Abstract

Qur'anic recitation has excellent potential as a psychological therapy method to address mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of recitation through a multidimensional approach in improving individual mental well-being. The method employed is a qualitative literature study involving the analysis of relevant national and international journals. The results showed that Qur'anic recitation contributes to lowering stress levels, improving mindset, and strengthening emotional resilience through spiritual closeness. However, challenges such as a lack of understanding of the verses' meaning and indiscipline in recitation practice are obstacles that need to be overcome. This study recommends a strategy of professional mentoring, the utilization of digital technology, and the strengthening of tilawah-based communities to optimize its effectiveness. The findings reinforce the potential of tilawah as a model of Islamic psychological therapy that can be integrated into modern mental health practices.

This research method uses a non-test technique in the form of a questionnaire. The sample of this study consisted of 65 XII students. The sampling technique was carried out using the Slovin formula, resulting in a total of 56 samples. This study uses a simple regression analysis to see how much impact Positive Parenting has on the Self-Leadership of Grade XI Adolescents at the Ubudiyah P. Brandan Private Islamic High School. The results of the study indicate that there are positive influences of parenting on self-leadership in students at Ubudiyah P. Brandan Binjai Private Islamic High School, with a significance test of P < 0.000 and the equation Y = 9.99 + 0.90X. Furthermore, based on the test results, the variable's influence is reflected in an R-Square value of 0.996 (99.6%). This data shows that there is a significant influence of self-compassion on resilience, with a 99.6% effect. At the same time, other factors influence 0.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of self-regulation in learning on students' resilience at SMA Tunas Harapan Mandiri Rantau Prapat. A quantitative method was used, with 166 students selected through random sampling from a total population of 200. The results showed a significant positive effect of self-regulation on student resilience, with a coefficient of rx2y = 18.072 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.01). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.870, indicating that 67.10% of students' resilience is influenced by their self-regulation in learning. Additionally, a significant positive relationship was found between self-regulation and peer social support on resilience (r = 0.894; p = 0.000). These findings suggest that the better students' self-regulation, the higher their resilience in facing academic challenges.

Abstract

Labor productivity in Indonesia is facing challenges following the COVID-19 pandemic, one of which is the growing phenomenon of quiet quitting. This phenomenon is one of the phases of disengagement, where employees only complete tasks according to the job description without any extra effort. Previous studies have shown that quiet quitting is becoming increasingly common following the pandemic and is more prevalent among Gen Z than among other generations. Additionally, work disengagement among the Millennial generation is also relatively high. If quiet quitting occurs on a massive scale, it can reduce innovation, increase the workload for engaged employees, and lead to stagnation in organizational growth. Therefore, further research is needed to understand how quiet quitting develops between the two generations. This study aims to describe the level of quiet quitting among Millennials and Gen Z. The research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive design. The sample was obtained through purposive sampling, comprising participants from the Millennial generation (born 1981 - 1996) and Gen Z (born 1997 -2012) who are currently working. Data were collected through an online survey using the Quiet Quitting Scale developed by (Galanis et al., 2023). The QQS measuring instrument consists of 9 items, with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.773, indicating good consistency. The study included 105 research participants, comprising 40 Millennials and 65 Gen Z individuals. The results showed that the level of quiet quitting of Millennials and Gen Z tended to be low. The low level of quiet quitting among Gen Z and Millennials suggests that both groups remain highly engaged in their work. This research is expected to provide valuable insights for companies in designing effective strategies to increase employee engagement and mitigate the negative consequences of employee turnover.

Abstract

The TikTok Marriage is Scary trend can have a negative impact on Gen Z. The existence of content containing negative narratives causes problems for Gen Z in the form of anxiety. This study aims to determine the impact of the TikTok Marriage is Scary trend on Gen Z in viewing marriage. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data collected through interviews and analysis of videos and comments. Informants in this study were selected by purposive sampling with the following criteria: 13-28 years old (Gen Z), actively using the TikTok application and have seen or been exposed to Marriage is Scary content. The results showed that the TikTok Marriage is Scary trend had an impact on Gen Z's anxiety, stress levels and confidence in marriage. This is further exacerbated by Gen Z's lack of literacy, as well as policy provisions from the TikTok platform that have not been able to select content uploaded on social media. This finding shows the importance of digital literacy so that Gen Z is able to respond to negative content more wisely.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of media, specifically romantic films and fictional stories, in shaping romantic beliefs among early adults. An experimental method was employed with a pre-test and post-test design across two groups. A total of 50 participants (aged 20–30) were divided into two groups: the first group (n=25) watched romantic films, while the second group (n=25) read romantic fiction. Changes in romantic beliefs were measured using a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 7. The results indicated that the average romantic beliefs score of the film group increased from 3.2 to 4.1 (p < 0.01), while the fiction group showed an increase from 3.3 to 3.8 (p < 0.05). Statistical analysis using an independent t-test revealed that the score increase in the film group was significantly greater than in the fiction group (t(58) = 2.89, p < 0.01). These findings suggest that visual narratives in films are more effective at eliciting emotions and reinforcing beliefs about romantic relationships compared to written text. These results also have practical implications that film media can be used as a psychological and educational intervention approach related to romantic relationships in early adulthood.

Abstract

The pre-retirement period is a phase full of uncertainty and often triggers anxiety in employees. This study aims to determine the effect of intolerance of uncertainty (IU) on anxiety in pre-retirement employees. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The subjects of the study were 60 ASN employees who will enter retirement in 2026. The instruments used were the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale–12 (IUS–12) and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression using JASP. The results of the analysis showed that IU had a significant effect on anxiety (R² = 0.106; p = 0.011). The higher the level of IU, the higher the anxiety felt by individuals approaching retirement. The conclusion of this study is that IU is one of the psychological factors that can predict anxiety in the pre-retirement period. The implication of this study is the importance of psychological intervention to help individuals prepare for retirement more adaptively.
