Abstract

The importance of art education in instilling the principles of Pancasila that should be taught to pupils has diminished since the era of technological transformation. Learning the names of the Pancasila principles through music is a powerful tool. However, pupils lose interest in the process when learning is still presented in the traditional fashion. Student's strengths in global variety, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity can be cultivated through this music-learning process and included in their Pancasila student profiles. As a result, changes in music education are necessary for the extras. The study's overarching objective was to explain how interventions based on the world wall application might help students build a Pancasila profile to better serve their communities. The art and culture instructor and the tenth-grade pupils at MAN 2 Kediri in the city of Kediri participated in this study. This research uses observation, interviews, and written records to acquire its data.  The results of this study indicate that learning the art of music at schools in trumpet practice using the wordwall.net application can stimulate the profile of Pancasila students by cultivating an open way of thinking, mutual respect, mutual care and collaboration. This research is expected to be an innovative medium for teaching music learning so that students can get to know music in various ways

Abstract

Spirituality is a contentious human phenomenon that encompasses personal, sociocultural, and transcendent interconnection. In Indonesian society, spiritual experiences are often associated with religion. They are also part of the cultural standards, the way of thinking, feeling, and behaving shared by most of a culture's members. This research aims to examine the spiritual and cultural values of Belitung's Muslim society through the Sang Pemimpi film. The research method in this study was critical discourse analysis, a qualitative approach based on a critical paradigm. This study combines Theo van Leeuwen's critical and multimodality discourse analysis techniques. Spiritual values and cultural standards are used as theoretical elements. The character in the film's text with the background of the Muslim society and the Belitung people's culture is the focus of this study. According to the film analysis, spirituality is formed by socio-cultural interactions in people's daily lives. The Muslim community in Belitung adapts well to religious and cultural differences in their social relationships with other ethnic groups, including the Chinese ethnic groups. According to the findings of this study, religiosity and communal domains are the aspects that appear the most in the film.

Abstract

This research plan intends to study, analyze, and explain comprehensively but in a more practical format regarding the interpretation and working of kendhang on the structure lampah tiga. Gendhing with the lampah tiga structure is one of the special gendhing structures because it has a bar where not many gendhing repertoires have this bar, so, of course, there are many problems for the composer, especially the ricikan kendang to present this gendhing structure, knowledge is needed to determine the interpretation and garap variant so that it can identify and present gendhing with structure. The method used is a descriptive analysis based on empirical knowledge. Empirical knowledge will help in analyzing the variety and interpretation of the lampah tiga structure, while the garap approach is used as a tool to dissect the musical situation in the intended gendhing structure. The qualitative descriptive data analysis method is carried out by observing the validity of the data through data triangulation. Accurate data collection through library research, interviews, and observations is expected to be able to explore the work on kendhangan gendhing lampah tiga. It is hoped that this research will be able to support teaching and learning activities in the form of textbooks, and it is hoped that it can add references to karawitan knowledge books.

Abstract

Malioboro is an integral part of the architectural artwork of the city of Yogyakarta, which is full of meaning, philosophy, and noble values of Javanese culture. Currently, Malioboro has developed into a tourist area and a quite existing public cultural space. However, along with the times, the philosophical meaning and noble values embedded in the architecture of the city of Yogyakarta by HB I as the founder of Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat seem to be unclear and increasingly difficult to read. The video art installation Lampah is a form of creative response to the existence of contemporary Malioboro as a public space as well as a meaningful piece of architectural art. By using interpretative-subjective approaches and artistic methods, the creator reads this phenomenon and represents it in the form of Lampah artwork. As a contemplative space, 'Lampah' also offers an alternative way to transform Javanese noble values and spirituality by using idioms and ways of speaking in Javanese culture. Models in architecture are used to complete the design of this work. It is hoped that this concept can provide new insights and discourses in art, especially new media art

Abstract

This study investigates the role of Islamic art, specifically Hadroh, in conveying religious messages within communities with limited exposure to spiritual practices and religious studies. Given the prevalence of such circumstances, particularly among individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, alternative approaches to religious communication are essential. In response, the Santri Besek of Surokarsan village, Yogyakarta, have adopted Hadroh art as a means of religious preaching. Through a comprehensive examination conducted in Surokarsan village, utilizing methodologies including in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, this research explores the effectiveness of using art as a medium for religious communication. The findings reveal significant enhancements in da'wah efficacy, particularly among mothers, teenagers, and children. Participants demonstrated heightened enthusiasm towards fostering mosque prosperity, indicative of the impact of art-based religious communication. Notably, the study identifies a notable shift in the religious practices of mothers, with increased engagement in rhythmic recitations of Sholawat accompanied by Hadroh, even among those previously less active in spiritual activities. Furthermore, children exhibit greater receptivity to religious education when delivered through rhythmic or melodic formats, suggesting the potential for innovative approaches to religious instruction. In conclusion, this research underscores the value of incorporating art, particularly Hadroh, in religious communication strategies, particularly within communities facing limited exposure to traditional spiritual practices. By leveraging artistic mediums, such as music and rhythm, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of how to effectively convey religious messages and promote religious engagement among diverse populations.

Abstract

There are many alterations and adaptations of the workspaces after the Covid-19 pandemic. Nowadays, workspaces are required to have flexibility in facilitating physical and virtual activities, work-from-home (WFH), and work-from-office (WFO) activities. Besides, workspaces must provide comfort based on user preferences and demand to support workers’ health and productivity. In order to answer these problems, the design of interactive digital devices that can be adjusted according to physical needs, activities, and preferences is needed to support the ideal workspace comfort. The research method used in this research is a literature review related to ideal workspace comfort standards and an assessment of the Arduino as an interactive digital device to produce an interactive digital device method design that can detect ideal comfort and be applied to workspaces. The result shows that as an interactive digital device, Arduino can be implemented in a workspace to detect and produce ideal workspace comfort regarding lighting, noise, temperature, and humidity. Arduino also supports flexibility and varied demand in a workspace because of its adjustable artificial intelligence feature. The ideal standard of workspace differs based on the activities and geographical conditions of the country and is related to the varied preferences of its users. Based on its complexity, for further research to be carried out, it is recommended to conduct a case study of ideal workspace interior design with an Arduino device in a specific place to generate more accurate data and suitable workspace design.
