Abstract

This community service program was set up to help people in the community who don't know much about the economic potential of controlling domestic garbage. The program was put into action in Muara Penimbung Ulu Village, Ogan Ilir Regency. It was aimed at micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, housewives, and young people. The answer included community socialization events, technical instruction on how to compost organic trash and turn inorganic waste into handicrafts, using composting equipment at home, and mentoring on how to run a business based on waste. We evaluated the program's success by how well participants understood it, made products, and engaged with the community. The results indicated that people were more aware of the environment, more involved in their communities, and able to make compost and recycled crafts. This program helps the community reduce trash, improve the quality of the environment, and create long-lasting green jobs.

Abstract

The sustainability of small ruminant farming in developing regions is often constrained by feed scarcity during the dry season, low animal productivity due to unbalanced nutrition, and ineffective agricultural waste management. This program addressed these challenges by implementing a concentrate-combined silage technology within the Farmers Group (Poktan) and Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Kahuripan Urban Village. The primary objective was to transform abundant local corn stover into high-quality, stable animal feed. A quasi-experimental (pretest-posttest) design was employed to evaluate the intervention's effectiveness. Results indicated a statistically improvement in the participants' knowledge regarding nutrition and silage technology (2.84 and 2.7 for KWT and Poktan, respectively). The resulting silage, enriched with concentrate, demonstrated optimal fermentation success, confirmed by achieving an pH range is 3.8 and favorable physical characteristics. Crucially, the introduction of this enriched silage into the feeding regimen of goats at Poktan led to a higher Average Daily Gain (ADG) compared to the traditional forage-only diet, thereby enhancing livestock productivity and resolving the problem of nutrient deficiency. This technology offers a sustainable, dual-benefit strategy by simultaneously converting agricultural by-products into a reliable feed source, ensuring year-round feed security, and improving the economic viability of small-scale goat farming.

Abstract

The digital revolution has transformed the delivery of public services in Indonesia through digitalization processes and electronic-based government systems (SPBE). This change makes it easier for the public to access services, reduces corruption practices, and enhances government transparency and accountability. Nevertheless, there are several legal challenges in managing digital services, such as questions about the validity of digital administrative decisions, liability for system errors, differences in digital access, and personal data protection. This study uses a normative legal approach by analyzing legislation and related literature. The research findings indicate that administrative law plays an important role in overseeing and improving the performance of effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable governance, while also serving as the legal foundation for inclusive and equitable digital transformation. Problems in implementing digitalization Public services such as infrastructure disparities, digital literacy gaps, bureaucratic unwillingness to change, data security issues, and incomplete policies need to be addressed with a flexible and integrated legal approach.

Abstract

Deli Malay dance is an important part of the cultural identity of the Medan community. However, the development of modern culture has led to a decline in interest among the younger generation and a decline in the activities of traditional arts studios. This community service activity aims to preserve and develop the Deli Malay dance through digital transformation and a contemporary approach. The program was implemented at the Sri Indera Ratu Studio through outreach, contemporary dance training, digital editing training, management mentoring, and performance publication through social media. Evaluation was conducted through pre- and post-tests, observation of participant activities, and monitoring of digital indicator achievements. Results showed an increase in participant skills, namely digital editing (from 7.70 to 9.05) and arts management and organization (from 6.15 to 8.25). Contemporary performances were successfully implemented with video documentation and digital publication. Younger participants expressed interest in participating in follow-up activities, and the studio's social media accounts demonstrated increased public engagement. In conclusion, digital transformation is an effective strategy for preserving traditional arts, increasing youth participation, and empowering the arts community. This activity has the potential to have a social and economic impact on the sustainability of the Sri Indera Ratu Studio and can be replicated at other studios in North Sumatra.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out at the fish farmer group (POKDAKAN) Tirta Mukti in Baginda Village, Sumedang Selatan District, with the main focus on implementing IoT-based Smart Aquaculture in a biofloc system to improve the quality and productivity of Nile tilapia culture. The situation analysis showed several priority problems: the absence of real-time water quality monitoring devices, non-systematic recording of production and feed conversion ratio (FCR), weak business management, and the absence of digital marketing and attractive, licensed processed products. The implemented method combined socialization, training, field implementation, mentoring, and sustainability planning in a participatory approach. The solutions included installation of four water quality sensors (dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, turbidity) integrated with a web-based monitoring application (https://smartaqua.my.id/), an automatic feeder, training on biofloc and business management, preparation of simple bookkeeping templates, and development of digital marketing tools (social media, WhatsApp Business, packaging design, and PIRT draft). The results show increased partner capacity in using IoT technology, improved efficiency of feed use, more structured production and financial recording, and the initiation of online-based marketing. This program demonstrates that the integration of IoT, biofloc technology, and digital marketing can enhance productivity, added value, and sustainability of small-scale tilapia farming in rural areas.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of congklak as a learning medium for the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years. Using a quantitative method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest pre-experimental design, the study involved eleven children at the Kota Ilmu Plus Kindergarten. The intervention was carried out for three weeks with a frequency of once per week, a duration of 30-45 minutes per session. Data were collected through structured observations measuring the ability to count, problem solving, logical thinking, focus, and memory. The results showed a decrease in the average score from 20.82 (Developing According to Expectations) in the pre-test to 15.82 (Starting to Develop) in the post-test, with an increase in variance from 11.76 to 84.76. A paired sample t-test showed a significant difference (t=2.355; p=0.040<0.05). The analysis identified internal factors (cognitive maturity, emotional state, motivation, learning style, concentration, physical condition, previous experience) and external factors (student grouping, time management, lesson planning, teacher competence) that influence learning outcomes. The study concluded that the effectiveness of the congklak game is highly dependent on the suitability of the application to the individual characteristics of the child and requires attention to supporting learning factors. A differentiated approach that considers the child's cognitive-emotional readiness, adequate time allocation, and responsive teaching strategies to individual needs is needed.

Abstract

This study examines the responsiveness of Indonesia’s legal framework in addressing the escalating waste management crisis through the perspective of Satjipto Rahardjo’s responsive law theory. Waste has emerged as a multidimensional environmental issue influenced by population growth, consumption patterns, and limited waste processing capacity. Although Law No. 18 of 2008 provides a normative foundation for integrated waste management, its implementation remains inconsistent and often disconnected from social realities. This research analyzes gaps between regulation and practice, particularly regarding public participation, institutional coordination, and infrastructure readiness. Using a normative–qualitative legal method with statutory, conceptual, and socio-legal approaches, the study evaluates how responsive law principles can strengthen waste governance. The findings show that Indonesia’s waste regulations have not fully embodied responsiveness, as communities are still treated primarily as objects rather than active partners, and local initiatives are not optimally integrated into policy. This study proposes a model of ecological responsiveness, emphasizing adaptive regulation, community empowerment, and collaborative governance. These recommendations contribute to developing a more effective and sustainable legal framework capable of addressing environmental challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the main determinant factors that most dominantly influence the interest and learning motivation of Elementary School (SD) students. Fluctuations in interest and motivation are often the main obstacles to achieving optimal learning outcomes at the elementary level. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, involving the critical identification, evaluation, and synthesis of relevant primary studies. The synthesis of empirical findings indicates that students' interest and motivation are significantly influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include students' physical and mental condition, intelligence, and attitude towards the lesson, while the most dominant external factors relate to the teacher's role, encompassing teacher creativity in varied methods and media usage, and creating a conducive classroom environment. Furthermore, environmental support, particularly the role of parents and the availability of facilities, is also a crucial determinant. Intrinsic motivation factors, such as drive, needs in learning, and future aspirations, were found to be quite dominant. These findings confirm that effective learning strategies must be student-centered and supported by improving teacher competency in classroom management and instructional innovation, as well as active collaboration with parents.

Abstract

The phenomenon of political hoaxes poses a serious challenge to political communication in the digital era, particularly with the widespread use of social media. Hoaxes not only distort information but also have the potential to reduce political trust and undermine the quality of democracy. This study aims to analyze the relationship and influence of digital literacy on political trust among young social media users. The study employed a positivistic paradigm with a quantitative approach through a survey method. The study population was college students who used Instagram, with a sample of 399 respondents in West Java. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire measuring digital literacy and political trust, then analyzed using SPSS. The test results showed that all research instruments were valid and reliable. Spearman correlation analysis showed a positive and significant relationship between digital literacy and political trust (r = 0.355; p < 0.05). Furthermore, binary logistic regression analysis showed that digital literacy significantly influenced the likelihood of respondents having a high level of political trust (Exp(B) = 1.268). These findings confirm that digital literacy plays a protective role in dealing with political hoaxes and is important in maintaining the quality of political communication and democracy in the digital era.
