Abstract

Breastfeeding a baby is the next stage after giving birth. Previous research shows that giving exclusive breast milk can meet the baby's nutritional needs. However, many postpartum mothers still have difficulty breastfeeding properly and easily. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that 46% of new mothers experience difficulty in providing exclusive breastfeeding. Therefore, efforts that can be made to facilitate breast milk production are through massage by applying a combination technique of warm compresses with Woolwich massage which can stimulate the release of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin which influence the smooth production of breast milk. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to provide care. Nursing for Post-Section Caesarean mothers in increasing the flow of breast milk by providing a combination technique of warm compresses with Woolwich massage. This action was carried out for 3 days, starting from 17 to 19 November 2023. The final result after being given a combination of warm compresses and Woolwich massage, both respondents experienced changes in the smoothness of breast milk production. Respondent 1 had a pre-intervention score of 0 and post-intervention had a final score of 3 (poor breast milk production), while respondent 2 had a pre-intervention score of 0 and post-intervention with a final score of 6 (good breast milk production). The conclusion of this scientific paper is that Woolwich massage can influence the increase in the smooth production of breast milk in post partum mothers, caesarean section.

Abstract

CHF is a condition where the heart is unable to pump enough blood to supply nutrients and oxygen to the body's tissues. Heart failure patients will experience significant psychological impacts such as excessive anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, or excessive sensitivity, resulting in a decrease in quality of life. The aim of this scientific work is to provide an overview of the application of 5-finger hypnosis therapy and Murotal Al-Qur'an to CHF patients to reduce signs and symptoms of anxiety. The method used in this scientific paper is quantitative in the form of a case study approach that explores nursing problems, especially anxiety in patients with heart failure. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and physical examination as well as the HARS scale assessment which was used to determine the anxiety scores for the two subjects. The results obtained by both respondents experienced severe anxiety problems so they were given implementation in the form of 5 Finger hypnosis therapy and murrotal Al-Qur'an with a duration of 30 minutes for 3 days with an intensity of once a day. The conclusion is that both respondents experienced a decrease in anxiety after the intervention, but there was a difference in the decrease in anxiety scores between the two respondents. According to the HARS scale, the reduction in anxiety scores was better for respondent 1 because the severity of the disease suffered by the two respondents was different. Respondent 2 has a history of hypertension and diabetes mellitus since three years ago and is obese and has a decrease in intelligence in the form of memory loss, but in respondent 1 there is none. It is hoped that the problem of nursing anxiety in CHF patients will be given more attention because it not only impacts the physical condition but also disrupts the psychological condition, thus affecting the healing process.

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) tahun 2021 menunjukkan prevalensi stunting sebesar 22 % atau 149 juta anak di bawah usia lima tahun.

Abstract

Microscopic examination of cancer development can be identified through histopathological examination. Hematoxylin–eosin (HE) is the gold standard for staining method. This processing can be obstructed if hematoxylin reagent out of stock in the laboratory. Other reagents are needed that can replace the use of hematoxylin, one of which is crystal violet. This study aims to evaluate the use of crystal violet as a nuclei stain in breast cancer preparations. The research sample consisted of 15 breast cancer preparations taken at the sample bank in the anatomical pathology laboratory of RSUD Dr. Slamet Garut. The results showed that from 15 preparations, it was observed that 4 preparations (27%) stained worth and 11 preparations (73%) stained poorly. Based on the research results, crystal violet crystal violet has a low core coloring ability in breast cancer preparations. From the results of this study, it is recommended to modify the crystal violet reagent by paying attention to the acidity of pH and concentration of crystal violet.

Abstract

Early Warning Score (EWS) is used to assess the physiological changes of patients in hospitalization where deterioration of the patient's condition can occur so nurses must have the knowledge and confidence to follow up the EWS. Nurses' knowledge and skills in identifying patient deterioration greatly affect the implementation of EWS. Nurse confidence affects the quality of service so it is necessary to explore how nurses' knowledge and confidence have been in the inpatient room which is the focus of this study. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between knowledge and nurses' confidence in following up EWS in inpatient settings. The research design is quantitative with a correlational approach. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique where the sample was 93 nurses. This research instrument consists of a demographic data questionnaire, EWS knowledge and nurse confidence. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaire links via g-form. Data analysis using the Spearman Test. The results obtained were that most respondents (68.8%) had sufficient knowledge, most respondents (61.3%) had high confidence and there was no correlation between knowledge and nurse confidence in following up EWS with a Sig (2-tailed) value of .330. It is necessary to study other factors that affect nurses' confidence in following up EWS with a larger number of samples.
