Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of Indonesian politeness in the speech acts of the people around Belawan Bahagia (environment XIX). This study uses the qualitative research method of Leech's theory in the data acquisition process. In collecting data, the researcher used the observing and tapping method accompanied by the proficient involved listening technique, the proficient free listening technique, and the note taking technique. The results of data analysis and discussion of Indonesian politeness research in the speech acts of the people around Belawan Bahagia (environment XIX), the researcher found 3 forms of speech acts, namely (1) 2 data of locutionary speech acts, (2) 1 data of perlocutionary speech acts, ( 3) illocutionary speech acts as much as 1 data. And found 6 politeness maxims, namely (1) 1 data maxim of wisdom, (2) 1 data maxim of acceptance, (3) 1 data maxim of generosity, (4) 1 data maxim of modesty, (5) 1 data maxim of conformity 1 data, and (6) the maxim of sympathy as much as 2 data. Locutionary speech acts and sympathy maxims are mostly found by researchers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of the moral message in Ahmad Tohari's collection of short stories Senyum Karyamin and describe the way of delivery in the short story collection of Smile Karyamin by Ahmad Tohari. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Collecting data in this study using reading and note techniques. The results of this study indicate a form of moral message, namely hard work, loyal friends, tolerance, mutual help, mutual respect, don't be arrogant, responsibility, self-introspection, patience, and honesty. The results of further research, namely the way of conveying moral messages are divided into two, namely directly and indirectly. Direct delivery can be seen through monologues and dialogues, while indirect delivery can be seen through the context of events.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using the canva application media on the explanatory text writing skills of class VIII students at HKBP Sidorame Middle School Medan T.P 2022/2023. This research uses quantitative experimental research with a two group posttest-only control design. The population in the research was all class VIII students totaling 64 students, namely class VIII-A with 32 students and VIII-B with 32 students. The data analysis techniques used were normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. After conducting research for pretest and posttest experiments using the canva application media, the average score for the control class was 61.56 with a standard deviation of 10.78 and the experimental class average was 81.25 with a standard deviation of 9.60. The pre-test and post-test data prerequisite test results stated that the sample had a normal and homogeneous distribution. From the results of testing the research hypothesis, a "t" test was carried out at a significant level of α= 0.05, obtained Fcount Ftable = (7.63178 1.66980). Thus it is concluded that there is a significant influence on the use of the canva application media.

Abstract

This research aims to describe morphological interference and the factors that cause morphological interference. The subject in this research is a speech communties in Rajekwesi Street RT 02 RW 07 Mojokerto City. This research approach is theoritical and metodological approach. Theoritical approach are using in this research is a sociolinguistic, while method in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data obtain from listening and note technique on data card. Analysis data in this research is a matching method. The result in this research consist of Javanese morphological interference which form (a) prefix n-, m-, ny-, nge-, and ke-, (b) infix -em-, and -er-,(c) sufix -en, -an, -ne, and -no, (d) confix n – i, diper – no, ke – an, ng – no, nge – i, and di – no. There are two factors that cause morphological interference in this study, the loss of morphemes and the bilingualism of the speech participants.

Abstract

Important to pay attention to the cognitive level contained in the questions in class X Indonesian textbooks published by the Ministry of Education and Research and Technology so that success in learning can be measured. This study uses a qualitative method with a content analysis approach. The purpose of this study is to describe the items contained in Indonesian language textbooks for class X published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The theory used is cognitive level based on Anderson and Krathwohl's taxonomy. Cognitive levels based on Anderson and Krathwohl's taxonomy are divided into six classifications, namely remembering (C1), understanding (C2), applying (C3), applying (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6). The results in this study were that the level of questions most commonly found in class X Indonesian textbooks was the applying level (C4) which was 27.43% and the least applying (C3) was 3.98%.

Abstract

This thesis is motivated by increasingly sophisticated tecnological develoments in learning media, it is very important to motivate students in improving writing skills. High school year 2022-2023 and be able to find out what obstacles are faced in using Qr Code learning media to improve the ability to write biographical texts by class X MAS Al-Washliyah Tebing Tinggi City in The 2022-2023 school year.This Type of experimental and survey research methods.The population of this study amounted to 159 students, while the sample of this study amounted 40 students. The result of this study can be seen that from the results of the pre-test (without media) there were 33 students who scored 20-74 and those who scored above the KKM were 7 students with scores between 76-82. While from the results of the post-test (whith the media)  student got a score of 74 and 39 other students got a score of 76-94. So this study concluded that the use of  QR (Quick Response) Code media to improve the writing ability of class X MAS AL-Washliyah Tebing Tinggi city in the 2022-2023 Academic year, this can be seen from the students writing ability in writing biographical texts according to predetermined criteria, students can understand the language used in writing biographical student write down the superior characters of the characters texts identify aspects.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan fonetis vokal dan diftong bahasa Kerinci Desa Hiang Tinggi. Jenis penelitiannya kualitatif deskriptif. Data berupa bahasa Kerinci Desa Hiang Tinggi berdasarkan daftar kosakata oleh Sever Pop. Lokasinya di Desa Hiang Tinggi. Kehadiran peneliti sebagai pengamat. Instrument yaitu peneliti sendiri. Untuk memperoleh data, peneliti memilih beberapa orang sebagai informan. Sumber data berasal dari tuturan penutur asli bahasa Kerinci Desa Hiang Tinggi. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu metode cakap dengan teknik pancing dan metode simak dengan teknik rekam. Teknik pengujian keabsahan data yaitu triangulasi dibantu 2 orang penutur asli Hiang Tinggi bukan seorang informan untuk mengecek kebenaran data yang dikumpul. Hasil penelitian, ada 6 vokal : [a][i][u][e][o][ǝ], 9 diftong : [eo][ai][au][ao][ea][ae][eu][oe][oi]. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahasa Kerinci Desa Hiang Tinggi penggunaan diftong lebih banyak dibandingkan vokal.

Abstract

Language cannot be separated from human life. Interaction is something that occurs in social activities between individuals, using language intermediaries as media. Language is a sound symbol system that is arbitrary and meaningful, used by the community or a group as a means of communication. The language that is spoken by each individual sometimes gets interference, when acquiring language with unclear pronunciation of words. This research is related to language disorders in children aged 7 years, (psycholinguistic study) with the aim of identifying language disorders and their causes. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data were obtained by using the technique of listening to interviews. The results of the research were obtained in the form of language disorders namely, lisp (lipsing), pelo (slurring) and the release of the phoneme money due to internal and external reasons.

Abstract

The background of this research is that students are still very dependent on teachers and are not used to looking for alternative problem solving independently. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the structure of the procedural text on the results of student worksheets in the application of project-based learning models in class VIIF students. The structure of the procedure text that will be described includes the title, objectives, tools and materials and the steps. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative which will later describe the structure of the procedure text on student worksheets. The techniques used in this research are test techniques and non-test techniques. Evidence at the observation stage students are able to make a good title according to the contents of the procedure text steps made, are able to describe the purpose of the procedure text according to the written procedure text, are able to mention tools and materials in full as needed, and are able to mention the steps for using conjunctions, prohibitive sentences, imperative sentences, and solicitation sentences.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Untuk Mengetahui Proses Pengembangan Materi Ajar Teks Biografi Menggunakan Vlog (Video Blog) Pada Kelas X SMA. (2) Untuk mengetahui kelayakan Materi Ajar Teks Biografi Menggunakan Vlog (Video Blog) Pada Siswa Kelas X SMA. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MAS Eria Medan. Metode pada pengembangan dan penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Research Development (RD) dan Penelitian ini mengacu pada model Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi dari Sugiyono (2017: 54), model ini meliputi 1) Potensi dan masalah, 2) Pengumpulan data, 3) Desain Produk, 4) Validasi Desain, 5) Revisi Desain, 6) Uji Coba Produk, 7) Revisi Produk, 8) Uji Coba Pemakaian, 9) Revisi Produk, 10) Produk Masal. Namun, pada pengembangan dan penelitian ini, peneliti membatasi langkah-langkah pengembangan hanya sampai pada 5 tahap, yaitu: 1) Potensi dan masalah, 2) Pengumpulan data, 3) Desain Produk, 4) Validasi Desain, dan 5) Revisi Desain. Hasil dari pengembangan dan penelitian ini memiliki tingkat kevalidan dan kelayakan ahli materi pembelajaran adalah 85% yang termasuk kategori layak. Serta memiliki tingkat kevalidan ahli desain media 85,2 % yang termasuk kategori layak. Serta penilaian dari guru mata pelajaran yaitu 87,5 %.
