Abstract

The dense commercial areas that have sprung up around communities have led to the proliferation of commercial parking areas, which are intended to help consumers or customers who come to visit by tidying up their vehicles so that they are more organized and secure when left by consumers to shop or carry out activities in the commercial area. However, commercial parking areas often display signs stating, “We are not responsible for any losses,” which creates ambiguity regarding the parking management's responsibility, as if they are not involved in any losses experienced by consumers. This study aims to identify the limits of responsibility that should be borne by parking lot managers and to provide consumer protection. This study uses normative research with a deductive syllogism method based on the major premise, followed by the minor premise, and then both premises are drawn into a conclusion. A syllogism consists of two premises (major and minor) and one conclusion. The major premise is that commercial parking area managers are obligated to protect consumers' belongings or vehicles from any form of theft or other losses experienced by visitors. while the minor premise lies in the ambiguity of the statement “Any form of loss is not our responsibility,” which is clearly irrelevant to use as it would harm visitors or consumers and absolve the parking area operator of responsibility in the commercial area.

Abstract

Green branding involving public figures is increasingly  shaped by digital dramaturgy and multimodal strategies that construct ecological personas. This research investigates the influence of service quality and brand image on customer loyalty, with particular emphasis on the mediating role of customer satisfaction in the context of eyelash extension services at Beauty Bar D’Stylashes in Bandung. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 200 participants through structured questionnaires and analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings reveal that both service quality and brand image significantly affect customer satisfaction, which in turn plays a crucial role in mediating and enhancing customer loyalty. Among the three variables, customer satisfaction emerged as the most influential factor in fostering loyalty. While service quality has a direct impact on satisfaction, brand image contributes more strongly through its indirect effect via satisfaction. These results underscore the importance of consistently delivering high-quality service and cultivating a compelling, emotionally engaging brand image to build lasting customer loyalty. For businesses in the beauty industry, enhancing customer satisfaction is not

Abstract

While research on electronic payment adoption has been explored extensively, an in-depth investigation into the critical factors that motivate ferry passengers to utilize the QRIS application for paying port levies is of utmost importance. This study is important for optimizing levy management processes and enhancing overall efficiency. In our study, we engaged 424 ferry passengers, harnessing an expanded Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that integrates considerations of compatibility, experience, and technology anxiety. This comprehensive approach enables us to thoroughly evaluate the willingness of passengers to embrace QRIS for their payment needs. Employing the PLS-SEM methodology, our findings reveal compelling insights: both perceived usefulness and perceived convenience play pivotal roles in shaping passengers' attitudes and intentions to adopt QRIS. Notably, while compatibility significantly influences attitudes, it surprisingly does not affect the intention to use the application. Moreover, we found that experience does not sway attitudes or intentions, and while technology anxiety does not significantly affect attitudes but does influence the intention to use QRIS. Crucially, the attitudes towards usage serve as a powerful mediating factor, significantly amplifying the intention to adopt the QRIS application. By understanding these dynamics, we can enhance the implementation of electronic payment systems in ferry operations, ultimately driving greater efficiency and satisfaction among users.

Abstract

Mapping bibliometric analysis of digital innovation in streamlining bureaucratic processes aims to identify and analyze the impact of digital technology implementation in improving bureaucratic efficiency and map the development of key themes in this field. This research was conducted by analyzing 354 relevant publications related to digital transformation in organizational management. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between digital innovation and bureaucratic efficiency, and to identify the challenges and opportunities that come with the application of technology in bureaucratic structures. The method used is bibliometric analysis which involves searching, mapping and analyzing relevant literature using bibliometric software to identify research patterns and emerging trends. The results show that digital innovation contributes greatly to improving efficiency through automation, standardization, and agility in bureaucratic structures. Nonetheless, there are potential drawbacks that need to be considered, such as over-reliance on technology that can reduce the role of humans in decision-making and organizational creativity. This mapping provides deeper insights into how digital innovations can streamline bureaucracy, while also reminding the importance of maintaining a balance between technology and human oversight in managerial processes.

Abstract

The phenomenon of women undertaking dual roles remains a persistent and multifaceted challenge, particularly for those who are simultaneously fulfilling responsibilities as wives, mothers, professionals, and students. This complexity is further heightened in the context of Long-Distance Marriages (LDM), especially when young children are involved. This study aims to explore the lived experiences of women managing dual roles within the framework of LDM. Employing a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with women who are engaged in professional work and higher education, while also navigating long-distance marital relationships and caring for preschool-aged children. The findings reveal that women in dual roles frequently experience role conflict, particularly in fulfilling their maternal duties, which often leads to feelings of guilt and anxiety. Moreover, social support plays a significant role in enabling these women to make informed decisions regarding role management and enhances their capacity for self-regulation. The involvement of extended family members during periods of marital separation also serves as a crucial source of childcare support, facilitating the preservation of emotional bonds between mothers and their children.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of transportation supplier performance, loading and unloading operations, and logistics service quality on transportation performance and their implications for operational performance of Special Express Parcel service at the Kendari Main Branch Office of PT Pos Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) via SmartPLS software, data were collected from 142 respondents across various operational units. The research reveals that transportation supplier performance has the strongest impact on transportation performance (β = 0.580), followed by loading and unloading performance (β=0.496) and logistics service quality (β=0.089). The model explains 98.4% of transportation performance variance, demonstrating exceptional predictive capability. All hypotheses were statistically significant (p<0.05), with t-statistics exceeding the critical value of 1.977. However, transportation performance explains only 5.5% of operational logistics performance variance, suggesting additional influencing factors. The findings indicate persistent operational challenges at KCU Kendari, including 100% delayed truck arrivals (averaging 30 minutes 26 seconds), 12.02% misrouting in loading and unloading operations, and 29.30% unresolved customer complaints. The research recommends implementing integrated supplier management systems, investing in automated handling equipment, strengthening customer service processes, and deploying advanced fleet management technologies to achieve sustainable operational improvements and maintain competitive advantage in Indonesia's dynamic logistics industry.

Abstract

This study explored the teaching style of an English teacher at SMP IT Cordova Samarinda using Grasha’s Teaching Style Model (1996), which identifies six types: Expert, Formal Authority, Personal Model, Facilitator, Delegator, and their combinations. The model emphasized how teachers delivered content, interacted with students, and structured the learning environment. A qualitative case study design was applied, focusing on one teacher to gain an in-depth understanding of instructional practices within a real classroom. Following Creswell’s (2013) view, a single case can provide deep insights when purposefully selected. Data collection included classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and analysis of instructional documents. The teacher predominantly used Delegator, Facilitator, and Personal Model styles. These approaches promoted student independence, encouraged collaboration, and fostered a more active and competitive learning environment. The study highlighted that such methods helped meet diverse student needs and enhanced engagement. However, challenges were also noted, including the time-consuming nature of these styles and their limited effectiveness for students who relied heavily on direct teacher guidance. While the study's single-participant design limited generalizability, it still offered meaningful insights into the role of teaching style in Indonesian secondary education. The presence of the observer may also have influenced classroom behavior. In conclusion, the findings suggested that professional development programs should focus on varied experiential training to better support junior high school students. The study also recommended further research involving different subjects or educational levels to expand the understanding of effective teaching practices.
