Abstract

This study explores the marketing strategies of educational services and their influence on student enrollment at MTs Al-Mukrimin Guppi Bulukasa, an Islamic junior high school in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews with school leaders and teachers, and documentation analysis. The findings highlight a three-stage marketing process comprising planning (community outreach and distribution of promotional materials), organizing (establishment of a school-based marketing team), and implementation (building trust through community engagement). These strategies have proven effective in attracting new students and enhancing the institution’s visibility. The study contributes to the limited literature on educational marketing in Islamic schools by offering practical insights into localized and community-centered approaches. It underscores the importance of strategic planning and relationship-building in improving public perception and institutional growth. The implications of this research are relevant for school leaders seeking sustainable enrollment strategies in increasingly competitive educational environments.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic role of facilities and infrastructure optimization in enhancing educational marketing management at SMAN 30 Bone, Indonesia. The research addresses a critical gap in the alignment between physical resources and institutional promotional efforts in secondary education. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving school leaders, teachers, and students. Findings reveal that while the school has implemented relatively effective marketing strategies, the lack of adequate learning facilities and basic infrastructure such as laboratory tools, sports equipment, and religious spaces poses challenges to achieving educational excellence and stakeholder satisfaction. The optimization of both facilities and infrastructure was found to directly influence parents’ and students’ perceptions of educational quality, which in turn affected enrollment decisions. This study contributes to the discourse on education service marketing by highlighting the interdependence between infrastructure development and institutional image-building. The implications underscore the need for integrated planning in resource allocation, particularly for newly established schools seeking to strengthen their competitive positioning. The findings are relevant for policymakers, school administrators, and education planners aiming to enhance school attractiveness and community trust through strategic infrastructure investment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of instructional design in enhancing students' motivation and interest in learning at SMAN 28 Bone. The research was motivated by the crucial role of teachers as instructional designers in creating effective and efficient learning processes. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the instructional design at SMAN 28 Bone has been implemented fairly well through the development of modules and structured design stages. However, students’ learning motivation is still affected by external factors such as peer influence and inadequate learning facilities. Students tend to show greater interest when teachers apply strategies involving practice and hands-on activities, although the lack of instructional media remains a significant obstacle. Overall, the instructional design implemented at SMAN 28 Bone demonstrates potential to improve students’ motivation and interest in learning, but improvements are needed in terms of facilities and a more supportive learning environment.
