Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of customer service quality and customer service responsiveness on user satisfaction with the Grab application among students of the Faculty of Economics at Universitas Negeri Medan. The background of this research stems from the increasing use of online transportation services, which demands excellent service quality, including interactions with customer service. The study employs a quantitative approach with simple random sampling techniques involving 100 respondents, and data analysis is conducted using SPSS version 26. The results reveal that customer service quality and customer service responsiveness significantly influence user satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. Customer service responsiveness is identified as the most dominant factor, with a regression coefficient of 0.593, compared to customer service quality, which has a coefficient of 0.319. The coefficient of determination (R²) value is 0.412, indicating that 41.2% of the variation in user satisfaction can be explained by the two independent variables. These findings emphasize the importance of improving service quality and responsiveness to enhance user satisfaction and foster customer loyalty in digital application-based services such as Grab.

Abstract

The availability of clean water is a vital aspect in supporting the quality of life of the community, especially in densely populated urban areas such as Medan Helvetia District. This study aims to analyze the projection of clean water needs and availability for the next 50 years, and to assess the balance between the two as a basis for planning clean water infrastructure development. The methods used include calculating domestic and non-domestic water needs, plus an estimate of 30% water loss, and analyzing needs at peak hours and maximum days. The results of the analysis show that with a fixed supply capacity of 1,100 liters per second from SPAM Mebidang, the need for clean water in Medan Helvetia District until 2075 is still in a surplus condition. The highest surplus was recorded at 795.26 liters per second in 2024, and the lowest surplus was 510.77 liters per second in 2075. These findings indicate that the district is projected not to experience a clean water deficit in the long term, as long as the supply capacity remains stable and the distribution system is managed efficiently. Therefore, periodic evaluation and integrated planning are still needed to ensure the sustainability of clean water services in the future.

Abstract

Population growth and urban development have led to a significant increase in clean water demand in Medan Petisah District. This study aims to analyze the projected clean water demand and availability over the next 10, 30, and 50 years. The methods used include population projections based on arithmetic and geometric approaches, as well as water demand estimation categorized into domestic and non-domestic use, referring to national standards (SNI). The results indicate that clean water demand will continue to rise significantly, while water availability is expected to remain stable or even decline due to the degradation of water sources and increased consumption. This study recommends integrated water resource management strategies, improved distribution efficiency, and protection of raw water sources to ensure the sustainability of clean water services in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Influence of Work Environment and Job Satisfaction on Employee Performance with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as a Mediating Variable at PT Toba Pulp Lestari Sumut. This study uses a quantitative method with a population of 200 people and a sample of 133 people with Random Sampling Technique with the Slovin Formula. Data collection method through questionnaire distribution. Structural modeling using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method is used for data analysis. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the work environment has a positive effect on employee performance and the influence of the work environment on employee performance with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as a mediating variable is positive, thus the hypothesis can be accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of e-recruitment and corporate reputation on the job interest of students at Buana Perjuangan University Karawang. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. The sample consists of 100 respondents, who are Management students from the 2022 batch at Buana Perjuangan University Karawang, selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through online questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results show that both e-recruitment and corporate reputation significantly affect students’ job interest. E-recruitment has a positive effect, indicating that an effective digital recruitment system increases students' interest. In contrast, corporate reputation has a negative effect, suggesting that a poor perception of the company can reduce job application interest. Together, these two variables explain 32.9% of the variance in students’ job interest.

Abstract

The implementation of digital attendance systems is increasingly common in the industrial sector to improve employee discipline and productivity. PT Pupuk Kujang has adopted this system to optimize attendance tracking and operational efficiency. A literature review of 10 scientific journals shows that digital attendance using biometrics, facial recognition, and geolocation can minimize data manipulation, increase transparency, and simplify attendance reporting. Studies also emphasize that integrating digital attendance with HR systems, offering flexible attendance settings, and providing employee training significantly enhance system effectiveness. However, challenges such as technical issues, user resistance, and infrastructure limitations must be addressed. For PT Pupuk Kujang, optimizing digital attendance can be achieved through cloud-based system development, network infrastructure upgrades, and linking attendance records to incentive policies. By overcoming these challenges, PT Pupuk Kujang can maximize the benefits of its digital attendance system. An effective system not only improves individual accountability but also strengthens overall work productivity and enhances human resource management within the company.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of online customer reviews on the purchasing decisions of Dhinda Hijab products. In the current digital era, consumers increasingly rely on online reviews from other users before making purchasing decisions. Online customer reviews are considered credible sources of information and can reduce perceived risks for consumers when making online purchases. The research method employed is a quantitative approach, distributing questionnaires to Dhinda Hijab consumers who have read online customer reviews. Data analysis is conducted using simple linear regression to test hypotheses and assess the impact of the online customer review variable on purchasing decisions. The results indicate that online customer reviews have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions for Dhinda Hijab products. The better and more credible the online customer reviews, the higher the level of consumer purchasing decisions for Dhinda Hijab products

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of work discipline, work motivation and work performance on the performance of employees of PT. Indomarco Prismatama Indomaret East Balikpapan Region partially and simultaneously. The research data was obtained from employee performance reports for 5 years from the period 2020 - 2024 with a total of 99 employees (saturated sample) by using multiple linear regression analysis test tools. Based on the results of the hypothesis research test, it was partially shown that the independent variable (work discipline X1) partially had a negative and significant effect on (performance) in obtaining a calculated value of (-4.461) < ttable (1.661) and significance (0.001) < 0.05. The independent variable (motivation X2) partially had a negative and significant effect on (performance) obtained a tcount value of (27.924) > ttable (1.661) and significance (0.001) < 0.05. The independent variable (work performance X3) partially had a positive and insignificant effect on (performance) obtained a calculated value of (1.244) > ttable (1.661) and significance (0.217) < 0.05. Simultaneously, the variables of work discipline, motivation, and work performance had a significant effect on the performance obtained a calculated value of 22,738,965 > from Fhitung = 2.700 and a significant value of 0.001 < 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of leadership style, communication, and work environment on employee job satisfaction at PT. Indopura Utama Tanjung Morawa Kab. Deli Serdang over a three-month period, from March to May 2022. The method used was a census technique, with all 70 employees serving as the research sample. Data were collected through a questionnaire measuring the variables of leadership style, communication, work environment, and employee job satisfaction. The data analysis included validity and reliability tests, descriptive analysis, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression, correlation test, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination test. The descriptive analysis results showed that the variables of leadership style, communication, work environment, and job satisfaction were categorized as good. Based on the partial hypothesis testing (t-test), leadership style, communication, and work environment were found to have a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. The coefficient of determination indicated that these three variables contributed 75.7% to job satisfaction, while the remaining 24.3% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study, such as compensation, work discipline, and motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of training, development, employee performance, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) at PT Pegadaian Medan Sunggal Branch. A quantitative approach was used, with data analysis conducted through Smart PLS version 4.0. The research involved the entire population of employees, totaling 36 individuals, using a census sampling method. The results indicate that both training and development do not have a significant effect on OCB. However, training shows a significant impact on employee performance, while development does not. Additionally, OCB was found to have no significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, the indirect effects of training and development on performance through OCB were also found to be insignificant. These findings suggest that while training may contribute to improved employee performance, OCB does not serve as a strong mediating variable in this organizational context. Therefore, a more integrated human resource development strategy is necessary to optimize both performance outcomes and positive employee behavior in the workplace.
