Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how the use of Bahasa Indonesia influences business communication in the work environment, with a particular focus on Generation Z. In the context of rapid globalization, the ability to communicate effectively is key to success in the business world. Generation Z, as digital natives, exhibit unique communication characteristics and often use informal language that can potentially hinder professionalism in the workplace. Using a case study of a Generation Z employee at a fund management company in London, this research proves that the use of casual language can damage an individual's credibility and is not in line with company expectations. The results show that proper use of Bahasa Indonesia can improve the quality of interactions, strengthen relationships between teams, and increase work productivity. Therefore, organizations need to understand and accommodate the communication characteristics of Generation Z in order to create an inclusive and productive work environment.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of introverted personality traits on student participation in Indonesian language learning at the higher education level. Introverted students often prefer self-reflection and observation over active participation in class discussions, potentially affecting their comprehension, particularly in a subject that also serves to convey national and cultural identity. Data were collected through interviews and observations of  Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Balikpapan students. The findings reveal that introverted characteristics, such as selective engagement and a tendency for isolation, influence their interactions and classroom involvement. To foster inclusive participation, project-based and inclusive teaching methods are recommended, emphasizing the need to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of the research was to determine the effect of using serial image media on the ability to write procedural texts for class VII students at SMP Negeri 30 Muaro Jambi. This research was carried out from January 16 2024 to January 29 2024. The sampling technique used random sampling technique. Data collection techniques use tests, documentation and observation. In this research the tests carried out were pre-test and post-test. The data analysis technique in this research is very important to determine learning outcomes in the learning process using series image media. Before analyzing data, things that need to be considered are testing the prerequisites for data analysis and hypothesis testing. The research results show that the use of serial image media in procedural text writing skills has a significant influence in improving students' abilities in writing procedural texts.Keywords: Series Images, Writing Procedure Text

Abstract

Indonesian language learning in secondary schools directs students to be skilled in communicating according to Learning Objectives. Negotiation is one of the communication skills learned by students at the secondary school level. In the Independent Curriculum, Negotiation is a Learning Outcome that must be achieved by students. Negotiation role play in Indonesian language learning in secondary schools aims to explore various aspects of the Indonesian language, such as vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills, through negotiation simulations in real-life contexts. The creation of negotiation role play products uploaded by secondary school students must meet the criteria for structure, language rules, and communicative politeness patterns. This study aims to: 1) Describe the structure, language, and politeness patterns of negotiation role play uploaded on YouTube. 2) Describe the suitability of negotiation role play with negotiation text. 3) Describe the suitability of negotiation role play as digital teaching material. The research is included in descriptive analytical research with a structural approach and a pragmatic approach. The subject of the research is the negotiation text role play uploaded on the digital media YouTube. The research data was processed using qualitative descriptive analytical techniques. The results of the study conducted by calculating the percentage that the negotiation role play in learning Indonesian in the structure section has a conformity with a percentage of 100%, linguistic conformity of 77.7%, and conformity of politeness patterns has a percentage of 75%, the percentage is calculated by dividing the score obtained by the maximum score, then multiplied by 100%. This proves that the multiliteracy of negotiation role play on YouTube as Indonesian language teaching materials in high schools is in accordance with the criteria of negotiation texts as teaching materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of content, language, presentation, and graphography in Chapter 6 "One Point" in the Indonesian textbook for grade IV elementary school students, based on the criteria set by the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP) and guided by the Improved Indonesian Spelling (EYD) Edition V. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with a content analysis method. The data source comes from the chapter "One Point" in the Indonesian book published in 2021. The analysis focused on four aspects of textbook feasibility: content feasibility, language feasibility, presentation feasibility, and graphic feasibility, with reference to the BSNP assessment indicators and linguistic rules in EYD Edition V. The results of the research obtained showed that the book generally met the feasibility standards in terms of content suitability with learning objectives, material up-to-date, and linguistic accuracy. However, some errors were found in punctuation, word selection, and clarity of sentence structure that needed to be corrected. The graphic and presentation aspects are considered appropriate and attractive for elementary school students. This analysis emphasizes the importance of regular textbook evaluation to ensure that teaching materials remain accurate, effective, and relevant. Keywords: Textbook analysis, textbook feasibility, BSNP standards, Indonesian, EYD Edition V

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of a picture book based on local wisdom to enhance the ecoliteracy of elementary school students. The background of the research is the low environmental awareness among students, as reflected in environmentally unfriendly behaviors, such as littering and unhealthy eating habits. Therefore, introducing local food and the importance of environmental conservation through picture books is considered effective, as it helps students relate the stories to their daily lives. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) involving 78 students from three schools in Sumedang Regency. The product developed, a picture book titled Bubur Suro Tradisi Masyarakat Rancakalong, was proven effective in improving students' ecoliteracy. Data collection was conducted through Likert scale questionnaires, readability analysis, and cognitive learning tests. The results show that the teaching material is valid with an expert score of 89% and a readability level of 91%. The product's effectiveness is also evident from the improvement in students' ecoliteracy on the cognitive aspect, with an average N-Gain of 82.5%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis wacana media terkait peran politik Airlangga Hartarto dan relasi kekuasaan dengan Presiden Joko Widodo menjelang pemilihan Ketua Umum Partai Golkar. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pengaruh politik yang signifikan dari Airlangga dan perannya dalam pemerintahan Jokowi, yang menjadi sorotan media. Metode yang digunakan adalah Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) Norman Fairclough, yang mencakup analisis mikrostruktural, mesostruktural, dan makrostruktural. Pada level mikrostruktural, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penggunaan kata dan citra diri Airlangga yang diperkuat oleh media. Pada level mesostruktural, analisis berfokus pada hubungan antara media dan elit politik dalam produksi berita. Sementara itu, pada level makrostruktural, penelitian menyoroti dominasi ideologi yang mempengaruhi pemberitaan, terutama dalam kaitannya dengan penguatan kekuasaan Airlangga di Golkar dan dukungan strategis dari Jokowi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media secara umum menggambarkan Airlangga sebagai tokoh politik sentral yang didukung Jokowi, yang bertujuan menjaga stabilitas politik. Berita juga mengindikasikan adanya bias dalam pemberitaan yang cenderung menguntungkan posisi politik Airlangga.Kata Kinci:Wacana Kritis, Norman Fairclough, Berita

This study discusses morphological errors in drama texts with the aim of identifying errors in the use of language rules that are not in accordance with applicable language rules. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of reading, recording, and analyzing information. Abstract

This research aims to describe how Generation Z represents the tradition of pitungan weton through their interactions in the comment sections of TikTok, as well as to analyze how technological mechanisms—such as algorithms, visual content, and viral logic—shape their cognition and attitudes toward the tradition. The research adopts a qualitative paradigm grounded in Stuart Hall’s theory of representation (encoding–decoding model), while Dery’s concept of technoculture is used to understand how cultural meanings are interpreted, negotiated, or rejected within digital spaces. The findings reveal three decoding patterns: (i) dominant position (full acceptance of cultural meaning), (ii) negotiated position (adjustment between cultural values and personal experience), and (iii) oppositional position (rejection of tradition). These representations are not merely individual expressions, but also reflect a broader collective discourse among Generation Z in responding to local culture through digital media.

Abstract

This research aims to present information about epizeuxis repetition style of language found in short stories entitled Ciung Pulang! Asha Ray’s work. The research methods used is qualitative research. Data collection was carried out by listening method with note taking technique. The data found will be analyzed and described. The research results show that there is epizeuxis repetition which describes the atmosphere of the night which is full of tension is increasingly disturbed by the shouting of the word Ciung, create a strong emotional impression, describes a longing or urgent desire for together, describes the importance of the character Amak for the character Apak, shows emotional intensity in his invitation to come home. Epizeuxis repetition contained in that short story emphasize feelings of anxiety or very deeps concern, and create great attention.
