Abstract

Human trafficking as a transnational crime requires legal responses aligned with international standards, particularly the Palermo Protocol. Victim protection is a critical aspect considering the vulnerability of victims' positions. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of victim protection in human trafficking cases in Indonesia and assess its compliance with international criminal law principles. The research method employs a normative legal approach through legislative studies, conceptual analysis, and literature review of national and international legal frameworks. Data were collected through document studies, doctrinal analysis, and interviews with legal practitioners to deepen understanding of implementation issues. The research findings indicate that although victim protection has been normatively regulated under Law No. 21 of 2007 and the authority of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), its implementation remains ineffective. Challenges include limitations in ongoing assistance, minimal asset tracing mechanisms, weak fulfillment of restitution rights, and suboptimal inter-agency coordination. Compared to international standards, protection in Indonesia remains procedural and does not yet reflect a holistic approach in accordance with the 3P principles (prevention, protection, prosecution). The study concludes that there is a gap between legal norms and the implementation of victim protection.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the 7 Great Habits of Indonesian Children (KAIH) Program in shaping the character of sixth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 141 Inpres Parappunganta II, Takalar Regency. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research was conducted over two months and involved sixth-grade students, teachers, and the school principal. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification, with trustworthiness ensured through triangulation, member checking, and peer debriefing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the KAIH Program significantly improved students’ character, as shown by an increase in average behavioral scores from the “Sufficient” category to the “Very Good” category within one month. The program effectively fostered discipline, spirituality, independence, social responsibility, and healthy lifestyle habits. However, habits related to waking up early and sleeping early required continuous reinforcement due to external environmental influences. Key supporting factors included strong school leadership, teacher commitment, parental involvement, and student enthusiasm. The study concludes that the KAIH Program is an effective strategy for character education, provided that sustained collaboration among schools, families, and communities is maintained.

Abstract

Waste management remains a critical challenge in rural and semi-urban communities in Indonesia, where limited infrastructure and low public awareness often lead to environmental degradation. Jelbuk Village in Jember Regency produces approximately 1,200 kg of household waste per day, most of which is disposed of in rivers or vacant land. This condition has resulted in pollution, health risks, and flooding, while the economic potential of waste recycling remains untapped. To address these issues, the Universitas Jember community service team implemented an integrated waste management program that combines technical innovation with community empowerment. The technical approach involved designing and fabricating a portable organic waste chopper machine with a capacity of 120 kg/hour, enabling the production of compost from organic waste. In parallel, inorganic waste such as plastics and metals was separated for recycling. The non-technical approach included training, awareness campaigns, and mentoring in simple bookkeeping to strengthen community capacity for sustainable waste management. The program successfully reduced waste accumulation, improved sanitation, and created new economic opportunities through compost production and the sale of recyclable materials. Furthermore, the involvement of students in design and implementation enhanced academic outcomes and knowledge transfer. This initiative demonstrates that integrated technical and social approaches can effectively transform waste problems into community-based solutions with long-term sustainability.

Abstract

Strengthening national identity is an important aspect for students of Indonesian Schools Abroad, especially in the context of understanding state symbols such as the Rupiah currency. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge, understanding, and attitude of nationalism among PPWNI Klang students in Selangor, Malaysia through Rupiah currency education and mini-store-based buying and selling transaction simulations. The methods used include interactive education on the characteristics, functions, and value of the Rupiah currency, as well as hands-on practice through simulated buying and selling transactions designed to resemble simple economic activities. This activity involves students as active subjects so that learning is contextual and enjoyable. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of the Rupiah currency, the function of money in everyday life, and the growth of pride and attachment to Indonesia's national identity. The Mini Store simulation proved to be an effective medium for applied learning in instilling national values and basic financial literacy. Thus, this program can be an alternative model for strengthening national identity for Indonesian students abroad through an educational and practical approach.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to map the role of technological transformation, financial literacy, and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in strengthening financial performance in MSMEs and the financial sector through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Using the PRISMA protocol, 29 articles from the Google Scholar, Crossref, and ScienceDirect databases for the period 2020–2025 were systematically analyzed. The results of the study show a relatively consistent pattern of findings that financial literacy and technological transformation have a positive effect on business performance and sustainability. However, the implementation of GCG still faces challenges at the MSME level due to limited resources, while in the financial sector, GCG has been proven to strengthen accountability despite variations in its impact on profitability ratios. The inconsistency of results in several studies indicates empirical gaps influenced by human resource capacity and regional characteristics. This study provides a theoretical contribution in the form of an integrative conceptual framework and practical advice for policymakers to optimize the digital ecosystem and governance education to improve the competitiveness of the MSME and financial sectors.

Abstract

Dribbling is one of the fundamental skills in basketball and is especially important for beginner players, as it plays a major role in overall game control. Observations of athletes at DM Basket Club revealed several problems, including low dribbling ability, stiff movements, excessive focus on the ball, poor ball control and direction, as well as suboptimal coordination and agility. These conditions cause athletes to have difficulty avoiding opponents and to easily lose ball possession during games. This study aimed to determine the differences in the effects of figure eight wraps around training and figure eight dribble training on the dribbling skills of DM Basket Club basketball players in 2025. The study employed a quantitative experimental method with a pre-test and post-test two-group design using matching pairing. The population and sample consisted of 12 athletes selected through total sampling. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests. The results showed that both figure eight wraps around training and figure eight dribble training had a significant effect on improving athletes’ dribbling skills. However, there was no significant difference in the effect between the two types of training, indicating that both training methods are equally effective in enhancing the dribbling skills of DM Basket Club basketball players.

Abstract

The Baitul Maal Foundation of PLN (YBM PLN) Research Institute, located at Jl. PLN Duren Tiga no. 102, Pancoran, South Jakarta, has dozens of fostered families who are underprivileged families in the surrounding area. Scholarships for schoolchildren have been in place as a sort of guidance. Students fostered by YBM PLN require nutritional support to help them learn in school and strengthen their immune systems. As a result, community service and education activities that reinforce the concept of eating healthy and nutritious foods as part of a clean and healthy living behaviour (PHBS) are essential. As a result, there is a greater understanding and awareness of the need of proper nutrition for child development, particularly throughout the school years. Fulfilling family nutrition needs, beginning with nutritious and balanced home meals in combination with Indonesian herbs, will boost immunity, prevent disease, and promote students' learning activities.

Abstract

Oral and dental health remain important public health issues because they directly affect overall well-being and quality of life. Community-based Puskesmas play a crucial role in promoting preventive oral health habits within the community. This study explored levels of knowledge, attitudes, and daily practices regarding oral health among community members at Pegirian Puskesmas. A descriptive study was conducted with 50 participants who took part in an oral health education activity. The analysis revealed that most participants possessed good knowledge and held very positive attitudes toward oral health; however, these attitudes were not always reflected in their everyday practices. The primary challenge identified was the disparity between what people know and how they apply it in their daily lives. For this reason, health education was delivered with an emphasis on strengthening behaviour and providing practical guidance. The results indicated that attitudes were the strongest aspect, followed by knowledge, while oral health practices remained the weakest. In conclusion, oral health promotion efforts should not only aim to increase knowledge and improve attitudes but also place greater focus on behaviour-based approaches to achieve lasting oral health outcomes.

Abstract

Children with HIV/AIDS are a vulnerable group that needs to strengthen their understanding of personal safety from an early age due to limited knowledge and the risk of experiencing unsafe treatment. Situation analysis shows that personal safety education that is appropriate to the child's age and condition is still limited, so that children do not fully understand the limits of their personal body and how to protect themselves. These problems are the basis for the implementation of community service activities that aim to increase the understanding of personal safety of children with HIV/AIDS through education using puppet props. The activity was carried out at the Surakarta Lentera Foundation involving 15 children aged 6-12 years. The activity method includes pre-test, interactive education about personal body parts, safe and unsafe touch, and direct practice using puppet props, then ending with a post-test. The results of the activity showed an increase in the average score of children's understanding from 66.1% before the activity to 95.2% after the activity. In addition, children show the courage to tell stories and ask for help when they are in uncomfortable situations. This activity is complemented by the implementation of training of trainers for caregivers and the submission of educational manuals as an effort to sustain the program. It can be concluded that personal safety education based on doll props is effective, easy to accept, and feasible to apply to community service activities for other vulnerable children.

Abstract

Posyandu Elderly program in the working area of the Sadabuan Health Center, Padangsidimpuan City. The increase in the number of the elderly along with the increase in life expectancy requires optimal and sustainable health services. This study uses a quantitative approach with an analytical descriptive design. The study population is all elderly people who are registered as participants of the Elderly Posyandu, with samples taken using stratified random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS through descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the study showed that the level of education of the elderly did not have a significant effect on the level of participation in Posyandu Elderly activities. On the other hand, family support, social interaction of the elderly, and activities of health cadres have an influence on the success of program implementation. Elderly people who receive family support and have good social interaction tend to be more active in participating in activities. The active role of cadres also increases the effectiveness of services. It was concluded that social factors have an important role in supporting the success of the Elderly Posyandu, so it is necessary to strengthen family support and empower health cadres in a sustainable manner.
