, sama-sama menggunakan realisme, dan merupakan puisi postkolonial. Perbedaan puisi-puisi tersebut adalah puisi pertama lebih banyak menggunakan gaya bahasa repetitif, sedangkan puisi kedua lebih banyak menggunakan gaya bahasa komparatif. “A Far Cry from Africa” karya Derek Walcott dengan puisi “Afrika Selatan” karya Subagio Sastrowardoyo.Kata Kunci : Sastra Komparatif, Puisi, Unsur, Genre

Abstract

This research aims to describe the conversational implicatures in the film Mangkujiwo by Azhar Kinoi Lubis. This study was motivated by the large number of fans and viewers of this film. In this film, there are many conversations that contain implicatures, either in the form of sarcasm or criticism. In this research, researchers used a pragmatic approach. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data used in this research is the conversation in the film Mangkujiwo by Azhar Kinoi Lubis. The results of this research on the data obtained, found 10 data containing implicatures, 9 data containing implicatures which are satirical sentences, and 1 data which is a critical sentence.Keywords: Conversational implicature, Mangkujiwo film by Azhar Kinoi Lubis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pendekatan semiotik antara lain ikon, indeks, dan simbol yang terdapat dalam Novel Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini Karya Marchella FP. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian dalam Novel Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini karya Marchella FP meliputi: 1) Ikon terdapat 13 data dalam Novel Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini karya Marchella FP. 2) Indeks terdapat 16 data dalam Novel Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini karya Marchella FP. 3) Simbol terdapat 18 data dalam Novel Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini karya Marchella FP. Ikon dalam kajian semiotik berupa tanda yang merepresentasikan benda. Sementara itu, Indeks disebut juga tanda dalam kajian semiotik. Tanda tersebut terdapat hubungan sebab akibat. Kalimat sebab tidak dapat berdiri sendiri tanpa kalimat akibat, karena kalimat sebab merupakan alasan munculnya kalimat akibat. Adanya kalimat sebab akibat tersebut membentuk satu kesatuan yang saling melengkapi. Selanjutnya simbol dalam kajian semiotik yang melambangkan makna aslinya. Simbol membutuhkan proses pemaknaan lebih dalam karena simbol bersifat bebas, dalam maksud tergantung cara pandang setiap orang yang memaknainya.

Abstract

the practical level there are still many things that are not in accordance with what has been agreed at the theological level. The novel About You by an Indonesian writer with the pen name Tere Liye is the object of research. In this novel, it examines the values in literary works, such as the value of literary feminism which examines women's gender equality. The type of research used in this research is library research (library research) with qualitative descriptive data presentation. The story about Sri Ningsih can be seen as an illustration of the concept of feminism which highlights women's struggle in facing rigid gender norms and traditionally assigned roles in society. Abstract

Language is one of the most important aspects in early childhood development which must be stimulated optimally. Language is a tool for communicating, thinking and expressing oneself. Therefore, a teacher must stimulate the language development of his students through several learning methods and media. With learning media, namely busybooks, teachers can stimulate children's development with this media. Therefore, the researchers took the title of improving Indonesian language development in AUD by using busy book media in Nurul Arafah Kindergarten. From the research results, it was found that the use of busy books can help improve the language development of early childhood children in Nurul Arafah Kindergarten much better. This research also uses qualitative research methods where the research produces descriptive data in the form of written words and behavior observed during the research. Kata Kunci: Anak Usia Dini, Bahasa, Busy Book

Abstract

This study delves into the theme of feminism in the novel Rara Mendut by Y.B. Mangunwijaya. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this research explores the struggles and liberation of women revealed in the narrative of the novel. By using the novel's text as the primary source of data, this study conducts in-depth analysis of the main female characters and situations that depict the dynamics of feminism within the Indonesian cultural context. The findings of this research can provide deeper insights into how feminism is represented and advocated for in Indonesian literary works. Keywords: Feminism, Rara Mendut, Women’s Struggle

Abstract

This research aims to examine violations of the principle of politeness in the Instagram comments column on Awreceh's account. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method which will explain the research data through detailed descriptions so that it can explain and describe the research results clearly. Data was collected through screenshots of netizens' comments in Awreceh's account posts which were then analyzed according to the principle of politeness theory. Furthermore, from the results of the analysis data were obtained which constitute violations of the maxim of wisdom, violations of the maxim of appreciation, violations of the maxim of sympathy, and violations of the maxim of suitability. Keywords: Awreceh, Instagram, Violation of the Principle of Politeness, Netizens.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an effective and interesting learning module using the SAM (Successive Approximation Model), which consists of three phases: preparation phase, iterative design phase, and iterative development phase. In the preparation phase, information is gathered through analysis of student and teacher needs as well as analysis of media and teaching materials to understand the specific needs that will be accommodated by the module. SAVVY Start activities, including brainstorming, sketching, and prototyping, were carried out to design the initial concept of the module. The iterative design phase aims to design modules that are relevant to students' knowledge, skills and competencies through an iterative approach that improves the quality and effectiveness of the modules. The iterative development phase focuses on developing and refining modules as well as feasibility testing involving material experts, language experts and media experts. Expert validation ensures the module meets standards, provides improvement suggestions for optimization, and improves the visual quality of the module. Implementation of these suggestions aims to increase the effectiveness and attractiveness of the module. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji penggunaan media wordwall terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam memahami teks cerita pendek. Dalam penelitian ini tujuan penggunaan metode kuantitatif adalah mendeskripsikan, menjelaskan situasi atau kondisi suatu peristiwa dengan melampirkan bukti-bukti dari hasil penelitian. Data yang dipilih menggunakan sampel kelas XI A sebanyak 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pembagian soal atau tes, dokumentasi, dan angket yang berisi 15 pertanyaan. Sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan rumus Chi-Square (X2). Setelah dilakukan penelitian pada tanggal 5 Juni 2024 diperoleh hasil bahwa penggunaan media wordwall memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa kelas XI mengenai materi teks cerita pendek. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil tes dan angket sebesar 32,949 lebih besar dari tabel Chi-Square pada taraf signifikansi 1% dan taraf signifikansi 5%.Kata Kunci: Media pembelajaran, wordwall, pemahaman siswa, teks cerita pendek

Abstract

This research aims to produce a Problem Based Learning(PBL) learning model to improve the ability to write practical and effective argumentative paragraphs. An argumentative paragraph is a paragraph that expresses an opinion accompanied by accurate evidence and facts to convince the reader. Therefore, to train students' skills in writing argumentative paragraphs, students must be trained optimally and given maximum understanding to improve their understanding in writing argumentative paragraphs. This type of research is development research ( Research and Development ) using the Borg & Gall development model. The subjects of this research were 30 students of class VIII MTS YAPPAM. Data analysis was carried out by converting the total actual scores obtained into five-scale qualitative data. The products developed are PBL learning model books, lesson plans, worksheets (LK) and learning achievement tests (TPB). The results of expert validation, teacher assessment scores, student responses, learning observations, learning achievement tests, and investigative ability tests show that PBL learning model books, lesson plans, worksheets (LK), learning achievement tests (TPB), and argumentative paragraph writing ability tests (TKMPA) is valid, practical and effective. Thus, overall the research conducted shows that the product developed is suitable for use in terms of validity, practicality and effectiveness. Keywords: development of learning models, problem based learning , argumentative paragraph.
