This research takes place in the research at MTs Ibrahimy Distric Kalipuro Banyuwangi. The methods used by the authors in this study are: 1) Observation Method, 2) Interview Method, 3) Documentary Method, 4) Questionnaire Method. In this study the authors use a statistical analysis method, where this analysis seeks to present the preparation, analyzing data from the results of the study in the form of numbers both in tabular and graphical form. Based on calculations that the empirical chi value of = 1,011 consulted X ² based on a 5% significance level in the table db = 1 (K-1) (K-1) = 3.841 it turns out that after comparing with chi squared (X²) calculation is greater chi squared table . So that in this study there is no effect of adherence to school norms (discipline) on the discipline of students studying even semester MTs Ibrahimy Distrik Kalipuro Banyuwangi.

The Effect of Study Habits and Learning Motivation together in Workshop Theory for Diploma III Aircraft Engineering Students in Aviation Politechnic Surabaya 2018/2019. This research includes Ex-post Facto with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 48 students of Diploma III Aircraft Engineering in Aviation Politechnic Surabaya 2018/2019. Data collection techniques are done through documentation and questionnaires. Documentation is used to obtain data on the number of students and Workshop Theory Learning Achievement data, while the questionnaire is used to collect data on Learning Habits and Learning Motivation variables that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used simple regression analysis and multiple predictor regression analysis. Before conducting the hypothesis test, the analysis prerequisite test is linearity test and multicollinearity test. Simple regression analysis is used to test the first and second hypotheses, while the double regression analysis of two predictors is used to test the third hypothesis. The results of this study are that there is a positive influence on Study Habits and Learning Motivation on Learning Achievements in Workshop Theory for Students of Diploma III Aircraft Engineering in Aviation Politechnic Surabaya 2018/2019, proven by the results of testing the study habits and learning motivation variables that have a t-value of 0,000. With a t-value below 0.050, the variables of study habits and learning motivation are very significant influences on learning achievement.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to examine the matter of training with the achievement of metacognitive knowledge categorized by HOTS. The research data focuses on the training of the dimension of metacognitive knowledge of HOTS in the books of seventh, eighth, and ninth grade students published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The data collection techniques used are documentation and field notes. The results showed that the dimension of metacognitive knowledge in junior high school students' books was the metacognitive subtype of self-knowledge. Metacognitive knowledge in seventh and ninth grader students is trained through literacy activities and identified as a sub-type of self-knowledge based on the object phrases that wants students to choose books based on their interests and usefulness. The book for eighth grade student’s metacognitive self-knowledge is trained through reflection on learning material that has been learned. The questions categorized HOTS in eighth grade are marked with question words and verbs, and ninth grade are marked with question words. A slight difference is seen in seventh grade which is marked with nouns in the format of assignments in the form of tables.

Abstract

This study was conducted to find out the description of the evaluation of the performance of Unesa Labschool Junior High School Kawung teachers in terms of pedagogical and professional competencies. The method used is qualitative research because it aims to obtain in-depth data and information, so that the goal of knowing and evaluating teacher performance can be achieved. This type of research is an evaluative research, that is, research to look for gaps between real conditions and expectations as determined by existing standards.Subjects in this study were the principal, teachers and students of Unesa Labschool Junior High School Kawung. This study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2019-2020 school year. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documents. The data analysis technique used in this study was an interactive analysis model consisting of three components, namely data reduction, triangulation, data presentation and conclusion making. The results of this study indicate that teacher performance viewed from pedagogical competencies has generally run well and accorded to the academic qualifications and teacher’s competency standards set by the government. However, the weaknesses of teachers that are still very visible are in creativity in the application of learning both methods and strategies, or in making learning media to support teaching and learning activities. Furthermore, the use of technology is still low and most teachers still use conventional methods in teaching. Whereas teacher performance in terms of professional competence is still not in accordance with academic qualification standards and teacher competencies set by the government. There are still weaknesses in the development of creativity related to media or teaching aids that support learning. In addition, the low implementation of Classroom Action Research (CAR) serves to improve the professionalism of teachers themselves. And the last is the utilization of information and communication technology for personal development that has not been maximized.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the project-based learning model on laboratory-scale ethanol production material on the vocational skills of class X students majoring in Industrial Chemistry at SMK PGRI 1 Gresik. The effectiveness criteria are evaluated from student learning outcomes of students' vocational skills scores and student responses to project-based learning. This type of research is research and development (research and development / R&D) with field trials using one group pre-test post-test design. The research subjects were 40 students of SMK PGRI 1 Gresik. The instrument for measuring the effectiveness of project-based learning models on students' vocational skills is the vocational skills observation sheet and the student response questionnaire sheet. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive. The data obtained as follows: All students mastered vocational skills with the highest score obtained was 92.31. Student responses to project-based learning were 91%. Obstacles in carrying out learning activities are a limited number of tools and less time in carrying out experimental activities.Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the project-based learning model on laboratory-based ethanol-making materials is effective for training vocational skills of vocational students.

This study aims to determine the effects resulting from compensation, empowerment and competence on the performance and compensation and empowerment on competence of UNWIR lecturers. The method used in this study is quantitative associative that 104 respondents of UNWIR lecturers are assigned. The data was collected by using performance appraisal instrument by chairman of UNWIR and lecturer response instrument relating to the compensation, empowerment and competence of UNWIR lecturer. Data processing were analyzed using path analysis by LISREL 9.30 software. The result showed that performance appraisal of lecturers of UNWIR by chairman of UNWIR is quite less / low category, response of lecturer on compensation received is sufficient, the empowerment done by UNWIR to the lecturer is enough and the competency assessment of each lecturer are respectively in the good category and overall there is a significant there is a relationship between compensation, empowerment and competence on performance and relationship between compensation and empowerment on competence.

Abstract

The study aims to develop the chemistry subject module and its effectiveness in learning to improve students' critical thinking. It was conducted on the students of class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Pulau-Pulau Terselatan Southwest Maluku. It is the research of development which uses the Borg and Gall (2003) model, who adapted Dick and Carey's model named Instructional System Design which includes ten stages of development. The product of this development research is the chemistry subject module for the lesson about the colloidal system. Afterward, the developed module gets validation test using questionnaires that are given to the experts and the users, to know its feasibility to use in learning. Then, the results indicate that it is in the criteria of very feasible to use in learning. After get validation, it is analyzed using Normalized Gain (N-gain) to determine its effectiveness to improve students' critical thinking. The analysis data is obtained through one group pre-test and post-test design. Then, the result of N-gain analysis is 0.74 categorized as “High” means that there is an increase in students' critical thinking after the application of the module. Thus it can be concluded that the chemistry subject module is suitable for use in learning, and it influences the effectiveness of learning since it can effectively improve students' critical thinking in SMA Negeri 1 Pulau-Pulau Terselatan Southwest Maluku.
