Abstract

his study aims to analyze the management of the entrepreneurship curriculum in improving the financial literacy of students in West Java. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design at three private universities, namely the National University of the Republic of Indonesia (UKRI), the STTT Bandung Polytechnic, and the University of Pasundan (Unpas). Informants are selected purposively and involve academic leaders, study program chairs, lecturers, entrepreneurship program managers, and students. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the entrepreneurship curriculum has the potential to be a strategic instrument to strengthen students' financial literacy, but its effectiveness depends on the quality of integration at the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. At the planning stage, the integration of financial literacy is not uniform. At the implementation stage, project-based learning, business simulations, mentoring, and evidence-based feedback have proven to be most effective in shaping applied financial skills. However, at the evaluation stage, financial literacy has not received adequate assessment weight because the rubric still emphasizes creativity, presentation, and promotion. This study concludes that strengthening financial literacy through entrepreneurship education requires a curriculum that explicitly formulates financial competencies, supported by contextual learning, and assessed through standardized authentic assessments.

Abstract

This study critically analyzes the readiness of pre-service teachers to integrate Bengkulu ethnopedagogy into modern classroom settings. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from 150 pre-service teachers at several universities in Bengkulu through a readiness scale survey and semi-structured interviews. This study employs a mixed-methods approach by collecting data from 150 pre-service teachers in Bengkulu through readiness scale surveys and semi-structured interviews, which were subsequently analyzed using descriptive-ANOVA anlysis and thematic analysis. The findings reveal a significant gap: while pre-service teachers possess high affective readiness (valuing local culture), their pedagogical readiness specifically in transforming indigenous knowledge into structured lesson plans remains moderate to low. Key barriers identified include the lack of standardized ethnopedagogical teaching materials and a perceived tension between traditional values and global 21st-century skill requirements. This research suggests that teacher education programs must move beyond theoretical appreciation and provide practical frameworks for "indigenizing" the curriculum. Reinvigorating local wisdom is not merely a nostalgic endeavor but a strategic necessity to foster students' cultural identity amidst global modernization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of instructional leadership and data-driven planning on the performance of public vocational high school (SMK) teachers in Semarang Regency. A quantitative approach was employed using an ex post facto method with a correlational research design. The population consisted of 247 productive/vocational SMK teachers in Semarang Regency. Proportional random sampling was used to ensure representation from each school, resulting in a sample of 156 teachers. Data were collected through closed-ended questionnaires that were tested for validity using Pearson’s product-moment correlation and for reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha to ensure their validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that instructional leadership partially contributes 18.3% to SMK teacher performance, while data-driven planning contributes 19.8%. Simultaneously, both variables have a combined effect of 26.7%. These findings suggest that improving SMK teacher performance requires effective instructional leadership and well-implemented data-driven planning. Collaboration between learning-centered leadership and effective data utilization and management supports teacher performance in achieving high-quality learning. Teachers are expected to improve their data literacy so that data use is not merely administrative but also analytical and strategic. This study is expected to serve as a reference for education policymakers in designing more effective and sustainable strategies to enhance teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to develop feasible and practical ethnopedagogy-based Seni Dendang teaching materials to integrate character values at SDN South Bengkulu. Using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model, this research involved six expert validators (material, language, and media) and limited trials with teachers and fifth-grade students. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and Likert-scale questionnaires, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using Aiken’s V index and the percentage agreement formula. Validation results showed a very high level of feasibility, with average scores of 0.86 from material experts (Highly Feasible), 0.83 from language experts (Highly Feasible), and 0.86 from media experts (Highly Feasible), with expert agreement reliability exceeding 81% (Very Strong). Field trial results demonstrated extraordinary practicality, with student responses reaching 97.71% and teacher responses at 98.33%. This study concludes that these character-based Seni Dendang teaching materials are effective and practical for use as a learning resource to enhance student character while systematically preserving local cultural identity in elementary schools. The significance of this research lies in its dual impact: practically, it provides a concrete solution to the deficit of contextually relevant learning resources by utilizing local wisdom as an active instrument for character building. Theoretically, it enriches the field of Educational Technology by demonstrating the successful integration of ethnopedagogy within the ADDIE framework to strengthen the national character values aligned with the Merdeka Belajar curriculum.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and test the effectiveness of the Seuramoe Saientia model, a culture-based science learning model integrating Acehnese local wisdom into ecosystem instruction at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE framework (Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The population consisted of 80 fifth-grade students at MIN 2 Langsa, Aceh Province, Indonesia. The implementation phase involved one experimental class comprising 25 students, selected through purposive sampling. The model was designed to integrate the traditional seuneubok land management system into science literacy learning through five instructional phases: Cultural Orientation, Context Exploration, Knowledge Construction, Artefact Creation, and Global Reflection and Expansion. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, observation instruments, science literacy tests, and documentation. Qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis, while quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain calculations, and paired-sample t-tests to determine learning effectiveness. Expert validation confirmed that the model was conceptually valid, culturally relevant, and pedagogically feasible. The effectiveness results showed a significant improvement in students’ science literacy. The mean pre-test score of 61.8 increased to 79.4 in the post-test, with an N-Gain of 0.46 (moderate category). Statistical analysis indicated a significant difference between pre- and post-test scores (t = 5.37; p < 0.05). Additionally, observational findings revealed enhanced ecological awareness, collaborative skills, and the ability to connect scientific concepts with local cultural values. These findings demonstrate that integrating Acehnese cultural practices into science learning effectively improves students’ science literacy while strengthening contextual ecological understanding. The Seuramoe Saientia model offers a validated and empirically supported framework for culturally responsive science education at the primary level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning materials for Sharaf based on a communicative approach to address the limitations of existing instructional practices that have not optimally enhanced students’ Arabic speaking skills (mahārah al-kalām). It also seeks to examine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed materials among students at STIBA Islamic Institute of Makassar. The research employed a design and development research approach consisting of several stages: needs analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The research data consisted of both quantitative and qualitative data obtained from 30 first-semester students as well as subject-matter experts and instructional design experts. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, observation sheets, and pretest–posttest assessments of Arabic language proficiency. The data were then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed learning materials. The findings reveal that the developed materials demonstrate a very high level of validity, with an average score of 3.97, and are considered practical and engaging based on positive student responses and observations of the learning implementation. The effectiveness test indicates a significant improvement in students’ speaking ability after the use of the learning materials, with an N-gain score of 0.41, which falls into the moderate category. These findings suggest that integrating Sharaf rules into meaningful communicative activities can bridge the gap between students’ mastery of linguistic structures and their ability to apply them in Arabic-speaking practice. Therefore, Sharaf learning materials based on a communicative approach are suitable to be used as an innovative alternative in teaching Sharaf at Islamic higher education institutions.

The study is motivated by the necessity for schools to adopt a data-based quality management system that supports planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement. This study employs a qualitative approach with a multisite research design. The research subjects consist of the school principals, deputy principals in charge of curriculum, student affairs, facilities and infrastructure, public relations and industry relations, as well as administrative coordinators at State Vocational High School 1 Punging, State Vocational High School 1 Trowulan, and State Vocational High School NU Ma'arif Jatirejo. Data collection involved in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation studies of planning and school quality reports. Data analysis followed the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, applying source triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that the Education Report serves as a foundation for developing school program planning, implementing quality improvement activities, evaluating school performance, and preparing for continuous follow-up improvements. The application of the Deming Cycle encourages schools to make data-based decisions and strengthen their internal quality management systems. Supporting factors for implementation include the commitment of school leadership, active involvement of the management team, and the availability of integrated quality data. Inhibiting factors include limited facilities and infrastructure for practice, differences in human resource competencies, and suboptimal utilization of quality data across all work units. This study concludes that integrating the Education Report with the Deming Cycle approach is effective in supporting systematic and continuous mapping and improvement of SMK quality.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Aswaja Annahdliyah curriculum in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions under Muslimat NU in Jakarta, as part of efforts to improve educational policy. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a program evaluation design based on the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document studies involving two principals of “A” accredited Muslimat NU PAUD institutions. Data analysis was conducted thematically using Atlas.ti software and validated through triangulation of techniques and sources. The findings indicate that the Aswaja Annahdliyah curriculum is in accordance with the fundamental needs of early childhood and community expectations, supported by a strong legal foundation and Islamic values. The curriculum makes a significant contribution to strengthening children’s character and religiosity. However, several weaknesses were identified, including limited innovation in learning, minimal technology integration, insufficient professional development for teachers, and suboptimal school-parent collaboration. In addition, the evaluation instruments for learning outcomes need to be strengthened to support more responsive program decision-making. This study recommends the development of a more adaptive curriculum, enhancement of teacher capacity through continuous training, and strengthening of cross-sector partnerships. The implications of this research are expected to serve as a reference for developing a more holistic and sustainable Islamic values-based PAUD curriculum policy.
