Abstract

This study aims to determine differences (1) curriculum structure; (2) industrial work practices; (3) graduate work readiness; and (4) the absorption of graduates between 3-year Vocational Schools and 4-year Vocational School building engineering expertise programs. The research method used was descriptive research with ex post facto approach and survey. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation, interviews and online questionnaires.  The results of this study are as follows: (1) the learning burden on 3-year Vocational High Schools is 5016 JP and 413 KD while the 4-year Vocational School is 6648 JP and 443 KD; (2) apprenticeship implemented at 3 Years Vocational School for 3 months and 4 Year Vocational School for 6-8 months; (3) 3-year SMK graduates 60% of whom are declared ready for work, while 4-year SMK graduates 71.80% of whom are declared more ready to work; and (4) 70% of 3-year vocational school graduates work in a field, while 92% of 4-year SMK graduates work in a field. Abstract

Environmental learning in schools should be based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and based on environmental problems, one of which is Green Consumerism (GC). The problem is the absence of student HOTS profiles based on GC. The purpose of this study was to measure students HOTS based on GC concepts and present them descriptively in the form of profiles. The study was conducted in November-December 2018 at State Junior High School 1 in South Tambun, Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive research. The sample used was 128 students in grade 8th, consisting of 42 male students and 86 female students. The results showed that GC-based HOTS scores were still relatively low. Students overall got an average score of 31.55. The aspect with the highest score was obtained in the analyze (C4) aspect with a score of 3.81, while the aspect with the lowest score was on the create aspect (C6) with a score of 2.57. This is because the information about GC is still not obtained by many students. The conclusion is that students' HOTS scores are low and need to be improved.

Abstract

In this study aims to: (1) determine the effectiveness of behavioral counseling behavior contract techniques in reducing the academic procrastination behavior of class XII IPS MAN 2 Banyuwangi students; (2) find out the differences between students of class XII IPS MAN 2 Banyuwangi between the experimental group and the control group that did not receive treatment. The design used is non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group. The sample of this study was 20 students of class XII IPS MAN 2 Banyuwangi which were divided into 2 groups. Academic procrastination behavior was measured using an academic procrastination behavior questionnaire. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (a) first, the tcount at the output showed the number 27,976 this meant a decrease. If t arithmetic> T table, then H0 is rejected. Which means 27,976> 1,833, thus because H0 is rejected, Ha is accepted, where Ha reads "Behavior Counseling Behavior Contract technique is effective against decreasing academic procrastination behavior of students of class XII IPS MAN 2 Banyuwangi," (b) The results of both studies indicate t-KE ≠ tcount KK (31,771 ≠ 10,801). Therefore, because H0 was rejected, Ha was accepted, where Ha reads "There is a difference in effectiveness between the experimental group that received treatment and the control group that did not receive treatment in reducing the behavior of students' academic procrastination". So it can be concluded that between the experimental group with the control group there are very differences. The final results of this study indicate that the Behavior Counseling Behavior Contract technique can reduce and prevent students' academic procrastination behavior with an increase of 27%.
