Abstract

A study has been conducted on the suitability test of radiation protection equipment based on the Exposure Index (EI) at Bali Mandara Hospital. The data used in this study are primary data obtained by conducting X-ray irradiation on PPE, namely Apron, Gonad Shield, thyroid Shield, gloves, and glasses using an X-ray machine. Then the irradiation results are processed using a CR system machine to obtain EI values using variations in tube voltage of 80 Kv, 100 Kv, 130 Kv, and a time current of 18 mAs. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out, the average EI value was obtained with a tube voltage of 80 kV for Apron 1004.60 ± 1.72, gonad shield 1302.80 ± 1.94, Thyroid shield 1444.60 ± 1.63, glasses 1375.40 ± 1.72, gloves 1478.60 ± 0.93, for a tube voltage of 100 kV the EI value for the apron was 1511.20 ± 1.24, gonad shield 1697.80 ± 1.65, thyroid shield 1810.60 ± 1.57, glasses 1598.60 ± 1.33, gloves 1819.40 ± 0.75, for a tube voltage of 130 kV 1831.00±1.41, gonad shield 2090.60±1.21, thyroid shield 2129.00±2.00, glasses 2980.20±1.07, gloves 2114.00±1.41. The EI value obtained using 80 kV tube voltage is still within the limits set by PERKA BAPETEN No.8 of 2011, namely 1300-1800

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan serta perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik setelah diterapkannya model Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) berbantuan media Amrita dan model Inquiry Learning berbantuan media Amrita pada materi suhu dan kalor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen melalui non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian terdiri atas 207 peserta didik kelas XI di SMAN 14 Garut, dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI-5 sebagai kelas eksperimen pertama (31 peserta didik) dan kelas XI-6 sebagai kelas eksperimen kedua (30 peserta didik). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen pertama mencapai 90% untuk aktivitas guru dan 84% untuk aktivitas peserta didik, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen kedua mencapai 89% untuk aktivitas guru dan 82% untuk aktivitas peserta didik. Keduanya termasuk kategori sangat baik. Peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis ditunjukkan oleh nilai N-Gain, yaitu 0,75 (kategori tinggi) untuk kelas eksperimen pertama dan 0,59 (kategori sedang) untuk kelas eksperimen kedua. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan independent t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H₀ ditolak. Dengan demikian, terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan model GDL berbantuan Amrita dan model Inquiry Learning berbantuan Amrita pada materi suhu dan kalor.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPaCK)-based assessment instrument to measure and support the improvement of pedagogical competence among pre-service physics teachers. The instrument was developed in the form of reasoned multiple-choice items that integrate Content Knowledge (CK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Technological Knowledge (TK), and their interrelationships within the TPACK framework in the General Physics I course, which covers fundamental mechanics concepts. The study employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model, limited to the development stage. The distribution of test items indicates proportional representation of CK, PK, TK, and integrated TPaCK aspects. The developed instrument consisted of 23 items and was piloted with first-semester students of the Physics Education Study Program who had completed the General Physics I course. Item analysis included tests of validity, reliability, difficulty level, and discrimination index. The results showed that 12 items met the eligibility criteria and were considered valid and reliable as a TPaCK-based assessment instrument. These findings suggest that the developed TPaCK assessment has the potential to serve as a contextual and relevant evaluation tool for measuring the pedagogical competence of pre-service physics teachers in technology-enhanced learning environments

Abstract

Literasi digital telah menjadi kompetensi mendasar dalam pembelajaran abad 21, tetapi praktik asesmen masih cenderung mengukur keterampilan teknis tanpa mempertimbangkan dimensi efikasi diri siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengembangan asesmen literasi digital pada pembelajaran IPA yang dapat meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa. Studi pendahuluan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan wawancara semi-terstruktur terhadap empat guru IPA di Provinsi Jambi dan observasi pembelajaran. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga temuan utama: (1) infrastruktur teknologi cukup memadai namun terdapat kesenjangan kompetensi digital antar guru; (2) siswa memiliki keterampilan teknis yang baik tetapi lemah dalam literasi informasi kritis; dan (3) praktik asesmen efikasi diri belum dilakukan secara sistematis. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya dilakukan pengembangan instrumen asesmen yang mengintegrasikan tujuh aspek literasi digital dengan tiga dimensi efikasi diri (magnitude, generality, strength). Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada kerangka konseptual integrasi literasi digital dan efikasi diri serta memberikan rekomendasi praktis untuk pengembangan profesional guru, penyediaan infrastruktur memadai, dan kebijakan kurikulum yang mendukung pengembangan kedua kompetensi tersebut dalam pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

The Twin Paradox stands as one of the most challenging thought experiments in Einstein's special theory of relativity, seemingly revealing an internal contradiction within the theory itself. This paradox illustrates the scenario of twin siblings where one travels through space at relativistic speeds while the other remains on Earth. A naive analysis from both perspectives yields contradictory conclusions: each twin predicts the other would be younger. This apparent contradiction forms the core of the paradox. The paradox can be completely resolved within the framework of special relativity without needing to invoke general relativity. This research uses a library research method by collecting data from various relevant sources that support the twin paradox in the concept of time expansion. Experimental verification through the Hafele-Keating experiment with atomic clocks and observations of atmospheric muon decay confirms the theoretical predictions.

Abstract

Perubahan iklim merupakan fenomena global yang ditandai oleh perubahan kondisi iklim jangka panjang, baik dalam bentuk kenaikan suhu rata-rata permukaan bumi, perubahan distribusi curah hujan, maupun meningkatnya frekuensi kejadian iklim ekstrem. Penelitian ini bertujuan Mendeskripsikan dampak perubahan iklim terhadap pola curah hujan di Indonesia, Mengidentifikasi tren dan pola yang berubah berdasarkan kajian literatur, Memberikan gambaran potensi risiko dan tantangan akibat perubahan curah hujan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan iklim di Indonesia telah menimbulkan dampak nyata terhadap pola curah hujan. Terjadi pergeseran musim, peningkatan intensitas hujan ekstrem, serta periode kering yang lebih panjang di sejumlah wilayah. Fenomena ini disebabkan oleh kombinasi antara pemanasan global, perubahan sistem monsun, serta pengaruh fenomena global seperti El Niño, La Niña, dan Indian Ocean Dipole. Dampaknya meluas ke berbagai sektor, terutama pertanian, sumber daya air, dan lingkungan hidup, serta meningkatkan risiko bencana hidrometeorologi. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman terhadap pola curah hujan dan faktor penyebabnya sangat penting dalam merancang strategi adaptasi dan mitigasi perubahan iklim yang efektif di Indonesia.

Abstract

The transportation sector on land in Indonesia is responsible for about 27% of the country's total greenhouse gas emissions, which has a big effect on global warming (KLHK, 2021; WRI Indonesia, 2024). This study looks at trends in vehicle emissions, the main ways emissions are measured, and where more research is needed. It uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The research searched five major databases: Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, and Sinta, covering the time from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2025. Out of 512 records found, 26 articles were included after going through a careful selection process. The results show that the number of cars owned increased by about 7–8% each year from 2015 to 2019, and this rate went up to 10–12% every year between 2021 and 2025 after the pandemic. By April 2025, the total number of vehicles in the country was around 168 million, with motorcycles making up most of that number, between 139 and 157 million. Most studies used the bottom-up method (69% of them), and most empirical research was done in Jakarta (14 articles), Surabaya (8 articles), and Bandung (4 articles). Medium-sized cities like Palembang, Medan, and Makassar have not been studied much and are considered scientific blind spots. In 2025, the transportation sector is expected to account for about 24.63% of the country's greenhouse gas emissions in 2024 and might rise to 28% of total carbon emissions from transport. During the dry season, urban areas have air pollution levels that are 42–57% from motor vehicles. More research in these cities is needed to help Indonesia reach its 2030 Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) goals. This includes making better emission inventories and looking at possible ways to reduce emissions, such as switching to low-emission vehicles, which could help avoid up to 170 million tons of carbon emissions by 2040.

Abstract

Bali Island is located in an active tectonic zone due to the meeting of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian Plates, thus experiencing significant seismic activity. This study aims to analyze the seismicity characteristics, distribution, and magnitude of peak ground acceleration (PGA), and evaluate earthquake risk in Bali Island. Earthquake data for the period 1980–2023 were analyzed based on spatial and temporal distributions and the Gutenberg-Richter equation to assess the relationship between earthquake frequency and magnitude. The analysis results show that Bali's seismicity is dominated by shallow earthquakes (<60 km) with moderate magnitudes (4.5 ≤ M < 6.0) to large magnitudes (M ≥ 6.0). The highest earthquake density is in the Central and Eastern regions of Bali with an earthquake density reaching 0.02 events/km². PGA values ​​range from low to exceed 0.4 g, especially in the Central and Southeast regions associated with active faults and the Southern subduction zone. These findings provide an important basis for spatial planning, earthquake-resistant building structure design, and earthquake risk mitigation strategies on the island of Bali.

Abstract

Rainfall is one of the most important hydrological parameters; however, the availability of complete rainfall data is often constrained by missing records at observation stations. Therefore, rainfall estimation methods are required to maintain data continuity. This study aims to analyze the performance of several rainfall estimation methods and to evaluate the effects of distance and the number of rain gauge stations on the estimation results. This research employs a quantitative approach using monthly rainfall data from 2014 to 2023 obtained from five rain gauge stations located in Badung regency, Bali. The estimation methods applied in this study include the Inverse Square Distance method, Normal Ratio method, Arithmetic Mean method, and the United States Weather Bureau method. Data processing and analysis were conducted using Microsoft Excel. The performance of the estimation methods was evaluated using the Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and the correlation coefficient (R). The results indicate that all estimation methods produce very good correlation with the observed rainfall data, with correlation values ranging from 0.907837 to 0.999341. However, the correlation tends to decrease as the distance between rain gauge stations increases, and the addition of more stations does not necessarily improve the correlation linearly, but instead shows a fluctuating pattern. This study is expected to provide a reference for selecting appropriate rainfall estimation methods based on the spatial characteristics of rain gauge stations

Abstract

Keterbatasan media pembelajaran dan alat peraga IPA di sekolah dasar menyebabkan proses pembelajaran IPA masih cenderung bersifat teoritis dan kurang memberikan pengalaman belajar secara langsung kepada peserta didik. Kondisi tersebut menuntut adanya inovasi media pembelajaran yang sederhana, ekonomis, dan mudah diterapkan di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Kit IPA Edukatif dari barang bekas sebagai media pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang meliputi tahap pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji coba lapangan, revisi produk, dan implementasi produk akhir. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa seperangkat alat peraga IPA sederhana dari barang bekas seperti botol plastik, kardus, sedotan, dan bahan lingkungan lainnya untuk menjelaskan konsep-konsep IPA dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan kit IPA edukatif mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar, keaktifan, dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil angket respon peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 76.25% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, kit IPA edukatif dari barang bekas layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran IPA yang ekonomis, praktis, inovatif, dan mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih aktif serta bermakna di sekolah dasar. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan barang bekas sebagai media pembelajaran tidak hanya membantu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA, tetapi juga dapat menumbuhkan kreativitas dan kepedulian lingkungan peserta didik sejak dini.
