Abstract

The writing style in features is more flexible and can be more creative and tends to be longer than other news, the human interest feature has the ability to produce the reader’s emotional reaction. Research objectives want to know aspects of clarity of writing style such as language, narrative, sentence structure, or typical elements in writing detikjabar. The research method uses the semiotics of Charles Sanders Peirce, with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the sign used by detikjabar was only a slightly transparent white watermark in the lower right corner of the picture. Objects can be a representation in mind and can be in the form of something real. The interpretant in the form of the meaning of the sign, namely January is never ashamed even though it is dressed not fashionable. In detik, certain news writing is always warning or warning in each of the first paragraphs, to remind the reader that this news contains traumatic elements. The language used is classified as formal but still maintains emotional elements of humanity in its delivery.

Abstract

Visual communication through social media has become an integral part of today's digital culture, with beauty tutorial content on platforms like TikTok gaining significant popularity. However, few studies have paid attention to the impact of beauty tutorial content on TikTok on the makeup interest of followers on the @focallure.live account. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of beauty tutorial content videos on TikTok on the interest of @focallure.live followers in makeup. A quantitative approach was used in this study, with data collected through questionnaire filling. Data analysis includes testing of instruments, validity, reliability, normality, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression analysis, and testing of partial hypotheses. The results of the study show that the content of beauty tutorials significantly affects the makeup interest of followers of the @focallure.live account. It was found that the variables Providing Information and Explaining the Process in the tutorial video had the greatest influence on makeup interest. The study concluded that beauty tutorial content on TikTok plays an important role in shaping the makeup interest of @focallure.live account followers. These findings provide deeper insights into the impact of social media on consumer behavior in the beauty industry.

Abstract

Digital da'wah is one solution to increasing understanding of religion. This has certainly provided a new perspective in the development of the world of da'wah. The ease of accessing and obtaining information is one of the reasons for the existence of digital da'wah. However, despite the conveniences offered, it turns out there are several problems that must be faced. Not being wise in using technology often has serious consequences for its users. This research wants to find out how effective the use of digital media Salam TV is in da'wah activities to increase understanding of religion among students in North Sumatra, especially at the North Sumatra State Islamic University (UINSU). This research data comes from digital literature, such as journals, websites and online documents. The research approach uses a qualitative approach by applying the phenomenological method as a methodological basis. Data collected from various sources is then reduced and constructed into a new, more complete concept. The data analysis carried out adapted qualitative data analysis techniques. The research results show that the use of Salam TV digital media in da'wah activities must be supported by good collaboration between preachers, media and students in order to increase understanding of religion. Apart from that, it is important to have ongoing da'wah activities so that they can continue to motivate students to understand religious learning as a whole.

Abstract

The use of influencers has become widespread among companies or business entities to promote their products and services. Influencers are required to convey persuasive messages through endorsement content to increase purchase intention among the public. This research aims to measure the extent of the influence of Fadil Jaidi's persuasive communication on the purchasing intention in Scarlett Whitening products among Instagram followers @fadiljaidi. This research uses the Elaboration Likelihood Theory to determine which route followers @fadiljaidi take in processing the persuasive messages. Researchers use a quantitative approach with correlation research type and positivism paradigm. The data is collected through online questionnaires distributed to 400 respondents Instagram followers @fadiljaidi. Data analysis techniques include t-test hypothesis, simple linear regression test, and coefficient of determination test. The results show that Fadil Jaidi as a male non-beauty influencer has succeeded in carrying out persuasive communication of the Scarlett Whitening product as a beauty product to his followers on Instagram @fadiljaidi. Influencer Fadil Jaidi's persuasive communication has a high influence on purchase intention Scarlett Whitening products, as evidenced by respondents being more influenced through the central route than the peripheral route when processing the persuasive message conveyed by Fadil Jaidi.

Abstract

The facts show that Self-Acceptance of Unwanted Pregnancy occurs a lot, especially because sexual relations are increasingly considered normalized by today's teenagers. Among the factors that encourage unwanted pregnancies to occur is communication between the couple and their environment. Therefore, this research aims to determine the Communication Patterns in the Family and Environment in Self-Acceptance of Unwanted Pregnancy Decisions in Premarital Relationships. This research is qualitative research with a phenomological approach. As informants for this research were 3 people who were perpetrators of unwanted pregnancies, 1 person from the perpetrator's family, and 1 child and adolescent psychology counselor in the city of Bandung. The results of the research state that in making decisions in conditions of Unwanted Pregnancy, everything happens in conditions that can cause good or bad thinking. The communication that occurs starts from the woman's side to ask her partner for responsibility and then tells the woman's family. So in this action, there were several different responses that the female perpetrators received from their partners. So with the differences in responses that occur, in the end the decisions and conditions that occur are also different.

Abstract

Migrant students often have difficulty understanding the culture and language of local students. So that students anxious when meeting and interanting directly with students on the STAB Negeri Raden Wijaya Wonogiri campus. The adaptability and communication skills of migrant students are relatively low due to the cultural differences between migrant students and local environment. This research aims to analyze the adaptation and communication skills of migrant students in Wonogiri. In this research, researchhers used quantitative methods and the research was designed as explanatory survey research. The results of the research show that overseas students are able to interact and communicate with local students who of course have different cultures. Apart from that, as long as migrant students adapt and communicate, migrant students learn a lot about the culture that exists in the STAB Negeri Raden Wijaya Wonogiri campus environment and they learn that adaptation and communication are really needed when they in a new living environment. The statistical test results show that each categories shows a high category and percentage.

Abstract

Korean dramas or (Drakor) have become a global phenomenon, gaining widespread popularity around the world. They are recognized not only as entertainment but also as complex reflections of social dynamics. The presence of Alpha Female characters in Drakor signifies support for gender equality and indicates societal shifts in views on women's roles in various aspects of life. This study aims to understand the representation of Alpha Female characters in the Korean drama Queenmaker hoping to gain new insights into societal perceptions of women beyond the domestic sphere. Using a qualitative approach and Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis, the research found that Alpha Female characters exhibit leadership, confidence, and strength in facing challenges. From Peirce's perspective, these characters become important symbols that reinforce women's roles in fighting injustice and advocating for moral values. The findings underscore that Drakor is not just entertainment, but also a mirror of social realities that significantly influence perceptions of gender equality, expanding our understanding of women's roles in popular culture and the importance of gender equality in society.

Abstract

Researchers identified the problem in this research, namely how much influence Instagram content and the credibility of beauty influencer Nanda Arsyinta have on teenagers' lifestyles. The aim of this research is to explain how much influence Instagram content and the credibility of beauty influencer Nanda Arsyinta have on teenagers' lifestyles. Whether Instagram content and credibility are high or low will make followers trust him and follow his lifestyle. Therefore, Instagram content and Nanda Arsyinta's credibility as a beauty influencer are very interesting to research, whether there is an influence on teenagers' lifestyles or not. This research method is quantitative research with descriptive research type. In this research, researchers used non-probability sampling techniques, with a total of 400 teenagers aged 10-28 years. Based on the results of simultaneous hypothesis testing (f test) it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, because , it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of Instagram content and the credibility of beauty influencer Nanda Arsyinta on teenage lifestyles.

Abstract

It has been reported in the literature that students experience a variety of communication difficulties while participating in online learning, both among themselves and with instructors. During this pandemic, as is widely known, extensive research on online learning has been carried out in order to better understand it. Research on communication between lecturers and students, on the other hand, is still extremely scarce. As a result, the purpose of this study is to determine whether effective communication between lecturers and students has occurred in online learning. The quantitative nature of this study is demonstrated by the use of a five-point Likert scale online questionnaire with six closed-ended questions. An analysis of the data collected from 500 student participants representing public and private universities was carried out quantitatively using the descriptive statistics method. When it comes to online learning environments during the COVID-19 pandemic, the findings show that participants have a generally positive experience with them, according to the findings. The fact that their classes are conducted online does not prevent them from maintaining effective communication and interaction with their classmates and lecturers. This demonstrates the efficiency with which online classroom communication can be conducted. The current study's implications and limitations are also discussed.

Abstract

This research discusses the Public Relations (PR) strategy of the Ngampooz Startup through the Ngampooz Internship program. The aim is to understand and analyze the strategic steps taken by Ngampooz in maintaining business and building long-term relationships with its public. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving interviews, documentation, and observation. The research refers to the Cutlip, Center, and Broom PR strategy model, which involves Defining the Problem, Planning and Programming, Taking Action and Communication, and Evaluating the Program. The research results show that Ngampooz is effective in carrying out these processes through the Ngampooz Internship. In defining the problem, Ngampooz carried out opportunity analysis, internal brainstorming, and idea generation. The planning stage involves planning goals, objectives, program packaging strategies, and program information delivery strategies. The process continues with action and communication via Instagram and company networking. Program evaluation is carried out through monthly monitoring. The research results confirm that Ngampooz's PR strategy through the Ngampooz Internship has succeeded in building public trust and long-term relationships. With structured and proactive steps, Ngampooz creates a positive impact on the company's communications and interactions with its public.
