Abstract

The digitalization of institutional communication is an important phenomenon in various sectors, including Islamic education. The era of Society 5.0, which emphasizes the integration of technology into social and economic life, presents both challenges and new opportunities in communication within Islamic educational institutions. This article discusses the opportunities and challenges of digitalizing communication in Islamic education and its implications for the development of educational quality. Through a qualitative approach and literature review, this article explores various digital innovations that can be implemented in Islamic educational institutions and their impact on communication processes among institutions, teachers, and students. Additionally, this article identifies barriers that need to be addressed to ensure that digital communication is optimally utilized within the context of Islamic education.

Abstract

This research aims to identify prominent themes (research trends) in IRE found on Google Scholar. Employing a bibliometric approach, this study utilizes databases from Google Scholar, spanning the years 2021 to 2024, to examine patterns and developments in IRE research. The research follows a five-step methodology: keyword identification ("Islamic education" OR "Islamic religion education"), article search, article selection, data validation, and data analysis. To analyze the relationships between research themes, authors, journal publishers, and the dissemination of knowledge related to IRE, the Publish or Perish software is employed. Data visualization is performed using VosViewer. The results indicate that trending topics in IRE research include Science, Religion, Islamic Education System; Literature, Culture; Islamic Education Teacher, Knowledge; Islamic Education Management, Philosophy, Life, Islamic Value; World, Country, Covid, Religious Education; Pesantren; and Educational Institutions. The mapping of research themes in this study provides information on research gaps in IRE, which can be utilized by lecturers, researchers, and universities to enhance the quantity and quality of future research.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the digital era has influenced various aspects of life, including in the resolution of divorce cases. One phenomenon that has emerged is divorce without going through a court hearing, which is widely chosen because it is considered faster, more practical, and more efficient. However, this practice raises various legal issues, such as the unclear legal status of the couple, the unprotected rights of women and children, and the potential for violations of the principles of justice and legal certainty. This study aims to examine and analyze the legal challenges arising from the practice of divorce without a trial in the digital era and to provide constructive recommendations to overcome them. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a normative approach through literature studies of regulations, legal doctrines, and case studies in Indonesia. The results of the study show that the absence of clear regulations regarding online mediation, weak legal literacy of the community, and limited access to the digital justice system are the main obstacles in responding to this phenomenon. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for regulatory updates, integration of technology with the legal system, and strengthening digital legal literacy and ethics so that divorce in the digital era remains within the corridor of legitimate and just law.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the teaching strategies for speaking skills applied at the Islamic senior high school MA Darul Lughoh Wal Karomah Kraksan. Speaking is a fundamental skill in learning Arabic, especially in Islamic educational environments. The study used a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The findings show that teachers employ various active strategies, such as the communicative approach, role-playing, group discussions, oral presentations, and the use of digital media. These strategies have contributed to increasing students’ self-confidence, expanding their vocabulary, and encouraging the use of Arabic in classroom interactions. Among the challenges identified are the lack of Arabic-speaking environments outside the classroom, students' shyness, and limited diversity in teaching methods. The school has addressed these issues by mandating the use of Arabic in daily activities and providing teacher training programs. The study concludes that the speaking skill teaching strategies used at the school are effective and suitable for implementation in religious-based educational institutions

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to build a model of the phenomenon and research gap in increasing learning outcomes that can be increased with teacher professional competence in Islamic Religious Education lessons at SD Islam Darunnajah Jakarta. The study used a descriptive quantitative method with a cause and effect method. The population of the study was 206 students in grades 5 and 6 of SD Islam Darunnajah. Sampling using the SEM model was at least 5-10 times the number of indicators, so that the sample was 96 respondents. Data analysis used SmartPLS. The results of the study showed that teacher professional competence had a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes. While the R-Square value was 0.402, which means that learning outcomes were influenced by professional competence by 40.2% while the remaining 59.8% were influenced by other variables. The need for ongoing training to develop teacher creativity in designing learning strategies is very important. School management support, such as adequate resources and a forum for sharing experiences between teachers, will strengthen this effort. With these steps, it is expected that teacher professionalism will increase, giving a positive impact to students and educational institutions.

Abstract

Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) is a Sharia-based financial institution that supports financial inclusion and economic empowerment within multicultural societies. The principles of justice, solidarity, and sustainability adopted by BMT enable financial access not only for Muslim communities but also for non-Muslim communities. However, the implementation of BMT faces several challenges, including the stigma of Islamic finance exclusivity, low levels of Sharia financial literacy among the public, and suboptimal regulatory support.This study aims to analyze how the concept of multiculturalism can be integrated into BMT operations to strengthen its role as an inclusive financial model, as well as to identify challenges and strategies for optimizing its implementation. The research method employed is a literature review using a descriptive-critical analysis approach, based on academic sources including journals, books, and recent research reports relevant to multiculturalism, Islamic economics, and BMT practices in plural societies. Abstract

This study examines the urgency of effective educational management in the context of globalization and rapid social change, focusing on the case of Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Ibadurrahman in Nunukan, Indonesia. This study analyzes the effectiveness of Ibadurrahman's educational management through several key aspects: curriculum planning and implementation, teacher quality, educational facilities and resources, evaluation and feedback mechanisms, and community involvement. Despite challenges such as community perception and teacher qualifications, Ibadurrahman demonstrates a commitment to integrating general and religious education, fostering character development, and providing a supportive learning environment. The study concludes by assessing the contribution of Ibadurrahman's educational model to the success of its graduates in higher education and their contribution to society. The findings highlight the importance of a comprehensive approach to educational management that considers both academic excellence and character development in achieving quality education.

Abstract

The Qur'an and Hadith, as religious texts, serve as the primary sources of Islamic law. However, as divine revelations revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, the Qur'an does not explain itself (self-explanatory); rather, it was revealed in the Arabic language of the time and place in which it emerged. Since it was revealed within the Arab linguistic and cultural context, it inevitably intersects with the socio-cultural dynamics of Arab society at that time. Therefore, to understand the intended meaning of these texts, a comprehensive approach is required. Among the main approaches to understanding religious texts within the Islamic scholarly tradition are the textual and contextual approaches. The textual approach emphasizes the literal meaning of the text, referring to the structure of the language, vocabulary, and grammatical rules as found in primary sources such as the Qur'an and Hadith. In contrast, the contextual approach seeks to understand the texts through their historical, cultural, and social backgrounds at the time of revelation, while also considering contemporary societal conditions. In the formulation of Islamic law, integrating these two approaches is essential to produce an understanding that is not only normatively authentic but also practically relevant. This article explores how the integration of these two approaches can enrich the interpretation of the Qur'an and Hadith in addressing the evolving dynamics of Islamic law.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine how Islamic business ethics are implemented in purchasing and selling activities at the Arjosari traditional market in Pacitan Regency. This research is driven by the noted absence of business ethics implementation in the Arjosari traditional market. Integrity, friendliness, courtesy, and equity are fundamental tenets of Islamic business ethics; Preliminary observations suggest that some vendors may engage in practices perceived as dishonest, unapproachable, or inconsistent in pricing, raising concerns about the application of Islamic business ethics in the market. Customers often associate satisfaction with merchants perceived to uphold Islamic business ethics, suggesting a potential link worth exploring. Consequently, business actors must implement sharia business ethics, regardless of whether they are operating in micro or macro enterprises. This research utilizes a qualitative method to investigate the experiences and viewpoints of traders and customers concerning Islamic business ethicsThe study’s findings indicate that participants perceive Islamic business ethics as contributing to increased customer loyalty and trust in market transactions.

Abstract

The concept of shāliḥ in the Qur’an is often narrowly interpreted as individual spiritual piety, while in fact it encompasses broader social and leadership dimensions. Such a partial understanding may lead to the neglect of social responsibility and moral leadership in Muslim society. This study aims to: (1) examine the linguistic meaning of the term shāliḥ in the Qur’an; (2) analyze how al-Qurṭubī interprets verses containing the term; and (3) explore its relevance in individual, social, and leadership contexts. This research uses a qualitative approach through library research and applies thematic interpretation (tafsīr mawḍū‘ī). The findings indicate that al-Qurṭubī views shāliḥ as an integrative concept that connects ritual devotion, social responsibility, and ethical leadership. The study implies that the understanding of piety should be expanded beyond ritual obedience toward contributing to social justice. This perspective is relevant to Islamic education, public preaching, and social policy to foster a more holistic vision of piety in contemporary Muslim societies.
