Abstract

Student-Centered Learning (SCL) is a learning model that places students at the center of the learning process, encouraging them to be more active, independent, and responsible in understanding the material. In the Merdeka Curriculum, this model provides flexibility for educators to design more relevant learning experiences. Several methods within SCL include Student Team Achievement Division (STAD), Small Group Discussion, Discovery Learning, Cooperative Learning, and Project-Based Learning (PjBL). The STAD method is widely applied as it emphasizes teamwork in understanding the material while maintaining individual evaluation. This learning model has been proven to enhance students’ motivation, critical thinking skills, and social interaction. However, implementing SCL also comes with challenges, such as requiring more time and demanding teachers to take on a more active role as facilitators. With proper implementation, SCL can help students achieve better comprehension and develop essential skills for both academic and professional success.

Abstract

Generation Z, which includes individuals born between 1995 and 2010, grew up amidst the era of digitalization and globalization. This condition allows them to more easily access various types of information, including topics related to suicide. This study aims to identify the relationship between alexithymia and resilience with suicidal tendencies in generation Z. A quantitative correlational approach was used in this study. A quantitative correlational approach was used in this study to analyze the strength and direction of the relationship between several variables. The population studied consisted of generation Z adolescents aged 18 to 23 years who had experienced suicidal thoughts or intentions. A Likert model attitude scale was used to collect data. The results showed a simultaneous relationship of the independent variables alexithymia (X1) and resilience (X2) to suicidal tendencies (Y) resulting in an R-square value of 0.439 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.01), which indicates a positive relationship with a moderate category. While the partial correlation test results show that alexithymia is a positive predictor (t = 9.133) for suicidal tendencies and resilience is a negative predictor (t = -4.317). Based on the results of the analysis in this study, it can be concluded that high levels of alexithymia and low resilience have a positive relationship with increased suicidal tendencies, and vice versa.

Abstract

Intense social media use among Generation Z has led to idealized self-presentation behavior that often does not align with reality. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and narcissism with self-presentation on social media in Generation Z, both partially and simultaneously. The subjects of the study were 151 respondents from Generation Z who were active on social media platforms. Using a quantitative approach, the data were analyzed through a regression test. The results showed that narcissism had a significant correlation with self-presentation (t = 2.397, p = 0.018), while self-esteem did not show a significant relationship (p = 0.270). Simultaneous analysis showed that self-esteem and narcissism together influenced self-presentation with a sig value of 0.010. Although the contribution of narcissism is more dominant, with a practical contribution of 4.6%, overall, these two variables only explain a small part of the factors that influence self-presentation (R² = 0.060). Thus, narcissism is a dominant factor in self-presentation behavior, while the contribution of both to the model is still limited. This study recommends exploring additional psychological variables to gain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

Nurses are an important profession in the demanding medical workforce, making them vulnerable to work pressure, high emotional involvement, and excessive empathy. This pressure can lead to unhappiness at work and the desire to resign. This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on happiness at work in nurses. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive influence of work-life balance on happiness at work in nurses. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Work-life balance Scale and the SHAW Scale (The Shortened Version of HAW). The number of samples used was 143 nurses working in the DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and Banten regions aged over 21 years. With the criteria for length of service for 1 year. The sampling technique used incidental sampling. The data analysis technique was carried out by simple regression with the help of the SPSS program. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of 27.5% while the remaining 72.5% is influenced by other variables outside the study, which means that the high work-life balance in nurses is positively correlated with the level of happiness at work in nurses, and vice versa.

Abstract

The construction industry is one of the important sectors in developing the country. The tight competition and the heavy construction work rhythm, compared to other sectors, require construction actors to manage company resources effectively. As a sector that contributes significantly to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), construction companies employ a large number of human resources. They must minimize employee turnover to prevent fluctuations that can hinder ongoing projects. This can be achieved by paying attention to employee welfare, one aspect of which is employee satisfaction at work. This study aims to understand and analyze the influence between job satisfaction and turnover intention in employees in the construction sector.  This research design employs a quantitative method and utilizes a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 121 employees working in the construction field.  The job satisfaction measuring instrument has a value (α) = 0.837 with 17 valid items, and the turnover intention measuring instrument has a value (α) = 0.816 with 5 valid items. This study employs a simple linear regression analysis technique, yielding a significant value of 0.000 and a regression equation of Y = 39.304 - 0.428. Based on these results, the hypothesis in this study is accepted, namely that job satisfaction has a negative impact on turnover intention among construction sector employees. Job satisfaction contributes 64% to turnover intention among construction sector employees, with the remaining 36% influenced by other factors not discussed in this study.

Abstract

Digital transformation has brought about significant changes to the world of work, including how individuals balance their time between professional responsibilities and personal lives. The concept of Work-Life Integration (WLI) is becoming increasingly relevant, especially for Generation Z, who grew up in the digital era and have expectations of flexible work arrangements. This study aims to investigate the level of work-life integration (WLI) among Generation Z workers in Indonesia. A non-experimental, quantitative research method was employed, utilizing purposive sampling for data collection. This study used the Work-Life Limits Enactment Scale as an instrument. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 196 working Generation Z respondents. The results showed that the level of WLI among Generation Z fell into the low category, with a mean score of M = 3.79, which is lower than the hypothetical mean. In addition, the Work-to-Life dimension recorded a higher average score (M=4.04) compared to the Life-to-Work dimension (M=3.54). These findings suggest that Generation Z still faces challenges in integrating their work and personal lives amidst the demands of a flexible work system. This condition can be taken into consideration by companies when formulating policies aimed at improving WLI. In addition, a significant difference (t=2.00, p=0.047) was found between the level of WLI and the presence of household assistants, indicating that the level of WLI in Generation Z is higher than that of Generation Z.
