This study seeks to analyze the technique for managing educational and athletic accomplishments in the academic pursuits of PJKR FKIP USK pupils. This study was prompted by the challenges encountered by PJKR FKIP USK students in balancing their time between lectures and training, together with the insufficient support from lecturers for training permissions. These impediments adversely affect academic and athletic performance. Consequently, a robust management plan is essential to facilitate timely completion of studies and attainment of athletic accomplishments for pupils. This research is a qualitative descriptive analysis. Materials and Methods. The research methodology encompassed observation and interviews with faculty and students at PJKR FKIP USK. Results. The analysis indicated that the primary hurdles were scheduling conflicts between lectures and practical sessions, inadequate time management, and insufficient support from certain professors for practice permissions. Conclusion. The proposed method entails dialogue and consensus between lecturers and students to modify schedules, along with enhanced time management strategies.

Abstract

Objective. This investigation seeks to examine the proficiency of foot passing in football matches among students at SMP Negeri 11 Sinjai. Good passing ability stands out as a fundamental skill that significantly enhances team play, ball possession, and the generation of scoring opportunities. Materials and Methods. The approach employed was descriptive quantitative, gathering data from 20 students participating in extracurricular football activities. Results. The findings indicated that most students demonstrated passing ability within the ‘medium’ category, achieving an average score of 12.80. Among the total students tested, there were no individuals classified in the ‘very poor’ category. However, the distribution revealed that 25% fell into the ‘poor’ category, 35% were categorized as ‘moderate’, 25% were in the ‘good’ category, and 10% achieved the ‘excellent’ category. Additional examination indicated that elements like playing experience and training frequency significantly influenced passing ability. This investigation indicates the necessity for a more organized training regimen and an emphasis on fundamental techniques to enhance students' passing abilities. The results are anticipated to significantly enhance the development of football training programmes in junior high schools, while also aiding coaches and educators in crafting more effective strategies to elevate the quality of football games among students. This study highlighted the strengths in analyzing the foot passing skills of SMP Negeri 11 Sinjai students, indicating that most students fell into the 'moderate' category, which suggests potential for further development. Nonetheless, the limitation is evident in the insufficient diversity of skills, as 25% of students fall into the ‘poor’ category. The suggestion for those in the field is to create a more organized training program that emphasizes fundamental techniques. Conclusion. This study highlights the significance of enhancing the quality of football training in educational institutions to develop students' fundamental skills, ultimately benefiting overall team performance.

Abstract

Objective. The deterioration of mental health is a common phenomenon typically seen by the elderly. This condition can be mitigated or suppressed by augmenting physical activity. This study aimed to ascertain the correlation between physical activity and mental health quality in the senior population. Materials and methods. The research employed a cross-sectional design utilizing a cluster sampling technique involving 104 older individuals. The study sample mostly consisted of senior women aged 60-75 years, possessing diverse educational levels, marital statuses, and lacking chronic conditions. Results. The study's results indicated a correlation between physical activity levels and mental health in the elderly (p = 0.000; α = 0.05). Elderly caregivers are anticipated to mitigate mental health deterioration by enhancing physical activity through exercise. Conclusion. Moreover, additional research is anticipated to explore the intensity, duration, frequency, and various forms of physical exercise beneficial for enhancing or at least sustaining mental health in the elderly, thereby providing an updated theoretical framework regarding the impact of physical activity on the mental well-being of older adults.

Abstract

Objectives. This study seeks to:1)determine if there is a relationship between sleep quality and shooting results in petanque games; 2) assess whether stress correlates with shooting results in petanque games. The findings of this study may serve as a valuable resource for coaches aiming to enhance the performance of petanque athletes, particularly in the area of shooting results improvement. Materials and Methods. This investigation is of a correlational nature. The participants in this study consisted solely of novice petanque players located in Central Sulawesi. A total of 31 individuals participated in the study. The instruments or methods for collecting data from the three variables include the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index questionnaire, a stress measurement questionnaire, and a petanque shooting test. The analysis employed in this study to examine the data is the partial correlation test. Results. The findings from the study indicate that the significance value for the relationship between sleep quality and shooting results in the petanque game is 0.892 ( > 0.05). This suggests that the alternative hypothesis in this study is accepted, while the null hypothesis is not accepted. This indicates that there is no correlation between sleep quality and shooting performance in the petanque game; 2) The significance value found for the relationship between stress variables and shooting performance variables in the petanque game is 0.934 ( > 0.05). This suggests that the alternative hypothesis in this study is accepted, while the null hypothesis is not accepted. This indicates that there is no correlation between stress levels and performance outcomes in petanque games. Conclusion. The findings of this study indicate the following: 1) No correlation exists between sleep quality and shooting performance in petanque; 2) No correlation exists between stress levels and shooting performance in petanque.
